I bought it because I SlipDown on my first run and scratched my RearAxle.
I was worried about the self-lock, but it seems that there is no problem without removing the washer (?). However, there seems to be no problem without removing the washer (?).
It is good because it can be removed immediately in case something is said at the vehicle inspection.
The quality of the product is excellent and the price is low, so I am considering installing it on my other Race cars.
However, the Glasses Wrench cannot be used to remove the Wheel.
I used to use Glasses, so there is some discomfort, but I think Level is fine. View detail

Installation on Other Brand Product (KOOD) Axle Shaft

Since the company's Protector was installed to protect the Axle on the Rear side, I purchased one for the Front side as well. However, as with the Rear side, the Axle Shaft was replaced with a KOOD one, so a little modification and ingenuity was required.

When installed on the OEMShaft, it can be easily installed by simply inserting it between the OEMShaft and the OEMShaft, providing the best appearance and cost performance.

The OEMShaft is a type that can be removed with a 19mm hex wrench, while the KOOD Shaft has a convex shape to allow direct application of a socket or glasses wrench. The inner diameter of the shaft hole was 16mm.

At first, we were thinking of shaving 7mm off the base of the Protector and reducing the diameter of the protrusion to 16mm, but when we roughly measured the Protector and drew a diagram, we found that the thickness of the mounting part was thinner than we expected and that shaving too much would cause a strength problem, so we decided to change the bolt on the Protector side from φ19 to φ16 and replace the M6 bolt of the connecting shaft from 295mm to 300mm. Therefore, the Protector side was processed from φ19 to φ16 for the projection part only, and the M6 bolt of the connecting shaft was changed from 295mm to 300mm.

It looks a little awkward because it sticks out about 7mm from the front, but considering that the head of the Axle Shaft could be shaved off in case of an accident, we decided that it would be safer than not having it at all.

If this is a concern in the future, if the Protector on the side without the projection on the other side is short and can be obtained from Repair Parts, etc., the Gap stop can be substituted with an aluminum sleeve with an external shape & phi;16 inner diameter M6, etc., to achieve a little more Quantity.:Pair (for Left and Right) I am wondering if it is possible to take the Balance of View detail

Installation on external Shaft (made by KOOD)

I think it depends on the type of car, but I have never had the Axle Protector touch the road surface when I have crashed my car, and I was skeptical about the necessity of this product, but I happened to see this product. However, I happened to see this product and decided to install it because it is an Axle Protector and also has a function that seems to solve the problem of slightly misaligned Axle Shaft insertion that annoys me every time when I remove the rear wheel for tire replacement or maintenance.

I ordered one that was compatible with the 2021 MT-09 model year, but since our vehicle has been replaced with a KOOD Shaft, there was a chance that it might not be able to be installed. But I couldn't do anything without checking the actual product, so I was anxious to take measurements after the product arrived at my place of business.
Of course, we have confirmed that OEM shafts can be installed without any problem, and since the thickness of KOOD shafts is larger than OEM shafts, it would be possible to install the shafts by shaving the Protector side. We hope this will be helpful for those who are replacing the shaft with other brand products.

The installation work began by measuring the inner diameter of the OEM shaft and the outer diameter of the product, and since the largest outer diameter of the press-fit part seems to be about 0.3mm larger than the shaft inner diameter, the size of the press-fit part was adjusted accordingly using water-resistance paper.

I wanted to be as even etc. as possible when applying Paper, so I wrapped Curing Tape around a cheap corded electric Drill that can be bought at Home center for a thousand yen or so, fixed Protector and applied Paper. If you don't need to use a cordless drill, I recommend it for a wide range of applications.

After adjusting the outer diameter of the Protector several times, the size of the Protector was adjusted so that it could be press-fitted into the hole, and the Funnel side could not be tapped evenly because the size of the Funnel and the Protector was too small, so it was pressed into the hole using a wooden pad.

However, it is not suitable for protecting the Hook of the Swing Arm, so if you are concerned about the Hook breaking when the Swing Arm falls over, it is better to use the Durable Receiver or remove the Hook every time after maintenance.
