【K-PIT】O-ring Review
Timing Hole Cap O-Ring for the Grom
About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the timing hole cap O-Ring, made from a soft rubber to flex and seal to create a good seal. About the feeling of use: The previous owner had significantly over tightened the timing cap and damaged the O-Ring, the K-Pit O-Ring fitted perfectly with zero leaks. Products to buy together: The crank hole cap O-Ring from K-Pit would also be desirable to purchase along side this timing hole cap O-Ring as they are ideal to replace together after you have finished checking your valve clearances. Difficulty of installation: The process to install just takes a few minutes, remove the timing hole cap, be sure to discard the old O-Ring as they can remain in the hole on the engine case and then fit your new O-Ring that has been lubricated lightly with engine oil. Do not over tighten the plug as the manual only calls out for 6 N.m. Not difficult to do. Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting a quality part from K-Pit that was in stock and ready to ship unlike the Honda O-Ring and the K-Pit O-Ring was cheaper. About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my perferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently unavailable due to Japan Post. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged. Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: View the Kitaco engine tuning and maintenance parts catalog to see what other maintenance parts K-Pit have to fit the Grom and the Monkey 125.

Exactly
Oil replacement was done as the weather became cooler. This time, I replaced the Oil Filter Cover and Valve O-Ring together. I generally replace the O-Ring and Oil Filter Cover after about one year.
The OEM parts were not that expensive, and there was not that much price difference, but I bought the K-PIT ones that were sold at a lower price than the OEM ones. There were no particular concerns about the product, and the dimensions Exactly fit the groove perfectly. I will not know for sure until I use it for a while, but I think it is probably a normal usable product that is comparable to the OEM.

It can be used normally
The summer heat is over and the weather is getting cooler, so we decided to replace the Oil Filter Cover O-Ring. This time, we decided to replace the O-Ring of the Oil Filter Cover and purchased one from K-PIT, which was sold at a lower price than OEM. We have been replacing the O-rings on this and Valve's O-rings for about a year now. I know that there are some who replace the O-Ring every time, but I have had no particular problems with the O-Ring after a one-year replacement cycle, so I think it is safe to continue to do so.
As for the product, there was nothing of particular concern when I touched it, and the dimensions were Exactly and exactly in the groove. I will not know for sure until I use it for a while, but I think it is probably a normal usable product that is comparable to the OEM.
