【SP Takegawa】Power Filter Review
An Intake Upgrade that Increases the Performance but Not the Noise on the Monkey 125
About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the power filter from SP Takegawa. The filter housings is made from very durable plastic while one air filter element is made from a course sponge for race use and the other from a fine sponge for street use. About the feeling of use: Very happy to have an increase in performance while being able to maintain the same level of intake noise as the OEM Honda setup. Products to buy together: A full exhaust system would also be desirable to purchase alongside the power filter to maximise the performance from the Monkey 125. Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about 20 minutes, remove and set aside the airbox covers and screws from the lid. After fitting the power filter reuse the OEM Honda screws and refit the airbox covers. Not difficult to do. Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting a durable and high quality part with easy to clean air filter elements as compared to the more expensive pleated mesh style from the likes of K&N that require a special cleaning and oiling kit. About shipping and packaging: Sea freight was my preferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently this service is unavailable from Japan Post, EMS is much faster which is nice. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged. Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: If you are looking to use this air filter with the OEM Honda throttle body it is plug and play but if you want to pair it with a big throttle body this is not possible unless you make a larger throttle pipe.

Good item
The filter area is much larger than the existing pure filter, so the amount of air inhaled is likely to be greater. That's why I feel like my bike has become more powerful after installing this item. View detail
thanks!!
It has a large area compared to the existing pure air filter, so it will be more effective for inhalation! Between dense and relatively wide, I maintained the existing version because I was equipped with a slip-on muffler I'll use it well View detail
I feel like I have a lighter blow off.
Replaced with moto DXPlug and coarse filter. Installed Takekawa's Normal lookSports Exhaust. I felt the exhaust sound and the power was not changed.:Pair (for Left and Right) box did not fit well and broke the nail of the box. The Normal filter was not particularly dirty at 6,000 km mileage, so I didn't have to replace it. View detail
power filter~!!
It's a product of faith's Takegawa. I bought it because other people recommended it. Replacing filters is simple. Remove the cleaner cover with a screwdriver and insert it as it is. There are two types of filters, and the particles are big and small. After changing the filter, the muffler sounds louder and the driving feeling changes. You'll have to ride it a little more, but it definitely has an effectively. I recommend it. Thank you. View detail
Air Filter
When I bought it, I thought there would not be much change, but after installing it, I drove it on a mountain road in touring and it accelerates smoothly at low to medium speeds.
I guess I couldn't tell much at high RPM.
