OHLIN TWIN LEGEND KA132 FOR 1978 KZ1000
Used RCM Sanctuary picture specifications to verify the correct Ohlin Shocks for my motorcycle. The only issue I had was my swingarm lower bolt holes were too shallow. I had to grind down the swingarm so the bottom shock eye would bolt in the holes. Still learning to adlust the preload, compression, and rebound settings. OHLINS S36PR1C1 HO424
The Ohlins S36PR1C1 will not fit Australian Model GROM's. The fine print says "New model after June 2016 can not be used". The S36PR1C1 is very well made and finished. All the adjustments have a quality feel to them. At $900 (AUD) landed it's a very expensive lesson/research. It looks like it will fit, some GROM parts people say it will fit but it will not fit the way it was intended to fit. I'm running my S36PR1C1 in an inverted position in my Australian 2016 GROM and it just fits. The compression adjuster just binds on the rear wheel huger and the upper (under seat) plastic mudguard just binds on the gas reservoir at full travel. I have noted the Mileage and Date and will notify this page if/when and the reason I think the S36PR1C1 fails if used in an inverted position. View detail
