Fit to Off car without Tachometer
I purchased this unit because I wanted to know the Engine RPM when I converted my WR to MOTARD. The installation required the connection to the Accessories power supply that supplies power when the key is turned on, the Pulse wire of the Engine before it enters the ECU, and the connection to the ECU. (I think it was the Orange line.) I wanted to add ETC at the same time, so I installed OEMY's Gear's Harness kit and got ACC from there. Harness and connectors are located in the space in front of the ECU under the seat. The meter is not bad, although the indicator is not so easy to see. The RPMs are now visible and I feel more secure in turning it all the way up. View detail

Why not just use a regular LCD (with Black text)?

To another car model DAYTONA's gas type octopus (needle) I'm installing.
I have been using it for daily commuting nearly three years, but I am active in active work without breaking now.
Of course, I could choose the needle Meter, but since the installation space is also limited, I chose the Compact Digital display.
The reason for choosing is simple.
1. Reliability and function commensurate with price (Including Waterproof)
2. Easy to see display regardless of day or night.
3. Display of the maximum Large rotation speed (PeakMemory function)
Installation is the same as a general electric octopus, and it has a clock function and always needs power supply.
The number of revolutions is picked up from the ECU side Pulse.
Moreover, since it is a box-shaped Meter, it has thickness but it is easy to place it because it is a classification of Compact.
The operation method of Meter function is easy, but warning function and bar graph display need to be set respectively.
The bar graph display is OK as it is, but since the factory setting is 20000 rpm display, there is little movement. Well, while you're driving you will only see flyers.
Ignition method setting is 3 Pattern
- Crank 1 rotation 1 ignition (Factory setting)
- Crank 2 rotation 1 ignition
- Crank 1 rotation 2 ignition
Since there are different conditions even in places picking up vehicles and Pulse, I think that it is better to decide the display while actually watching the engine and watching the rotation number.
Although it is important visibility, it is easiest to see day and night with the digital display octopus owned most clearly..
There seems to be something hard to see depending on the angle, but for now it does not matter.
The owning digi tako was installed in the same place, but confirmation during the day was hard to see.

Waterproof Specification and watch included
I was considering an Analog type Tachometer, but with a watch and a Waterproof Specification, I made it this Digital tachometer.
Due to being accustomed to the needle of Analog, Digital felt a bit annoying as the displayed value changes lazily, but I was able to slow the change Speed ??of numbers.
Wiring was understood by looking at the Instruction Manual, but it may be uneasy if there is no Tester. Installation was occasionally done while watching Net while borrowing the wisdom of our predecessors.
Meter Bracket could also be installed on OEMShield without problems.
