Genuine JT Sprockets 14t Front Sprocket for Suzuki SV 650 ABS 2008
This bike came in for a service and a new chain and sprockets fitting. This was purchased along with the rear sprocket just for the job. Have used JT sprockets for many years and know they are brilliant quality and do last a long time compared to some other brands. Easy part to find, I was surprised Webikes stocked them really and quite a few different versions for different models and makes. Price was pretty good. Ordered along with other parts so the shipping was good too. Arrived with no faults or issues. The outer box had been sealed with extra tape to ensure, nothing could fall out or escape during transit. Any empty space was filled with air pockets and bubble wrap so nothing could move too much and damage other more delicate parts in the box. The machining of these sprockets is second to none. The spacing for the bolts is perfect. No problems with anything really. I have not found a sprocket that is of high a quality for the similar price range before. I will stick with JT Sprockets. This bike came in for a service and a new chain and sprockets fitting. The front was also purchased at the same time so I know I would have all the parts together when needed at hand. I usually already have the chains in stock in various sizes so this did not need ordering. As I ordered a few parts together, the shipping was also a little cheaper which is nice. The order arrived in 5 days from being shipped for the warehouse and all the parts were well packaged. As these are aheavy items, they were kept separate from the lighter ones so no damage was sustained. The sprocket itself is very well made and having used JT Sprockets many times before, I know they do last a long time if you get the steel ones. The aluminium ones do last but not closew to as long as the steel ones. Fitting was straight forward as with all chain and sprocket swaps. Very happy with this purchase. Good quality rear sprocket from KITACO
This is a good quality rear sprocket from KITACO, it's made of steel so it's much more durable than the aluminium ones if a bit more heavy but on the plus side it is a lot less expensive also. Just Right Rate
The rate of the center spring that comes with the KOSODrive kit is too high, and while it is quickly good for acceleration in town driving, the rate of the center spring is too low.
I wanted to reduce the rate because the normal RPM is too high and the Damage to the Belt is too large and the fuel consumption is too low.
Before the replacement, Belt had about 5,000 km when using the KN project, and other than that (including OEM) However, after the replacement, the Belt has been able to run for 10,000 km without running out. (It looks like it can go 20,000 km in terms of wear and tear)
When accelerating at full throttle KICKDown, the Large body shifted at about 8000 rpm before the replacement, but after the replacement, the Large body shifted at about 7000 rpm.
However, the Sensep is not too soft and the shifting is not too rough, and the acceleration is now very natural and smooth. (Although there is also the effect of SliderBearing combined with Center spring)
If you want to drive a Scooter as a normal foot pedal without any discomfort, this level of Rate is better.

Genuine DID 520 Replacement Chain Link
I always like to have some of these in stock in case opf any issue during fitting different chains. The DID 520ERT3 is one I do have in stock but have no spares. I found this chain link by just searching through the DID inventory on Webike website. It was really easy to find so you should be just fine. I ordered a few other different chain links along with this as I do like options with spare links. All were shipped together and this saved some shipping cost. My order arrived in 5 days from being shipped. The chain link came in a nice sealed packet with all that is needed to refit. You do get a not seem to get the white grease packet in this size chain but that's ok, I have a lot of these anyway. The chain link is very well made, it also is in the gold colour so nice looking too and it is also embossed with the DID logo so you know it's genuine. Was the installation difficult?
The shop is in charge of the front replacement, so the process is basically to loosen the axle of the rear wheel, lower the tension of the chain, and then remove and install the front sprocket. The front sprocket nut has a high torque of 140Nm and the OEM is very tight, so it may be difficult to remove the front sprocket without a proper tool.
How was your experience with it?
The OEM YZF-R1/M has a secondary reduction ratio of F16/R41, but even in Circuit, it rarely goes into 6th gear, and most people change it Large. Most people change the ratio to a large one. Unless you want to adapt it to a specific Circuit, it can run in any Circuit to some extent.:As for the Set, I think Front1Down is the best solution, running with the OEM GEAR ratio, In second gear, it's hard to ride at high rpm, and in third gear it's a little heavy." You can drive comfortably in 3rd gear on the Point where you feel like you are in the middle of the road.
