Disc Rotor replacement for REBEL
The disc rotors were also replaced when the brake pads were replaced.
I don't have any tools, so I had to bring it in to Motorcycle shop to have the pad and rotors replaced.
The work took a little over an hour, and the cost was 1,980 yen for the pad replacement and 2,970 yen for the rotor replacement, for a total of 4,950 yen.
Brake Pads are DAYTONA Golden Padχ that I have been using for a long time.
What has changed is the appearance. The OEMRotor has only a hole, but the SUNSTAR has a slit and a hole.
The inner is shaped like a Spoke for OEM, but radial for SUNSTAR.
The product is of high quality and I am satisfied with its appearance.
The performance is supposed to be better than OEM, but I didn't feel any change in Touch or Fee Ring after changing to SUNSTAR Disc Rotor, even after riding on the street with Rebel 250.

OEM compatible normal disc
Since it is made in SUNSTAR, which is safe and reliable, I have no complaints at all about its performance.
The shape is perfect, of course, and the flatness of the Gold genus machined surface, Edge treatment, etc. are perfect.
Since it is a Rear Disc, it is simply a flat plate, basically punched out by PRESS.
However, unlike inferior products that have BALI on the edge of the PRESS punched out, all end faces are machined.
Excellent quality!
I bought it as DUCATI 900SL for Rear, but actually this size is exactly the same as the disc for Yamaha of the same period.
Compared to TDM's for RearOEM, which happened to be in stock, the size is a perfect match.
In the case of YamahaOEM and DUCATIOEM, the parts that do not hit the pad are painted black (poor parenthesis), but MADE IN SUNSTAR is stainless steel all over.
I chose SUNSTAR for this reason, but some people may feel that the black coating is tighter and better, so it is your choice.
If you choose SUNSTAR, you can rest assured that there is nothing inferior to OEM.
I chose the Hole Type because I like the OEM look and feel of the Hole Type, but if you use the Slit Type, you can differentiate the Hole Type from the OEM Type.

Parenthesis is good!
I bought it because it is a hassle to replace the Rotor every time when switching ON/OFF.
It is probably better to use it off, but I installed it on the OnTire because of its parenthesis appearance.
Naturally, Brake usually works.

OEM Product Substitution
Purchased as a replacement for an OEM Rotor that was discontinued.
It is thicker than the OEMRotor, but weighs 508g, the same as the 497g weight of the OEMRotor, which is less polished, so it seems to have been effectively thinned out.
Braking force is OEM same etc.

The Floating Disc has better design and braking power is definitely different.
The WaveRotor provides good heat dissipation, and the shape of the hole in the wall provides additional stopping power.
The braking force is completely different from that of NORMAL, so it is worth changing.
The mounting bolt should be replaced with a new one, and a screw lock should be attached with the specified torque!

Brembo 300mm Super Sport front disc
The standard Z900RS front discs have good performance, but the black inner carrier is steel and develops rust spots...not pretty! I replaced them with full-floating Brembo 300mm Super Sport discs with gold aluminum alloy carrier. Braking performance and feel is excellent, with the bonus good looks. The 300mm fitment is the same as stock, and original brake pads work well after breaking in period. I am sorry for the tar snake in the photo, it is not a fluid leak! View detail

One Side's OEM disc (brembo's cheaper version) seemed to have distortion and they were looking for a new disc rotor.
The candidates were the low-priced version of brembo, the advanced Type here, and the advanced MODEL of SUNSTAR, and we decided on this one in the middle.
Before ordering, the delivery time was 12 months. I inquired about it, but it took a long time to get an answer, so I ordered it and was told that the delivery time would be about 2.5 months. I decided to wait patiently, and within two months, I was informed that the product had arrived.
Since it coincided with the vehicle inspection, we sent the car to the dealer at the same time as the body, and it took two weeks to get back to us.
To be honest, I bought it with Dress-up expectations, so I didn't expect much.
It is 1mm thicker and slightly larger than OEM, so it looks and feels heavier.
I actually started to get in there, and when I started to get a little bit of a hit, I was able to get Brake to make a crisp decision.
The front end of the car does not shake even when braking forcefully, and since there is more room in the handling, it is now very easy to brake just before the corner and start laying it down. It is very fun to drive with a sense of security because it can take a very deep bank angle and has good brake performance, which is very important.

I used to use brembo's TDrive and was wondering if I should go with that, but Corona didn't have it in stock anyway.
