Suspension has been released from various Manufacturers since the past but OHLINS has continued to reign as TopBrand. Because I am a cat ladder OHLINS, I have tried several times to another Manufacturer, but even if I try Adjust no matter how much I expected, I had problems such as early deterioration over time, Oil It was annoying me that there was an initial Trouble such as a leak.
Based on such experience, OHLINS is chosen without getting lost anymore this time. I planned to convert Front to OHLINS. After turning on old long-established OHLINS. OHLINS is rich in market data from the history for many years, familiar with the necessary requirements as Suspension, it seems that even with usage in different Wide range depending on User, it has been repeatedly commercialized running evaluation and durability evaluation repeatedly. With Manufacturer which is shallow and has little capital, this can not be done.
a) Performance : I think that there are also many people who think that NORMAL is sufficient enough because it runs only the general road and does not attack the pass. However, the most excellent performance among OHLINS's performance is rather general road. In a nutshell it's comfortable and has a sense of stability. Unlike the closed course on the general road, the road surface is uneven, and there are many scenes that unexpectedly push up to the waist. Also, during cornering, the behavior of the vehicle often becomes unstable as it rides on the Gap. In this suspension it is eased to the Large width and there is a sense of stability as if nothing had happened. In the case of myself, it is a type that places a considerable load on the rear wheel and turns, but it is very useful for stable stiffness in a state where the suspension has subducted by the load at the time of turning.
b) Quality : 9000 km running Currently, there is not any deterioration or problem. Once I set Ing it keeps keeping unchanged.
c) Texture : There is a luxury impression corresponding to the price. Neither processing accuracy nor finish is a ratio of NORMAL.
d) Durability : As mentioned above, there is no deterioration either functionally or externally. In my own experience I think that if you do Spring exchange and overhaul when you feel that routine cleaning and Spring have come to us, you will not see Sus' life expectancy earlier than Motorcycle's life expectancy.
e) Maintenance : We recommend Overhaul at 20000 km or 2 years according to the Manual, but I think that Overhaul of such frequency is unnecessary in the usual usage. The dirt attached to Shaft must be Beauty for beans. Since fine dirt passes through Dust Seal and goes into the interior, it will end its life due to performance deterioration and abrasion caused by Contaminate.
However, what OverhaulSystem guaranteed by Manufacturer is incorporated is a sense of security for the future.
f) Setting : How can this suspension depend on the requirements of the rider?. But it is important to set goals before you set Ing to what you value. It will be messed up if you do not have a goal. In case of myself, I asked for a place that can be bent stably even on a rough road on the general road. It was pretty good even if I left De Fault, but because footpeg became easy to rub, I added Pre-road 1. It got better just by shrinking 5 mm and strengthening the compression side of Damper.
Oh my gosh, after all OHLINS. It's The king of suspension.

OHLINS S36PR1C1 HO424
The Ohlins S36PR1C1 will not fit Australian Model GROM's. The fine print says "New model after June 2016 can not be used". The S36PR1C1 is very well made and finished. All the adjustments have a quality feel to them. At $900 (AUD) landed it's a very expensive lesson/research. It looks like it will fit, some GROM parts people say it will fit but it will not fit the way it was intended to fit. I'm running my S36PR1C1 in an inverted position in my Australian 2016 GROM and it just fits. The compression adjuster just binds on the rear wheel huger and the upper (under seat) plastic mudguard just binds on the gas reservoir at full travel. I have noted the Mileage and Date and will notify this page if/when and the reason I think the S36PR1C1 fails if used in an inverted position. View detail

Because it was only adjustment of Pre-road, I got lost as LEGENDTWIN, but at the Touring Main, it was too much performance from myself going to the pass occasionally.
In the past, I installed Suspension of cheap other Company Product, but it is totally different thing. There was a feeling of thrusting up at the step, I got tired from the middle of Touring, but I can overcome supple, so that I do not feel tired and I want to ride all the time.
Although it is not cheap shopping, I think that cost effectiveness is outstanding.

OHLINS I saw in my dream

Personally I was not dissatisfied with OEMRear shock of CB 1300SB at all.
It is a Motorcycle when going to Convenience mainly to buy Cigarette during daytime on a sunny day.
Since it runs almost entirely with parts in mind, I thought that the impact when it goes beyond Gap would be this.
However, people of XJR 1300 have always replaced my OEMRear shock because they are stupid.
Because I do not understand the setting thing at all, so I wear it as it is and I ran and did not understand the difference.

