Cylinder Head and Base Gasket Set for your SP Takegawa Big Bore Equipped Grom

About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of gasket set from SP Takegawa, the base gasket is a paper material while the head gasket is metal. About the feeling of use: When it comes time to reassembling the engine after some major works a new set of gaskets is neccessary for the cylinder to ensure the performance is not effected by any leaks and these have done the job with with no issues. Products to buy together: Since the piston was removed for the major works then some piston pin c-clips would also be desirable to purchase along side this gasket set. Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about an hour, you want to put the engine at TDC followed by removing the head and cylinder which will allow you to replace both gaskets. Clean the mating surfaces before installing the gaskets, reassemble and torque the head bolts in a criss cross pattern. A little difficult to do. Cost performance and comparison with other products: A High costing for gaskets but not ones that are changed regularly so the price can be considered reasonable and very similar to what you would pay for the same gaskets from Honda for the OEM bore size. About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my perferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently unavailable due to Japan Post. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged. Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: This gasket seat is specific for the 181cc cylinder, a different gasket set is available for the 143cc cylinder. View detail
