【MORIWAKI】Skid Pad Engine Slider Review
Fits: HONDA CB400SF, HONDA CB400SF, HONDA CB400SF
Thank you for your help.
I have had it on since I took delivery of my Motorcycle 6 years ago and it was a great help when I took delivery of my car. Thanks to this SkidPad, my engine was not scratched even though I was often standing on the road when I first got the bike. It is not as strong as the Engine Guard on the learner's car, but I think it helps a little against standing bumps, etc. I am thinking of adding an Engine Guard just in case, so the time may come for me to part with it soon. I have not had any problems with standing up in the sun recently, so I don't have to use it, but I think that's the best thing. Unlike cheap Chinese products, it doesn't look cheap and I like it because it looks OEM. I think it was probably OEMOption at the time.

Effective for standstill
I had to stand and walk away once.
They protected it well.

The Silhouette of Motorcycle is not destroyed but has a certain presence.
■About Installation
Structurally, the Level is not difficult and can be easily performed with tools.
However, since the bolts are on the engine mount side, proper tightening with a torque wrench is essential.
Then I think it would be a good idea to ask at Shop for general work Level.
Reference:Tightening Torque:44.1Nm (4.5kgf-m) *In case of ZEPHYR400X
(I don't have a Torque wrench so I asked for one at the Shop.)
About the effect
I have never fallen down wearing this, so I don't know how effective it is.
The original purpose was to”reduce”trauma Damage to the Engine block in the event of a fall,
Quickly move the vehicle off the road (originally on the Circuit's Course) and out of the travel line,
It is designed to prevent rear-end vehicles from becoming entangled.
About the appearance
The parts themselves are surprisingly large, and have a presence that can be clearly recognized when the driver straddles the vehicle.
However, when viewed as a whole, the vehicle as a whole, the Parenthesis is better with Race ish without destroying the Motorcycle's Silhouette.

To insure against standing over.
The installation was easy, but I did one bolt on each side and one bolt pc at a time, but the bolt still did not fit properly, so I had to raise the engine a little by using a spinner handlebar or something like that, using the lever principle.
A bit expensive, but for insurance.

Installed on Circuit Running
I installed it on a 2011 CBR1000RR.
We wanted to install the minimum amount of sliders necessary for circuit driving, so we installed these. The installation is done by tightening the bolt to the engine hanger bolt on both sides. When installing the slider, it is necessary to drill a hole with a hole saw or similar tool for the OEMSide cowl. The hole position was drilled according to the positioning paper included in the package, and then the hole was drilled by matching it with the actual bolt. Since I have not yet crashed, I do not know how well it will perform, but I think it will be very effective for slip downs and the like. On the other hand, I would not use it on public roads because the Damage may go to the Frame side if the Slider gets caught on a curb or something when it falls over. It takes a bit of time and effort to install, so if you are not confident about it, you should ask a motorcycle shop to do it for you.
