Slipper clutch
I wondered how much effect it would have on my 125 Motorcycle, but I was surprised to see a significant difference in the way the engine braking was applied around 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear. I was wondering how much of an effect it would have on engine braking in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears. View detail

OEM is so poor.
I was disappointed with the quality of the pressure plate in the Reinforced Clutch Kit, so I decided to use the SlippersKit.
I read a comment somewhere that the Spring suppression Cover cushion is too tight, but I was able to tighten it without anxiety because it is tightened with 6 pieces.
I can't confirm the Slippers feature because it's too cold to ride it.
I think it was a good buy.

Grom JC92, BackTorque, it escapes firmly!
I introduced the Slipper clutch to commemorate the passing of the High-compression Piston and the return to FlatPiston.

I have a Large Motorcycle with an STM Slipper clutch, but there are only a few scenes where the Slipper clutch works well. I was rather hoping to get one for my Grom.
Our Grom uses a Large capacity Internal Pressure Control Valve, so the emblem is not as big as it should be and the BackTorque is able to release a good amount of pressure, but when the engine is running at high RPM and then suddenly decelerates and downshifts to 2nd gear, the rear tires are pinging. When I run the engine at high RPM and suddenly decelerate and downshift to 2nd gear, the Rear tire starts pinging.

Installation is easy, no Special Tool is needed. About 2 hours of work.
The WhiteBlack instruction manual is as difficult to read and understand as ever in Mukawa, but I think it is Large sturdy even for beginners if they follow the steps.
What was particularly difficult to understand was the order in which the washers were inserted. It is impossible to understand unless you read the text carefully.
The Instruction Manual uses cross-sectional diagrams in the explanation, but this makes it even more difficult to understand.
Washer between Lifter and Bearing is two layers of unknown intent. Please note this.
In the conventional clutch assembly procedure described in the service manual, the clutch inner ring is assembled up to the Lifter and then secured with lock nuts, but this kit instructs the user to secure the half-finished clutch inner ring with lock nuts before installing the Lifter. This kit instructs you to fix the half-finished ClutchInner with Lock nut before installing the Lifter. The reason for this is that the center hole of the Lifter does not fit into the socket for fixing the Lock nut (as shown in the attached photo).
Therefore, when assembling Lifter, you will be working in a horizontal position.
Careful tightening of the screws is necessary to ensure that the spring is properly seated in the Lifter and that the clutch plates are properly aligned. Please be careful.
The Lifter is also not as sturdy as KITACO's reinforced Lifter, it is more of an OEM thin-walled and crackable construction. Mr. Mukawa, I think you should improve the construction procedure as well.
The Clutch Disc (made by Clipping Point) was still in good condition, so we used it as is.
I have a testRANed impression after installation,
First of all, Clutch braking is still the same as before!
At first, when the clutch was disconnected, or at the moment of connection, there was an uncomfortable feeling that the return of the clutch lever was stuck, but after running a few kilometers, it seemed to get used to it and the discomfort disappeared.
The effect of the Slipper clutch is that it allows the BackTorque to escape well.
It also worked when I applied the emblems at street level.
When I downshifted the engine at high RPM and applied strong embracing, it became easier to drive as if the BackTorque was applied in a mild manner.
The Tire never hopped pinged or locked up from start to finish, and we are glad we installed it.
I don't know about durability. I am a little worried about what will happen if I use it hard, especially on mountain passes and circuits.
But I don't think it will break if it is just city driving or Touring.

Gives a Premium Feel to the Gear Changing on the Monkey 125
About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the slipper clutch kit from SP Takegawa, the clutch center, pressure plate and lifter plate are cast from aluminium with the clutch cam being made from steel. About the feeling of use: The 6 bolt design clutch lifter plate allows for a even application of pressure to the clutch disks and plates and the combination of the special pressure plate and clutch cam gives a premium feel to the gear changing now. Great addition if you like to ride the Monkey hard and fast. Products to buy together: A clutch disks and plates upgrade kit would also be desirable to purchase along side the slipper clutch kit for better bite but not absolutely necessary if the OEM clutch disks and plates are in good condition. Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about half an hour if you already have access to the clutch, be sure to keep the plate level as you tighten down the bolts so not to apply too much pressure to one point of the clutch lifter plate .Not difficult to do. Cost performance and comparison with other products: High costing but you are getting a very special clutch kit for the Monkey 125 as compared to the cheaper Kitaco clutch upgrade that includes a lot of the same parts plus upgraded clutch disks and plates but it is not a slipper clutch design. About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght is my preferred method of shipping due to the lower cost and it is fantastic that it has returned as an option once again so I can put my money toward parts and not high shipping costs. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged. Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: If you are wanting to use heavier clutch springs then I would not advise installing the cast SP Takegawa lifter plate but to purchase a machined version elsewhere.
