Merit of de iron is not cosmetic.

Or it may be important that it is less expensive than Aluminum.
In a word, it's all about cosmetics.
However, the Merit of the Most Large of the Iron Sprocket is not cosmetic.
The Merit of iron is that it can maintain the good tooth shape when new for a long period of time!
When new, there is no difference in tooth shape between aluminum and steel, but after 3000 km, aluminum will begin to wear off.
However, if it is made of steel, it is not worn at all, and the slight difference in tooth shape at this time can be felt as the difference in smoothness of the drive.
If you use it for 5000 km, you should be able to feel it as a very clear difference.
This is because a slightly reduced tooth will cause the chain roller to move as if it is caught, even if there is no problem with the drive, and the feel will deteriorate.
It's not enough to say it's decreasing visually…, there's a pretty clear difference even if it's only a 0.1mm decrease.
Since steel products are unpopular, they are almost always ordered on a made-to-order basis, and delivery time is often several months.:In many cases, it is likely that Aluminum is being purchased.
However, for the purpose of maintaining proper tooth shape for a long time, you should wait and use steel.
Long delivery times are addressed by ordering earlier and earlier.
Material:Since it is heavier than aluminum, it should be disadvantageous in suspension operation due to the increased weight under Spring, but such negatives are not felt at all.
I think Merit outperforms it because of its longer tooth shape maintenance time, which means that the driving resistance does not increase as the distance is increased.
I don't know if the color of Afam's iron Sprocket varies depending on the order lot or if the specs have been changed, but the last time I ordered one, it was silver (Uniqlo plating?) with a textured surface finish, while the one I ordered this time was painted black,
Black paint has a smoother surface and is easier to clean, so hopefully it will stay Black paint Spec. forever.

After considering manufacturing quality and precision, as well as ease of availability
MY2010 F800GS is mainly used for touring and city driving. Although the mileage is not so high, the fee ring around the drive parts is not good and some drive noise is bothering me, so I replaced it.
We purchased this product after considering OEM Parts and each AfterMarketParts. I was concerned about the manufacturing quality and precision. Although it seems to be an imported product (even the manufacturing plant is unknown), it has the JapanFOR JAPAN MODEL inspection seal, and there are no particular concerns about its packaging, material, or processing.
The screw lock agent left in the hollow receptacle screw of the drive shaft (output shaft) was removed as much as possible during installation, and the splines around the outer circumference of the shaft were cleaned, greased up, and the purchased sprocket was installed.
There was no strange sticking feeling or strange rattling, and the excess grease came out in a beautiful flower shape (splined shape) evenly etc. from the gap between the shaft spline and the inner circumference of the Sprocket. This suggests that the machining accuracy of the Sprocket is not bad.
Check the front and back of the spring washer holding down the Sprocket and tighten the specified Torque through the Spacer. (50N・m) Tighten the right screw in the direction of the crank rotation. The usual method to prevent the Sprocket from rotating with the shaft is to apply a chain to the Sprocket before tightening it, or to prevent the Sprocket from rotating by applying driving friction with the chain or by applying a rear brake, but this will not work. However, this will cause the Sprocket to be pulled downward by the weight of the Chain and toward the rear wheel by the tension. I was able to fix the center of rotation of Shaft and Sprocket by gradually increasing the torque setting with the gear in 1st gear and without applying the chain. If you have a problem with the torque setting, this method seems to work fine.
The OEM parts for this year's model that were installed in new vehicles seemed to be made by ZF, but both the OEM parts that came with the vehicle and the products we purchased this time had a solid industrial feel, and I personally have a good impression of them.
Items that may be helpful in the replacement process are a torque wrench and a medium-strength screw lock agent.

Have tried a few different brands but ended up ordering this one the last couple times I need a front sprocket. Just hit 30 hours on the last one I purchased and it doesn't seem to be starting to "shark fin" at all or get overly worn out yet. Happy with the results again and again. Material of AFAM while NORMAL is 58T:Aluminum56T was attached but was replaced due to the limit of use.
Since most of the time we are driving around town or short touring within 100 km, the low GEAR of the tiger car was very hard to handle.
This time, I dropped it down to 47T, which is very comfortable for the aforementioned riding style, and I have no problem starting from the first gear (I was starting from the second gear before the change). (I was starting in 2nd gear before the change.)
Since it is made of steel, it is expected to have a long life.

Unsatisfied with the color
Other manufacturers did not have Steel as an option, and even if they did, the price was more than twice as high, so I ordered this one.

