【ACRYPOINT】Street Type Screen Review
Perfect hole position
[How is it used?
We used this Screen in combination with MC21's Saiya Cowl.
We were worried about OEM used products and TIGERPerformance's Screen, but we chose this product because of its shape and transparency.
Was the one you received as per Image?
It arrives with a protective film attached to prevent small scratches until installation is complete.
It is also quite transparent.
Was the installation difficult?
Installation is easy
The hole positions were perfectly aligned with those of the Saiya Cowl, so there was no need to modify them.
I also used a Nylon rivet from KITACOConvenienceParts because it had an M4 hole and I did not have an OEMRivet. (https://www.webike.net/sd/1343087/)
How was your experience with it?
The shape is a matter of personal preference, but I personally think it is a good length.
The transparency of the ScreenBody makes it look good.
[Included Parts:were they on?
This is the only product, so an M4 Rivet is required if needed.
[Was there anything that disappointed you?
Not at all!
【Review】
I was concerned about the accuracy of the mounting holes since it is an external Screen, but there were no problems at all.
The transparency is quite satisfactory.

Good thickness to withstand STREET use!
I bought a battered 900SS (900SL) and am Restore.
Although battered, the visible exterior is relatively clean, with no cracks, cracks, or discoloration on the screen.
The body is 30 years old and has some minor Abrasion that may have been acquired during the process of use, but no problems that would require replacement.
I was going to use it as is, but ...
When I applied it to the car body under restoration, I found that it was distorted quite drastically.
I thought that the Screen of the Initial Model without Oil Temperature Meter was installed on the body of the Second Type Model with Oil Temperature Meter on the Meter, so the Oil Temperature Meter might have pushed the Screen and deformed it (in fact, the Oil Temperature Meter part was scraped off in contact with the Screen). I thought that the Oil Temperature Meter part might have been deformed by the Oil Temperature Meter (the Oil Temperature Meter part was actually scraped by contact with the Screen), or that the Mirror Bracket was bent and the Cowl was deformed when the vehicle tipped over, and the Screen was distorted by the bent Mirror Bracket. However, it seems that the Screen was distorted by the weight of some luggage that was placed on the Screen during long-term storage.
So, I replaced only Screen to try it out.
Fortunately, the reading was per Large and the distortion disappeared with Screen replacement.
In replacing the oil temperature meter, we should have purchased one for the Second Type Model, which has an Oil Temperature Meter, but this time, we dared to purchase one for the Initial Model, which does not have an Oil Temperature Meter.
The reason is that the Initial Model does not have a raised Screen and has a more beautiful connection with the front curve of the Cowl.
The design of any car model must be an Initial Model that the Designer thought was the coolest!
I think that the beauty of the model when viewed from the side is spoiled by the Second Type ModelDesign with a raised Screen because the Oil Temperature Meter is retrofitted to sell the product and the Screen makes contact with the product as it is.
However, the Oil Temperature Meter in question is violently contacted as it is.
I'm shaving the Meter side of the contact area, but I guess people usually don't like to shave ...
The Second Type Model's raised Shield is also more windproof (the Screen for the Initial Model is much lower), so it is also suitable for normal use.
Since the mounting dimensions are interchangeable, it is recommended to use the Second Type Model with or without the Oil Temperature Meter for touring applications.
However, it is only the Initial Model that is completed in terms of design!
ScreenMaterial performance is unquestionable!
I would have preferred a thinner, more transparent and distortion-free ScreenCraft product, but unfortunately Webike does not carry it.
I gave up on the ScreenCraft product, which is characterized by BALI nko cracking in one shot when it falls over, and went with the more sturdy ACRYPOINT product, but there are no problems at all with transparency or distortion.
It is obviously thick and sturdy, so I don't feel that it will always crack if it falls over like ScreenCraft.
The hole positions did not match, but this must be a problem on the DUCATI side.
Even if it does not fit, it is only about half of the Screw diameter, so a little shaving with a round file will do the trick.
In particular, the 900SS is a spec. that is fixed with a well nut, so it does not matter if the gap is a little low or high.

It looks good
The OEM Product has almost no wind protection effect, so it was tight when touring, but thanks to the 6cm higher height, the wind exposure seemed to be reduced. However, the clasp is a little too small and does not stop properly. View detail
exchange of new products
I thought about renewing the screen, and considered the inexpensive Thailand moth screen, but I was concerned about its accuracy, so after much deliberation, I decided to go with ACRYPOINT's ClearScreen. I was worried about the accuracy, so I decided to go with ACRYPOINT's ClearScreen. I was relieved to find that the product was almost OEM and solid. I am looking forward to installing it! View detail
I'm not sure.
I was not sure about ZeroGRA, but I chose this one because the delivery time was 3 months.
The texture is good and I am satisfied.

Maybe not, but it's a possibility.
It's only a possibility.
Headlight will melt
I can't think of any other possibilities, so it's just a possibility.
I contacted Manufacturer.
Thank you for your purchase.
Thank you for your inquiry.
We believe it is highly unlikely that our LightShield will melt or go bad.
And no such incidents have occurred to date.
It may be different because I received a reply that
Headlight is about 15,000 yen for 2 parts.
Also, it can be installed without modification.
Widening the holes in the mounting section allows for installation similar to OEM.
The braid on the edge is always stretched at both ends and doesn't stick properly, so I think the only way to attach it is with double-sided tape.
