【DAYTONA】Oil Stone Review
Purchased for chamfering
[Usage]
Used for Bore Up Kit BALI removal and exhaust surface chamfering, using DAYTONAOil stoneOil.
[Feeling of use]
Good size, fits in my hand, easy to use.
When I first started using it, it sucked in Oil immediately, so I had to put Oil on it thoroughly before using it.
(Points to note)
The Oil that is sucked in comes out gradually.
Recommendation is to put it in a Vinyl bag etc. when storing it. If you put it on paper or cloth, it will be stained by the oil that comes out.

[How is it used?
I purchased this for Gasket removal and chamfering of mating surfaces during Engine O/H on a TZr50R.
Oil is the same DAYTONA's exclusive oil.
How was your experience with it?
Scraper alone could not remove all of the gasket that had been stuck for many years, so I used oil stone to clean the gasket thoroughly. I soaked it in 4st Oil at first to soak it up because it absorbs Oil quickly at the beginning of use.
After that, special Oil is applied and polished at the time of use as shown in the video.
How did it compare to other products?
I don't know about otherManufacturers, but I was worried about purchasing the number 600.
However, since Gasket removal was going to be the main focus, I bought the 400.
There was no problem here.
[Points to note]
If you continue polishing, you will run out of Oil and the sound will change, so you will need to add Oil immediately.
Be careful not to damage the object when polishing with a piece of Oil.

The size is just right to fit in your hand, but be careful not to apply too much pressure or you will shave too much. Use #400 for finishing.

How was your experience with it?
This Size is surprisingly not sold at Home center.
It is useful for facing the mating surface of the Engine Case after the Gasket has been removed.
I used DAYTONA's Oil Stone special oil, but any kind of cutting oil seems to be good.

I use it a lot.
It is used quite often when disassembling the engine, using the Gasket Case, or removing covers. We recommend the purchase of polishing oil at the same time. (I went to Homsen to buy mine.) View detail
To finish the Clutch cover
It did the job well for the price, and the CHALYCHALY feel was pleasant to the touch. If I had to say something, I think it would be very nice if there was some kind of shape within the rectangle so that it could be used for both detailed and wide areas, like a convex or L-shape. The seal remnants around the cover were removed after the Scraper was used, but I was able to remove them. View detail
