Reviews
It is also more durable and easier to ride.
This time, we are going to Restore the suspension of SR400.
I had installed an external Spring, but I don't need that much for SR400, so I installed an OEM Spring as well as Overhaul.
Motorcycle suspension is an image of Large body rear suspension...what is a front fork?
Front fork is important for motorcycles.
‥ Front fork is an important part for safe motorcycle operation. 。
Action
The front fork is the suspension of the front and is used to absorb shocks and improve steering performance.
It absorbs shock so that it does not shake when it picks up Gap on the road surface, suppresses the Front from going out of control (losing balance) during Corner ring, and also affects Breaking.
Reduced sinking behavior when front wheel Brake is applied.
→ Front area is responsible for the balance of the vehicle body. 。
In the case of large bodies, the front of the fork will fail due to the deterioration of the oil filled in the fork, called fork oil, but if the spring deteriorates and becomes worn out....
[Defects in Spring's Downs].
▲ Somewhat fluffy.
▲When I go over a step, the shaking doesn't stop.
When ▲Brake is applied, it suddenly sinks, and when Release is applied, it suddenly returns.
Front is out of control during ▲Corner.
▲Front goes out of control at high speed. 。
→In my case, I felt the shaking when I went over a bump and the jiggle of the Corner ring, so I considered replacing it.
Some people say that as long as the front oil is removed and renewed, it is not necessary to replace the springs, but springs are also consumables, so they cannot be completely replaced.
[Spring's lifespan].
Most vehicles with a mileage (depending on how they are driven) of over 40,000 km are beyond the limit of use. 。 If the front end is sunken (you can't tell unless you put the same car side by side), or if it bottoms out when fully braked, it may be time to replace it.
I've changed to an external spring, but it feels like it's worn out, and when I grip the front brake it sinks a lot, so I'm not sure if that's the limit of the replacement.
Incidentally, the front fork oil seemed to have a life span of 10,000 to 20,000 km.
After much research, it seems that OEMSpring and external Spring are unlikely to benefit from Spring itself, so we decided to use OEM.
The exchange method is
How to exchange ~SR400~
(1) Jack-up the lower Frame of Engine.
If it is with Center Stand, it is Center Stand.
↓
Remove front brake caliper, front tire, and front fender. 。
↓
Remove the top cover of the Handlebar and Fork.
↓
(4) Before removing the Fork, loosen the Top bolt using a high Nut instead of a Hexagonal.
↓
(5) Buy a 17mm high Nut and loosen it immediately.
↓
(6) Remove the Fork.
↓
(7) Inner and Outer removal.
↓
(8) Allen Bolt is loosened by Impact.
↓
(9) Inner is a long screw with a double nut to stop it from turning.
↓
? Oil is absorbed by Oil absorbent material and Spring, Color, and Washer are taken out.
↓
Remove the oil seal (11).
↓
Stroke the ?Tube with new oil and clean the inside. 。
↓
?Upside down for a while to drain Oil. 。
↓
Push the Inner Tube all the way in and fill it with a small amount of oil, stroke it, and let it stand for a few minutes to purge the air.
* Put in a new Spring at this time.
↓
In the case of ?SR400, the oil volume is 176ml, and the oil level is 199mm, so measure the oil volume appropriately, and then insert the oil.
↓
?Seal is hard to get into, so substitute PVC Pipe or something similar to get it in.
↓
Return in the order of ??→?.
〜After replacement
◎Calm sinking during Brake.
◎I could feel the bumps on the road surface absorbing the impact. 。
◎Corner ring is also stable 。
◎It is not as crisp as the outside of the company, but it is easier to ride.
I thought it would be better to ask the store if possible.

