【DAYTONA】Fuel Cook Review
Changed from negative pressure type to forced open/close type
[How is it used?
It was diverted to YamahaCHAPPY's Fuel Cock.
CHAPPY, as usual, uses the infamous Yamaha negative pressure cook.
Gasoline seeps out as soon as the packing is renewed, and even if it is turned on, it is not completely prevented, and it flows a little bit.
This time there was a fuel leak, and Packing does not have a part number, and those that do are very expensive, so we decided to use a forced-open/close type.
Was the one you received as per Image?
Photo
3-WAY Type with Reserve.
Was the installation difficult?
The Cook is located where it can be easily accessed from the outside, so replacement is easy.
This product has a screw cut out, but the body side also has a screw cut out, so if you are confident that you will never return to OEM, you can make the body side a penetrating hole.
Connect the Hose as described in the Instruction Manual, fasten the Clip, and you are done.
How was your experience with it?
It has only been installed for a short period of time, but it is working fine.
There is no lack of flow or oozing.
Cook can be opened and closed lightly.
[Included Parts:were they on?
This product only.
Hose and hose clipetc. should be prepared separately.
[Was there anything that disappointed you?
Not particularly
If I had to say so, I thought it would be easier to handle if the OUT side also had a Left exit.
【Review】
Cook OEM Parts (Packing) was higher than I expected and I was wondering what to do with it.
The same thing is available from various manufacturers, so frankly speaking, it does not have to be from DAYTONABrand.

Fuel Cock
This is an essential part in the SUPER CUB carburetor replacement. Leakage occurred after 5 years from the last cook we used. We were able to purchase a Cook with the same function and it was a great help. View detail

I am satisfied with this necessity when replacing carburetor in CUB. View detail
Required if you change carburetor in CUB
Used when the CUB was converted to an OEMPB13→PC18.
When you change the carburetor, you have to change the Fuel Cock too.
good side
The shape is easy to operate, so it is easy to switch between ON, OFF, and PRE.
It's easy to install with L-shaped brackets sold at home centers.
Easy to disassemble, easy to overhaul, and easy to repair.
The oil filter is inside so it can remove some of the impurities in the gasoline.
A bad point
It's not easy to find Fuel Hose, Brackets, etc. on your own. It's fun for me.
It's not easy to install, but it's a must have part for carburetor replacement.

Difficult to use for the ELIMINATOR 250
"The OEMCook on the ELIMINATOR 250 got clogged, so I replaced it.
It's a non-negative, natural Fall Type Cook, and since the Hose bore was the same as the OEM, the Gasoline flow rate is probably the same as well.
There are not many Main, Reserve and Out three-port types, so these Third Party products are useful.
Because it was not possible to install normally, I put Bracket of Emon on it, but there was no rattling or shaking and I could use it without any problem.
Cook's placement is generic, ↑Reserve, ←Off, ↓On.
But there is one problem. Because the mouth of Out is on the Right Side, it interferes with the Frame in the case of the Eliminator. I think that gasoline flow rate is reduced because of this.
If you have a car model with Space on the Right Side of Cook, you should have no problem. "
