Crankshaft Hole Cap O-Ring for the Grom
About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the crankshaft hole cap O-Ring, made from a soft flexible rubber to help create a good seal. About the feeling of use: The previous owner had significantly over tightened the crankshaft cap and damaged the O-Ring, the K-Pit O-Ring fitted perfectly with zero leaks. Products to buy together: The timing hole cap O-Ring from K-Pit would also be desirable to purchase along side this crankshaft hole cap O-Ring as they are ideal to replace together after you have finished checking your valve clearances. Difficulty of installation: The process to install just takes a few minutes, remove the crankshaft hole cap, be sure to discard the old O-Ring as they can remain in the hole on the engine case and then fit your new O-Ring that has been lubricated lightly with engine oil. Do not over tighten the plug as the manual only calls out for 8 N.m. Not difficult to do. Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting a quality part from K-Pit that was in stock and ready to ship unlike the Honda O-Ring but the K-Pit O-Ring is slightly more expensive. About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my perferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently unavailable due to Japan Post. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged. Replacement Gear Shift Spindle Oil Seal for the Grom
About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the gear shift spindle oil seal from K-Pit, the outer diameter of the oil seal is a hard plastic while the inner diameter of the oil seal is a soft rubber. About the feeling of use: Over time an oil leak developed on the lower surface of the engine and this gear shift spindle oil seal resolved that problem. Products to buy together: The counter shaft oil seal from K-Pit would also be desirable to purchase along side this gear shift spindle oil seal as they are ideal to replace together when reassembling the engine. Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about 30 minutes, remove the gear shift linkage and then pry out the old oil seal. Position the new oil seal and press it into the case. Not difficult to do. Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting a quality part from K-Pit and it was in stock and ready to ship unlike the Honda oil seal but the pricing between the brands is almost identical. About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my perferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently unavailable due to Japan Post. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged. Full Oil Change Set from K-Pit
* About quality and texture, This complete oil change kit has the usual disposable pleated paper style oil filter and the included alloy drain bolt washer along with the rubber O-rings for the filler cap and cover are nice to change every other oil change. * About the feeling of use, I find this full kit very handy to purchase when I feel just an oil filter change is not sufficient, no need to chance up individual part number as this kit has all you need for your Kitaco clutch cover setup. * Products to buy together, Alway a good idea to have a right crankcase cover gasket on hand for when the internal filter screen needs checking and cleaning. Webike also stock these from K-Pit. * Difficulty of installation, The installation of the entire oil change kit is straight forward, just be sure to lubricate the O-rings with engine oil prior to fitting. The process was completed in 10 minutes with no difficultly. * Cost performance and comparison with other products, This kit is well priced for al the items included and I don't think you would be able to purchase all this items separately for a cheaper price. * About shipping and packaging, I am happy to wait 6 weeks on average for my parts to arrive in Sydney Australia via Webike's sea freight which comes with tracking and insurance so I know I'm covered in case something was to go wrong but with there outstanding bubble wrapping and boxing there have been no problems. * Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing, K-Pit don't sell the oil filters on there own so if you are only wanting an oil filter then you can purchase the Honda OEM one 15412-HB6-003. I pushed it in with a lot of force and managed to get it on. I didn't realize that the hub damper was worn out, though I didn't see it at first glance.