It is also the identity of SR.
Fork Boots are a distinctive feature of the SR400's appearance.
Material:Of course, the parts are rubber parts, so they will deteriorate over time...
It was torn and I replaced it with a new one.
What is Fork Boots anyway?
Front fork boots
It is a part to protect Inner Tube from dust, stepping stones, mud, etc. 。 They are made of natural rubber or silicon rubber and are bellows-shaped.
It has a strong visual component, but what is its role?
The role of Fork Boots.
Spring is attached to the outside of Suspension and used as a cover to prevent Garbage from entering Spring in the Inner Tube, which is used as Spring's Cover.
Originally, Fork Boots were used on Large Motorcycle models with the spring on the outside of the suspension (early Tele ScauperPick models) to prevent rocks and other objects from getting caught in the spring and making it dirty unless the spring was covered.
Later, when Spring was placed in the Inner Tube as it is today, it also began to serve as a Dust Seal. This is what→SR is for.
(2) Attachment for a Classic look and feel.
Since current motorcycles are equipped with a dust seal, it is not functionally necessary to add a dust seal, so it would be a press-up element. However, if there were no Dust Seal, the protection of the Dust Seal on the Fork would be lost, so there is no denying the danger of Garbage and other contaminants getting inside the Fork.
→ Functionally requiredParts and understanding.
There are many Fork Boots for SR on the market, from OEM to Other Brand Products, and although there are personal preferences in design, I chose OEM because of its durability and reliability, considering it as a consumable item.
Replacement procedure - in the case of SR
Remove the front wheel.
↓
Loosen the Bolt on the Top BridgeSIDE.
↓
(3) Remove the +Screw holding Boots at the end and set it to Free.
↓
Loosen two bolts in the "Under" section. Loosen two Bolts of the Under part. 。
↓
(5) Pull out.
↓
(6) Insert new FrontBoots and assemble in the order of (4), (3), (2), and (1).
If you ask a store to do it for you, they will charge you 10,000 yen (laughs), so I think it is better to do it yourself if you can.
[Effect]
It is not a part that can be felt, so it is not effective, but it can protect the Dust Seal of the Fork, so there is peace of mind in driving.
Fork Boots are still old-fashioned parts, and I can't deny the feeling that they are going against the times, but I think they protect the inside of the fork in addition to the dress-up effect, and I feel that they are one of the faces of SR motorcycles.
Fork Boots→Dust SealCover is also available, if you prefer.

Genuine Kawasaki Hose Clamp for KX250
This was a replacement for the existing hose clamp that had been beaten up over the years. Although you probably can get away with not being perfect but if you are like me, if a job needs doing, it needs doing well. Not specifically an expensive part so why not just change it. FInding the right part was not hard as I do use the help pages and links Webike provide on their help pages. I also cross referenced with Kawasaki schematics to make doubly sure. The part was good value for what it does. I do always have more than one part in my basket for ordering as this help spread the cost of shipping. I used EMS as I have done for a number of months now, and every time, my order arrives promptly and on time. 5 days from being shipped from Webike warehouse and my order arrived. The parts were all really well packaged and no damage to anything at all. The hose clamp also consists of the plastic ring and metal bracket which both looked great. Really well made and thought out. Fitting is really quick as it just bolts on. As there is already a split in the ring, you can feed the hose down in it with no issues. Very pleased with this purchase and the bike looks great. The OEMFork Guard was getting white due to deterioration, so I purchased it to replace it together with the next ForkOverhaul.

Genuine Yamaha O-Ring for forks on VMAX 1200 1992
This old beauty came in for a bit of fork maintenance. There was a bit of a noise and it was discovered that there were a few parts that just needed replacing. This o-ring was one of those parts along with some others. I checked the help section on Webike and cross referenced with Yamaha schematics to make sure they were correct. I added 4 of these o-rings to my basket as I might as well just change all at the same time to save hassle later on whenn the others fail. The preice of these o-rings was really good so buying a few is not an issue or will make any dent in your pocket. Shipped by EMS and arriving with me in 5 days is perfect. Thet all came in a nice Yamaha standard packet and was protected in a bubble wrap envelope Webike made to keep the small items safe. Not a whole lot I can say about these o-rings really, they are not cheaply made, there is no excess rubber hanging around the mould edges, very happy. Install took a while but that was with all the other parts. Really happy customer. Thanks Webike. View detail

There is a protrusion on the bottom where the mudguard rubber is attached, but it was missing in one place.
I won't return it because I drilled a hole for ETC (I used Screw instead).
This product was in Vinyl, which suggests that it is from the home country.
Well, that's how it is in a foreign country.
I will not be charging for returns or anything, but I am reporting this for your information.

