Fit over and under Jersey; Strap could be tightened a bit more.
I replaced TLD's BG5955 because it had deteriorated.
I was considering using LEATT's Neck brace and with shoulder pad.
I was torn between LEATT 5.5 PRO HD and LEATT 5.5 PRO HD until just before.
I was allowed to try on the people who use it.
Not that the Fit feeling was particularly bad,
We decided that we did not need a shoulder pad and chose this inexpensive and Simple.
(LEATT should be able to accept repairs at the agency.
In the case of TLD, BG5955 was not available for any repairs or Repair Parts.
This area should be considered in conjunction with the price.)
Fit is very good. The shape is also Simple and can be used over or under Jersey.
It is less uncomfortable. As a drawback, Size should be right for this, though,
I think it would be better if the Strap was a little tighter as it is a little short in the chest area.
Strap itself is thick and Quantity:Pair (for Left and Right) Aside Quantity:Only 2pcs so easy to take off and put on.
The shoulder Strap is also thick and secure.
It also works well with LEATTNeck brace.
I don't know about the protective properties, as I have not received Damage directly.
There will be no problem in terms of protective surface area against stones rolled up by vehicles in front.
I'm still not certain about the following ...
I feel that the material used, d3o, has a peculiar smell.
Elbow protector from another manufacturer had the same smell. "Gen." I felt like I was in the middle of a
There is also a slight smell of Rubber-based Material, but I thought it might react in combination with sweat. I also wondered if it might react with perspiration.
Last summer it wasn't very frequent, but I take great care to dry it out during breaks and after use.

It's expensive, but I have no regrets.
I bought the Protector looking for a Protector that could protect me to the flanks.
Leatt's Neck brace can also be quickly attached, so purchasing it together is a recommendation.
However, the shoulder protectors are fixed with elastic bands, so they may shift during running, and it may be better to wear them inside the Wear.

[How is it used?
I compete in Enduro competitions and wear Protector as my primary inner. I used to wear a Leatt 5.5 but it is getting old so I decided to replace it.
Was the one you received as per Image?
As per Image
How was your experience with it?
The plastic is very thick and has good protection. The BALI is also very strong and does not seem to peel off easily.
A portion of the back can be easily removed, making it easy to attach the neck brace. The lower back can also be removed for ease of movement.
And above all, it is a protection for the flanks. Many of the recent Protector products do not have protection for the flanks, perhaps because of the emphasis on lightweight and ease of movement. This product is well protected on the flanks, so even if you bump it when you fall down, the Damage will be reduced to a Large width.
How did it compare to other products?
Although it is inferior in breathability and weight compared to high-end models from other manufacturers, it is a very good product at this price.
Other items that would be helpful
The adjustment range around the girth is not very wide, so thinner or fatter people may have trouble adjusting. Be thin or fat.

tough
I was told that it was thin and ideal for inner protector, but for women, it was too bulky and the flat chest was odd.
This would have been fine with OuterProtector as before.
It is good for men, but women should not. Too bad.

Equipment that can reliably protect the upper body
I chose this equipment because I had suffered a hard blow to my shoulder when I fell down and hit my chest in agony when I stumbled.
So far I have not fallen down using it, but compared to the 4.5 I used before, Shell's protection is indeed harder and thicker, especially in the chest and abdomen area.
4.While the Handlebar 5 was flexible enough to flex the abdomen and chest when leaning on the Handlebar, this one maintains the original shape of the entire structure and feels as if it is supported by the entire surface, without any localized pressure.
The Image is such that the Protector itself keeps its shape and protects the people inside.
The interior cushion material is also designed to be appropriate for the grade, and there is no concern that the surface fabric will peel off after repeated use and washing.
If there is a problem...
The price of enhanced defense is that upper body mobility is more restricted than in other grades.
To be an inner protector, it should be massive and wearable. (Not possible depending on your physique)
The lock of the Belt on the flank that connects the front and back is stiff. (Pushing is not a common type of buckle, but a solid gold clasp made of gold, which can be pushed in with a little force after being hooked.)
Although it is the highest grade in terms of series at the moment, other grades may be better depending on the environment and riding style, so we hope you can compare them and make a good choice.

Does not interfere with driving
I bought this product because I saw an imprement that this product is thin and has a good Fit feeling. The fit is actually good and I feel secure.
The chest area is not too thick, so I can wear the Leatt brace without any problem and I don't feel any pain in my neck.
We do not know yet about the impact resistance, as we have not had any Large-sized stepping stones or falls.
I think it would be cosmetically pleasing as well, since I think it would last forever if my stomach shape did not change.

Lightweight and stylish, but not compatible with Neck brace
Very lightweight and stylish, with good breathability and a great fit both inside and out.
Cost performance is also high for a product in this price range, equipped with a removable shoulder guard.
The Waist area also has a slight wrap-around structure, which provides some security.
However, note that it is not compatible with Neck brace for a recent Guard.
Also, I am 170cm 85kg and bought L/XL, but the size is a little too large, so I think S/M would have been better.

It was a little Tight.

The size feels a little tight on the shoulders and the elbow pad is rubbing on the top. The band around the shoulders can be removed.
I wonder if it will Fit if I put it on and loosen it up?

