Change from OEM 14 to 15
The OEMFront sprocket on the GSX250R had 14T and was replaced with a 15T for the purpose of reducing RPM on the highway.
If the Rear Sprocket remains at the OEM tooth count of 46, the speed difference will be about 6-7% if the RPM and selected GEAR are the same.
If high speed touring is the main purpose, the change from 14T to 15T is for Large.
TradeOff is also available, so there is no need to force replacement if you are not currently dissatisfied.
The following are three impressions from the trial run.
・Highway speed range is more comfortable
(RPMs are reduced at the same speed compared to the 14T, and vibration is somewhat suppressed)
Careful GEAR selection at low speeds and on uphill roads.
(Same GEAR, but with the same 14T feelings, it's awkward)
Gear changing on public roads will be slightly less
(less chance of using 6th gear)

The front sprocket does not loosen unless the Impact wrench is turned at the maximum Large Power to install it. From the next time, it can be turned manually.
Also, if you do not take the Bracket on the Cover of the Sprocket, the Cover will not be attached.
The Metropolitan Expressway and the Tomei Expressway are not different.
The start of the road down the road is sluggish and doesn't fit.
(Normally, up to 16T would be good.)

I have been doing both off-road racing and city driving, so I had an OEM 13 front sprocket, but I decided not to do off-road racing, so I bought a 14T to increase the size to a higher speed.

Demerit is
Increased Downshift in traffic jams and on steep uphill slopes.

It is easy to install, looks good and Parenthesis is nice.
At 27,000 km on the odometer, the Chain and front and rear Sprocket were replaced at the same time and the improvement was dramatic.
The oil seal on the drive shaft, which was leaking, could also be replaced at the same time, which was very efficient.

No problems with installation.
However, for the CUB of the Normal engine, the supplied fixing plate could be used, but for the Chinese 90cc engine, only the fixing plate that came with the engine could be used.

It was not listed as compatible with this Sprocket, but I bought it because it is compatible with other cars and would be able to go.
Was the one you received as per Image?
The shape of the meshing of the Shaft in the product image and this product is different, but the actual product naturally has no problem.
Was the installation difficult?
Simply replace the original Sprocket by loosening the nut and returning the original Sprocket's retaining claws.
It wasn't particularly difficult.
How was your experience with it?
I did not have any complaints from the OEM, since I replaced the seals with new ones while replacing the Shaft seals this time.
Therefore, we chose 14T, which is the same number as the OEM, so of course it will be the same in terms of running performance.
There was no rattling, etc., and I did not feel any difference from the OEM.
I am also satisfied with the price, which is lower than OEM.

HONDA CB250R's NORMAL is 13T, but we changed it to 15T because we have to turn the Engine on the highway. No modification is required and it can be installed with Bolt On.
No readjustment of the speedometer is required.
With the NORMAL 13, the Meter display showed 88 km/h even at a GPS speed of 80 km/h, which is about 10% higher. However, after replacing the front sprocket with a 15T, the GPS speed and Meter speed are now almost identical.
I expected to see an increase in distance in terms of fuel consumption, but the higher GEAR ratio and higher engine load offset this increase. However, the higher GEAR ratio and higher engine load offset the increase in speed, and fuel consumption was essentially unchanged from the time when the engine was in NORMAL 13.

Genuine JT Front Sprocket for ZX-9R
I purchased this along with the rear sprocket from JT sprockets brand. I decided to get the same brand as I have used them many times before and found the quality versus price is exceptional. Wanted to stick to the oem set up gearing as this is how the bike is supposed to operate. Maybe in the futue I will try a tooth lower in the front but for now, stay OEM gearing. Easy part to find, I was surprised Webikes stocked them really and quite a few different versions for different models and makes. Price was pretty good. Ordered along with other parts so the shipping was good too. Arrived with no faults or issues. The outer box had been sealed with extra tape to ensure, nothing could fall out or escape during transit. Any empty space was filled with air pockets and bubble wrap so nothing could move too much and damage other more delicate parts in the box. The machining of these sprockets is second to none. The spacing for the bolts is perfect. No problems with anything really. I have not found a sprocket that is of high a quality for the simialr price range before. I will stick with JT Sprockets. Have fitted before and know how they go on really easy little job. As I said, great quality parts from a great UK company. Thanks Webike for the great service as always and help with anything I need.
