I installed this on my 2019 GSXR1000R. 2017 has a NORMAL Heat Guard, but mine didn't, so I installed it at the same time I bought the Exhaust System. Fitted to protect a stock exhaust.
I took a risk & chose the Standard length intermodal model (120mm) to protect my stock exhaust. It seems to offer enough clearance in the event of a tip over.