Genuine Yamaha Ball Race 1 for Vino Classic 2004
This little scooter came into the shop with some major steering issues. Due to the age of the bike I decided to do a full fork strip down including the head, bearings, races etc. When I got really inside and saw exactly what the problem was. Basically all the races were shot, the bearing was pretty nasty and some of the fittings had been totalled beyond any reasonable repair. I decided the best course of action was to simply replace all the parts that were either not great or done for. Finding the correct parts for this job was not super hard as I just used the help pages and links Webike provide. Then I cross referenced with Yamaha schematic for the bike model to make sure. I had a few other parts in the order and got them all shipped together to save a little money and time so they all arrived at the same time. EMS is the courier I use these days as they just get your order to you pretty fast. 5 days fropm shipping and my order arrived in 100% perfect condition. All the parts came in the standar Yamaha packets and were really well packaged. The race has a good finish in silver and the race has been well moulded. I doubt these are cnc'd anyway. The fit is perfect, the bearings were well greased so this race went into place easily. Now to add the other parts to finish off this build. Great job Webike, very happy customer View detail

This was the second part of the major fork overhaul on the Vino Classic 2004 which was in desparate need of attention. This was for the Ball Race 2. As before, I used teh Webike help pages to track down exactly which part I needed and then cross referenced with Yamaha schematics for this model of bike. Pretty straight forward really, no hassle. The price Webike have these for is really good value and so why not just go OEM. I had a few other parts in the order and got them all shipped together to save a little money and time so they all arrived at the same time. EMS is the courier I use these days as they just get your order to you pretty fast. 5 days fropm shipping and my order arrived in 100% perfect condition. Genuine Yamaha Ball Race 3 for Vino Classic 2004
This was the third part of the massive total front for rebuild on the Vino Classic 2004 I had come into the shop for help. This time it was for the Ball Race 3. I found the correct part by using the tools Webike have on their help pages and then cross referencing with Yamaha schematics for my own peace of mind. Webikes price for these parts was excellent and better than I could source locally. I had a few other parts in the order and got them all shipped together to save a little money and time so they all arrived at the same time. EMS is the courier I use these days as they just get your order to you pretty fast. 5 days fropm shipping and my order arrived in 100% perfect condition. As with the other parts for this rebuild, the race came in the Yamaha packet and was well padded out inside the box for safety. This race has a lonmger neck but this means there could be more issues which is what happened on the original part. This part however is super clean, well made and the finish is superb. No issues at all, very happy with my purchase, thanks Webike. View detail

Genuine Yamaha Nut Fitting for Vino Classic 2004
This was the last part of the rebuild on the Vino Classic 2004 which had major issues in the fork department. This part is the nut fitting which is an essential part for doing such a job as it should be. Finding the correct part was super easy as I utilised the help pages Webike [provide and then cross referencing with the Yamaha schematics section for this model of bike and year. The overall price of the part I needed from Webike was really great, a lot less than I thought to be honest. I had a few other parts in the order and got them all shipped together to save a little money and time so they all arrived at the same time. EMS is the courier I use these days as they just get your order to you pretty fast. 5 days from shipping and my order arrived in 100% perfect condition. The nut fitting came in the regular Yamaha packet and was also inside a bubble wrap envelope. The fitting is an essential part of any rebuild as it keep everything where it should. This is really just a nut but the finish was well presented, there were no burrs or sharp parts. The threaded section is spot on and went on really nicely. The rebuild went according to plan and smoothly and finished the job in good time. The end result is a good bike with steering to match. Note that the price is different for Right and Left!
[How is it used?
Like for RightFork, it has been overhauled once after 5 years of operation. However, after more than 10 years of operation, the inner tube has rusted noticeably, so we decided to replace the inner tube.
Was the one you received as per Image?
Polished finished new and just like the Image!
Was the installation difficult?
The weight is heavy and Large strange, but recommendation to purchase STAND for maintenance etc. to prevent it from collapsing.
How was your experience with it?
The new one feels a whole lot better than the one at Overhaul.
You can still continue to ride in the field!
[Included Parts:were they on?
Finished product only, nothing else attached.
[Was there anything that disappointed you?
Somehow Quantity:Pair (for Left and Right) The Left costs more than 50,000 yen, which seems quite expensive.
Quantity:Pair (for Left and Right) Although simultaneous replacement is assumed, in the case of a Shop request, it is better to purchase a new product and perform DIY installation because the price will be almost the same or slightly higher than the original.
Like ▼RightFork, it has been on the market for more than 10 years, and considering that Repair Parts are limited, this is the last phase and should no longer be available in the future.

