Used to convert brembo Floating Disc to semiFloating
Used to rebuild a Large old brembo Casting IronRACINGdisc.
But to begin with, RACINGdiscs made by brembo are supposed to be non-disassembled and disposable, so you are entirely on your own when you replace the pins.
Since these are life-threatening and extremely important parts, we cannot afford to be lax in our work.
If you are not at all confident, you should not work on it yourself.
No kidding, if you fail, you usually die.
Replacement begins by disassembling the pins that are fixed in place with resin to prevent disassembly.
It is not to be reused, but be careful…… not to get Wound in the Disc or Inner.
The RACINGdisc of brembo is Full floating so that it works Pushingja Pushingja.
Hence, you can get excellent Touch when it is new, but at the cost of immediate rattling.
If rattling occurs, the original touch cannot be obtained (judder may occur in the hard brake), so it is a recommendation to replace this pin with a semi-floating one before this happens, preferably from the time the pin is new.
If you are a serious racer, you can use the disc as a consumable to be replaced in a very short time, but it won't last 3000km on public roads…….
I can't afford 80,000 yen for every 3,000 km, so I have to get ahead of myself!
In this case, we used it to recondition an old Casting Irondisc, and a used disc that had already been rattled and reduced after years of use on public roads.
The purpose is to semi-float the disc that has already exceeded its wear limit and should not be used, and to bring it into a state where it can be used at its limit.

We were able to semi-fix the DISC, which could have been damaged anytime by the Pin moving with a clatter, and make it ready for use.

Genuine JT Sprocket rear for Yamaha YZF-R1
Purchased along with the front sprocket as spare to replace my stock ones when needed. Have used JT sprockets for many years and know they are brilliant quality and do last a long time compared to some other brands. Decided to stick to the oem set up gearing as this is how the bike is supposed to operate. Maybe in the futue I will try a tooth lower in the front but for now, stay OEM gearing. Easy part to find, I was surprised Webikes stocked them really and quite a few different versions for different models and makes. Price was pretty good. Ordered along with other parts so the shipping was good too. Arrived with no faults or issues. The outer box had been sealed with extra tape to ensure, nothing could fall out or escape during transit. Any empty space was filled with air pockets and bubble wrap so nothing could move too much and damage other more delicate parts in the box. The machining of these sprockets is second to none. The spacing for the bolts is perfect. No problems with anything really. I have not found a sprocket that is of high a quality for teh simialr price range before. I will stick with JT Sprockets. For 520Conversion of XJR1300C
[How is it used?
I used it on my MainMotorcycle XJR1300C.
This is a Sprocket that Custom ShopJAM, which used to handle XJR as its main product, requested SUNSTAR to create for 520 for conversion.
SUNSTAR usually has a lineup. 18 guns is expensive since it's a very rare Size...
Rear Sprocket is ISA.
Part numbers are Y-23-40. Rear 40 guns are mounted against Front 18 guns.
I think the OEM was 17-42, so it is a super little bit LongSetting.
Was the one you received as per Image?
It was the very Sprocket of SUNSTAR.
The accuracy is unquestionable. There were no elements of texture that made me uneasy.
Was the installation difficult?
As shown in the image, there is a direction to install the Sprocket, so be careful not to make a mistake.
The size of the front sprocket nut is 36mm.
The tightening Torque is 85 Nm, and the use of Locktite is indicated.
When loosening or tightening, one person can easily work alone by straddling the vehicle body and stepping on the rear brake as hard as possible.
So it is important to always loosen the Rear wheel and Chain before removing them.
How was your experience with it?
Since it is one size larger than OEM, you can rest assured that it will not jump teeth even if you use high RPMs the last time you run it.