Road surface following ability is fluffy
Although the OEM Rear suspension of XSR 900 was too severe, OHLINS was excellent for flowing water.
Every time it exceeds Gap, VANVAN floating car body is completely settled down, and when going straight forward we will say Gap and you can see that Winding firmly follows the road surface. It will be fun to run anyway.

MT-09's suspension is either Front, Rear or Concept or much softer than my taste
Wide opening of Axel in town and at high speed will bring bottom and Front will float and become unstable.
Front gets Tuning so that the adjustment of Right's Cartridge is adjusted on the Compression side
Rear also got Tuning to do quite a bit with Shim adjustment and waist
I was boldly exchanged because of bottoming and elongation cutting occurred.
It was OEM before but it was a good feeling even at De Fault because I was on a vehicle of OHLINS before and after.
I can not beat a bit of thrusting and small vibration, but the stability feeling when the Speed ??range got better is good.

Reliable performance
About 50,000 kilometers using KA 4490 for non-Overhaul for about 20 years. As Pre-roadAdjust broke down, it was replaced by Late A12 ~ LINK previously considered for for 17-inchesKA203.
Basically they are the same product? Replacement work is completed without problems.
When loading KA4490, Preload AdjusterHose handling was tightly interfering with Frame, so we expected improvement, but interference with Frame occurs again when it is at the manual specified mounting position. Body shape, Hose mounting position changed but somewhat improved but mental health is not good so change Hose handling and install it. Tentatively REMOTE CONTROLLER Body housed in Space born with Fender Eliminator.
For Fender Eliminator Rear tire hoisting mud, from others Rear suspension For your protection, wear your own Mudguard!
Currently used in Basic Set, while checking each part While Setup.
Installation instructions etc. It is good that the Manual is easy to understand more, the installation position map has not changed from the previous Illustration diagram.

If you change to OHLINS, it will not hurt the buttocks even if you run 300 km.
In Grom at OEM Rear shock, a considerable push is coming up with just a little step as much as Manhole on the road. Therefore it is necessary to float the buttocks or to avoid it every step. Still it hurts my butt in about an hour. I can not enjoy running.
After 1 thousand kilometer driving, I dare to change to OHLINSRear shock absorber. Pushing up at the step completely disappeared and it became possible to run Smooth. Even if I run all day my ass does not hurt at all. If you have such dissatisfaction, you should switch RShock first before replacing the Exhaust System. Well, how to use It depends on how to ride.
About Setting.
Spring preloading is based on one person riding 65 ~ 70? In the initial setting. In HO 424, the preload is represented by how many millimeters shrinks from the free length of the spring. In the shock for the grom, 7 mm is the reference value. I weighed about 5 kilograms so we adjusted it to 5 mm weakly and set it up, but I will change it later. By the way, the preload amount is not adjusted by a sensation that is hard and soft, but it is adjusted by the state where the tire is floating and how much the swing arm sinks when the rider gets in. I'd like to adjust the preload first carefully. The adjustment method is described in detail in the instruction manual, but it is English. Just because there are figures, I think that there is no problem even if you are not good at English. Damping force (damping) Adjustment is compression side (compression damping) , Extension side (rebound damping) Both can be done after installation. Initial setting is the standard. The damping force seems to be adjusted by sensory things such as hard, stable sense instability, waist high, severe, loose, no grip feeling, rugged, bouncing. Try changing and making adjustments. It may be pleasure of Orleans that can also adjust pressure and extension side damping force.
About installation.
The necessary tool is Jack. In order to install the rear wheel Tire need to be floated. If it is a Jack of a car, it is OK if you apply Jack to the lower part of Engine or footpeg part of Right Side with Side Stand as the fulcrum.
Shock absorber Bolt at the bottom - Nut can be 17 mm, 14 mm Double-end Wrench, but the top Bolt - Because Nut is deep, 17 mm 14 mm Socket wrenchQuantity : You need 2pc or TWrench. There is nothing you can not do alone, but if you have two you can work easily. Those who do not have confidence would be better if they asked for a Motorcycle shop.
About Owners Manual
OHLINS's Owners Manual is useful in Large change and understand the function of Shock absorber well. Just being regrettable is that only English version. Carrozzeria Japan's Owners Manual also comes with an agent, but the content is different from that of OHLINS. There is no description about Setting method here.

I thought that I wanted to make fun by looking at the impression of another oil-cooled gsx-r1100User, but it was a wonderful change that did not disappoint.