I wanted the iron-colored Silver, but what I received was Black.
Some lots may be Black." But it's fatal to leave the color to chance when you're choosing it for custom as well.

Driven Sprocket Replacement
In addition, the company has been working on a new project.
I searched for the same item and found that SUNSTAR has discontinued (?) the same part number. I found the same part number in SUNSTAR.
What SUNSTAR has is Quantity with Driven Sprocket:Set product with only the OEM Standard 17T-44 gun combination.
I looked for a replacement and finally found an AFAM 18 gun.
The reason for the change in the number of Sprocket's Ding, in the Number of teeth on the OEM.
(1) The response is peaky, making it difficult to handle in some situations.
(2) Tight HairpinCorner cannot be held back in 2nd gear, and the Torque is insufficient in 3rd gear.
By changing the number of pins, the Tight HairpinCorner can be used in either 2nd or 3rd gear, making it easier to handle.
Therefore, we chose AFAM to maintain that setting.
However, it takes about two months for delivery, which is unavoidable due to the order-made nature of the product.
I placed an order on 3/9 and received emails on 3/10, 3/14, and 3/15 informing me that the order was being arranged.
No progress report for about a month after that. (This is not good.)
4/17, The item is out of stock and the current estimated delivery time is three weeks." and then a confirmation whether to continue with the order or to callcell.
There was no alternative and we decided to continue ordering.
I received an email on 4/18 with a shipping notice (what the heck? This!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Arrived 4/19. (It took 40 days from order to arrival.)
4/27 installed at my favorite Motorcycle shop.
While replacing the Sprocket, we also decided to replace the Bearing and Dust Seal.
I thought about replacing it myself, but there was no SST and I gave up.
Impressions after the replacement are the same as before (laugh), easy to handle.

I was wondering what to do about Front sprocket for the same car model because the only compatible products were XAM or JTSprocket and I was worried about the delivery time.
I was wondering if the Sprocket for the car models listed in the XAM compatibility list would work. So I looked into it and found this product in stock and purchased it.
Was the one you received as per Image?
I was a little concerned about whether the product would really work because the product image looks like an image and is different from the actual product.
As a result, there was no problem.

Was the installation difficult?
It is easy to remove and replace the Sprocket Cover.

I have been wanting to use the ZRX1200R's rear wheel for a long time and finally did it. I got a used wheel and a used DAEG swing arm and replaced them with the existing ones. However, the Sprocket is different between ZRX1100 and ZRX1200R, so it was necessary to prepare a suitable one. This time, I got the AFAM one that was available at a reasonable price, with the same number of pins (45) as the ZRX1100OEM. The color was Gold, but I didn't like it, so I decided to change the color to Color.:I painted it Grayish Metallic. I think the teeth will be scraped off soon, but other than that, I think it will last for a while since it is not a place where anything will hit it. I think the paint looks pretty good. I think it is comparable to the X.A.M. product that I used on my ZRX1100. I replaced the Chain at the same time (EK 530SR-X2), and after the work was completed, I did a test run and found that it turned smoothly without any problems. AFAM is the sprocket for DUCATI in the early 2000s
I installed this product on my DUCATI MONSTER S4, and I can say that AFAM is the only sprocket for DUCATI in early 2000's. It is the same European product as DUCATI, and it is used for DUCATI as OEM parts. And, my favorite rider, Carl Fogarty won WSBK in 1995 with AFAM sprockets. This time, I bought 40T (STD: 37T), which is 3T up. Along with this product, the front sprocket and chain are being replaced at the same time. Since I have just replaced them, I cannot say anything about the performance, but due to the fact that I have replaced them with 40T, even in 3rd gear, I can wheelie just by operating the throttle. second-time buyer
The OEM FrontSprocket was only available in 15T and I wanted to replace it with a 14T, so I had to purchase it along with the Rear sprocket and Chain replacement.
Less than two years after the last installation, the car was due for inspection and I took it to the dealer. At that time, the Front Sprocket needed to be replaced, so I asked the dealer to replace it with an OEM Sprocket. (I later regretted that I should have purchased a FrontSprocket and brought it in.) I thought I would be fine with the 15T, but I decided I liked the ride of the 14T better, so I switched.
I considered Sprocket from another company, but decided to purchase it again because I had used it before, although it is a bit expensive.
Durability is Touring (with Winding) I use it and replace it after about 14,000 km.