Moderate flexibility worked well for protection.
Blue bruise and no broken ribs in a courseOut on a Motocross where a tree stump and sharp stones were blown off and lodged.
It seems to have deformed and absorbed the shock well. However, there is no Protector on the side belt, and the diameter is about 5CM here.
I had a hit on the stump that caused an exaggerated blue bruise and I was in a hurry, but the area where Protect is located absorbs shock better than the hard type. I like it because I think this is the best type in terms of ease of movement.

This is a Type that can be worn inside Jersey.
I bought this because I haven't driven Off-road in a long time.
I was looking for a Type to wear inside Jersey and came across this product.
I am happy with my purchase as Alpinestars is one of my favorite Brands.
I wore it and did not feel any discomfort with the weight at all.
It is also CE Standard certified, so I think it is safe.

On/Off use?
Passed EN1621Level 1 for On use, not EN14021 for Off-Road, even though it can be worn as Inner.
I think it's good
I wore it under a L size Jersey, Hard protector, but it didn't feel uncomfortable even when I was running.

LEATT 5.5 PRO HD Worn by women
Worn by a 154cm woman.
The product is labeled as 160cm and up, but I felt no discomfort wearing it.
It may be bulky to store and a little heavy to hold in your hand. However, once you put it on, you won't feel the weight.
I had another Protector, but I heard that there was a rib fracture RISK in the event of a fall, so I replaced it with the PROHD, which also has solid flanks.
In the photo, the shoulder Protector is removed, but it is properly attached at the time of purchase.

Thinness and Fit that you can see when you put it on.
I didn't expect this much.
I bought it for off-road use, but it can also be used for road use and when riding SS.

Shoulder pads fall off
This is my second chest and shoulder protector. My first was a 2000's Thor motocross model. I had decided that it has kept me from snapping a collar bone several times. I convinced my wife that I probably should upgrade. I purchased the Leatt thinking that it was top quality and would give me great protection. However on my first ride the shoulder protectors came un clipped 3 times and slipped down my arm and has continued to have the same failure on every ride. I then attended a cross country race and noticed a fella wearing the same protector but both shoulder guards were removed. The first corner he got bumped and flipped off his bike. I rode his bike out for him because his collar bone had gotten broken. Note: I have not contacted Leatt about this problem yet. Any suggestions? View detail
It's a solid improvement.
I have a 4 year old child wearing it, and it still looks Large.
I use different ones depending on Situation.
Since it is FOX, I have no complaints about the quality and hollowing out.
The old ones were starting to deteriorate and shred near the shoulders.
It looks like they are improving there too with softer ones.
Adjustable with Belt at shoulders and waist.

For the first Protector.
I've had them fitted since they were 2.5 years old.
The size is Large for a 2 year old, but I couldn't find anything better.
It's a soft thing, the way it's rigged.
It is not particularly uncomfortable, and the movement can be done Smoothly.

Love the lightness and ease of movement.
[How is it used?
I purchased this product for off-road driving during hot weather.
It is worn in Off-roadJersey.
Was the one you received as per Image?
It was lightweight, easy to move around in, and cooler than the Protector I had been using, which covered my entire upper body, as per Image.
How was your experience with it?
I am the height of the L/XL I was worried that it would be Oversized when I put it on since I am a skinny person. However, I was worried that it would be Oversized when I put it on since I am skinny.:Pair (for Left and Right) I tried adjusting by Belt in two places, and it fit perfectly.
You may not fail to choose Size according to your height.
Easy to put on and take off with Velcro in two places.
[Points to note]
Breathability.
There is a wide Mesh area in the Protector area on the chest and back, and I believe this product is designed with breathability in mind. I have adjusted this product to fit snugly to my body and wear it inside Off-roadJersey, but unfortunately I do not feel any breeze from this Mesh. Next time I use it, I will try to make a little more room between it and my skin.
[On defensibility].
As the name "Chest Protector" implies, the protection effect is limited to the chest and back. When worn, the armpits open up to a large size. This is a product that prioritizes lightness and breathability, and is suitable for hot weather.
I have not yet had a fall that hit my chest or back, so I am not sure how protective the Protector part is.
I use a separate Protector for elbows in combination.
How did it compare to other products?
In the past, I prioritized protection and wore EVS long-sleeved protectors that would protect my entire upper body. However, in the recent heat wave, it became too hot and I realized that the Risk of heat stroke was increasing.
In comparison, the Protector I purchased covers less of my body, and I definitely feel that it allows my body to release more heat than before.
I think it will be cold in the middle of winter, so I will try my best to buy Body protector for winter as well.

During the hot summer months
[How is it used?
I had been using a full protector for safety, but in the summer, etc., it is easy to get heat stroke. I was looking for something safe, with good protection, and lightweight. I was also planning to purchase a neck brace, and since it was the same Leatt brace and seemed to go well with it, I bought it at the same time.
I haven't used it in the summer yet, but it is definitely lighter than the Chest Protector I have been using, and the Honeycomb-style Protector allows for better airflow, which is promising in the summer.
The Leatt brace Neck brace also works well with the Leatt brace Neck brace, and I realized that it is better to unify protectors under the same brand.
The price is a little high, but it is the best choice for safety, ventilation, and compatibility with Neck brace.