Ideal for Repair for Front fork1 type!
[How is it used?
I have done an overhaul once in the past 5 years since I started running, but the inner tube has become rusty and worn out over the past 10 years, so I decided to purchase a new one.
Was the one you received as per Image?
It comes as a finished product and is as Beautiful as the Image. Installation is also very easy.
Was the installation difficult?
If you have a STAND for maintenance, you can replace it with no problem.
It is a little Large odd because of the heavy weight.
How was your experience with it?
You can feel it during overhaul, but it is still totally different for a new one.
The ride will be as comfortable as a new car.
[Included Parts:were they on?
The finished product is in Vinyl and does not come with anything else.
[Was there anything that disappointed you?
They are expensive, costing nearly 50,000 yen each.
However, considering the time and effort required to prepare repair parts such as ShortParts, Fork oil, and seals, it may be better to order new parts from a shop, since the price will be about the same or slightly higher than the price of new parts.
Repair parts are limited, so now is the time to buy.

Genuine Yamaha Spring Washer Upper for FZ6R 2016
We were doing a full fork rebuild and additional maintenence on the FZ6R and some parts needed replacing. This was just one of the parts needed. The correct part was found via my local Yamaha dealer who did not have these in stock and would take a while for them to get them. This is why I decided to buy directly from Webike as they can get parts really fast. I had other items in my cart and all were shipped by EMS and arrived in perfect state in 5 days. The spring washer came in teh standar Yamaha packet and inside a padded envelope too so it did not get damaged. Genuine Yamaha O-Ring for FZR6R 2016
This O-Ring also needed replacing for the fork rebuild on teh FZR6R. The part was super easy to find witht the help of the tools available on Webike. The price was brilliant and even though it's only an o ring, would you really want to risk a pathetic aftermarket one which will bring your riding to a halt... no. So, this was also ordered along with a few other parts and the shipping was very good indeed. I used EMS fast service as they do exactly what they say they will, deliver FAST, the end. Arrived with me within a week of ordering all the parts needed. All packaged really well as expected and any space in the box was filled with bubble wrap and air pockets to protect any smaller and more delicate parts from damage. I now it is just an ring but this is an important one that you should be careful with. When I opened the packet, the o ring was perfect, no tears rips, loose pieces of rubber or anything. Yamaha really do know how to make o rings. It was a nice smooth surface and was flexible but not too much as this could also cause issues. Yes, I have made the mistake of buying cheap alternatives before to my detrement, just ended in disaster and had to get an OEM one anway, just do not waste your money on the cheap crap. Stick to getnuine for these things. Fitted easily and I hope the rest goes together with such ease. Very pleased with my purchase and from now on, I will ONLY buy genuine OEM for my baby. Great upgrade
Definitely needed this upgrade as I have doubled the gas tank capacity and am a larger guy, front doesnt dip as hard while breaking.i installed a set of these on my crf several years ago. Amazing upgrade. With the factory springs the front end would bottom out constantly. With these springs, the only time they bottom out is when I do something stupid while also having a full tank of fuel. I also added a fork brace, and upgraded the rear shock. The combination transformed the crf from a wallowing donkey into a desert two track eating monster. I've abused these springs for more than 200 hours with zero problems. Definitely a must have front suspension upgrade for a crf. A fork brace is also necessary. View detail
