Reviews
For the do-it-yourself maintenance group, this is a good one to have.
Restore of immovable ESTRELLA.
Final touches, Tappet adjustments.
Oil leak is gone but Engine noise is annoying.
However, I need to prepare Thickness Gauge for Tappet adjustment, so I bought this one.
[What happens if I don't make the Tappet adjustment?
Of course, if the tappet noise is too loud, it will bother you, but if you leave it as it is, the wider the gap, the stronger the impact of the blow, and the tappet clearance will widen more and more, which will cause the starting performance to deteriorate and the motorcycle to gradually go out of tune, so adjustments are necessary. 。
What is a mismatch in Tappet clearance?
When the Valve clearance (Tappet) gap becomes Large, a hammering sound begins to be heard. 。 Sound is emitted when Engine is cold, but disappears when warmed up. 。 In such a case, the gap is large, but as it warms up, the gold expands and the gap becomes small, and the sound disappears.
Symptoms
When I stopped at a traffic light, the car stalled while holding the clutch and dropping the GEAR.
In accordance with the Fat Engine Rotation "Tinkle, tinkle, tinkle." and strange noise.
Procedure 〜For ~ESTRELLA
(1) Unload the Tank from the vehicle body.
↓
(2) Cook must be Off 。 By turning it Off, you can lower the hose without wasting Gasoline dripping out (some Gasoline in the hose will come out immediately after the hose is removed).
↓
(3) ESTRELLA can be adjusted to the upper dead center by removing the Cover and turning this Screw. 。 Top dead center is simply the state where the Piston is at the top.
When adjusting the tappet, the position of the piston must be adjusted to the upper dead center. 。
↓
(4) Remove the Plug so that no compression is applied.
I have to move it with no Engine on it.
↓
5) Front Tappet Cover. 。 It can be adjusted by removing here.
↓
(6) Loosen the lock nut attached to the head first, and when the center screw can be turned, it is OK. 。
At this point, it is normal to move the Tappet by hand and hear a chica-chica sound. 。 If it does not sound kachica-chi, either the upper dead center is not correct or the adjustment is gapped considerably.
↓
(7) Insert the Thickness Gauge into the gap and align it. 。 Strictly speaking, this is the process of adjusting the gap between the Valve and the Arm that is pushing the Valve to the proper value.
↓
Clearance on the exhaust side is 0.17 to 0.22mm 。 If the Gauge is pinched by inserting 0.20mm of Thickness Gauge and closing the Screw at the Center, the Gauge will be pinched, and if the Gauge is moved in that state and it feels a little stuck, it is OK. 。
↓
Clearance on the intake side is 0.10 to 0.15mm 。 The intake side may be a little more difficult to do because it is more intricate in location.
↓
(10) To be sure, make one more rotation of the screw with the upper dead center aligned, and then align it again.
[After adjustment
When I drove it, it no longer stalled and blew up better!
I think a single cylinder can be done by an amateur.

A gem and a masterpiece
Replaced a set of 4 KOWA T-Type Wrench up to 8,10,12,14 after several years.
Although I have been working with KTC and Kohken, I can say again that KOWA is the best fit for TWrench.
According to Large's senior maintenance staff, in the past, whenever the Japan GP was held at Suzuka, overseas mechanics used to come to Large's tool shop to buy only KOWA's TWrench, which makes sense.
There are a few important areas in TWrench, but the welds are weld treated or there is no spatter on the weld bead at all as shown in the photo.
This smoothness leads to a sense of security while working, because it is the soft area between fingers that touches here.
The surface treatment is pear-shaped, and when wiped with wet tissue, the finish is such that the fibers are uprooted.
Everyone may have their own preference for the center of gravity balance, but in my opinion, this position is one answer to the question.
Although there are now products that exceed the thinness of the Socket, they seem to have settled on a balance of sufficient strength and thinness without pursuing excessive thinness that is not necessary.
In fact, I have never encountered a situation where I would want to use TWrench that would not be Accessible with this thinness.
The slimness that fits comfortably in your hand, the length of the handle, the length of the arm, the thinness of the Socket, and the center of gravity are all excellent, and I will probably keep buying the same one even if this one breaks in the future.

As expected, OEM Product
I purchased this to remove the Rotor on my GB250Engine. Since it is an OEM product, I was able to remove the Rotor without any problems.
It would be great if we could get it for a little less.

This is a good product that is inexpensive and easy to find.
[How is it used?
To the Deer Baron. "The old Motorcycles are getting pretty crazy with Valve Clearance. I was ad-vise and bought it in a hurry.
It used to be a regular item at the nearby Home center car parts corner...
Was the one you received as per Image?
Simple & Compact, as per Image.
How was your experience with it?
It's nothing to write about, it's just a normal chic Snes Gauge, because the purpose of using this tool is clear. "It's so easy to use." And "It's so hard to use. I don't think you can make a product that says
[Points to note]
If you handle it roughly, the Plate will be bent and it will be difficult to use the same Plate next time.
Well, if it gets bent and hard to use, you can just buy a new one...
How did it compare to other products?
Since the purpose of use is clear and limited, there is little difference from other companies' products.

[ITEMS TO BUY TOGETHER
I think that the person who needs this tool is already able to do some maintenance, and I don't think that it is necessary to buy it.
[Opinions and requests to Manufacturer
I hope you will continue to sell it at an affordable price.

Great Kowa Seiki Wrench set with some flash!
I already owned the Kowa Streamline style wrench set but it does not include a 19mm like this set comes with. These also feature a highly polished chrome finish and they fit fastners outstanding. This would also make a nice kit to carry on your motorcycle as well if you have the room on your bike. I also thought they are a great value for the price paid and I would purchase them again. Nice wrench set with every size you will need.
I'm not sure how long this set from Kowa has been offered but I jumped on it when I came across it on Webike. They have a highly polished chrome finish and fit fastners extremely well. The included holder works nicely and hold the wrenches perfecly in my toolbox. View detail
Add some swag to your toolbox
It just a emblem but a great way to show some Kowa pride and add some swag to your toolbox. It's sized nicely and includes the sticky tape on the back to hold it firmy to whatever you want to stick it on. View detail
Great wrench set
This is a great wrench set that includes all the sizes you will need to work on your Japanese motorcycle. I wish it also would have included a 19mm but maybe it can also be purchased individually? Kowa is one of my favorite Japanese tool manufacture and I will always look to see if they make a particular tool I'm looking for before considering others. These wrenches feel great in your hand and fit fasteners very precisely. It would be a great little set to carry with you on your bike since most new motorcycles no longer include tool kits. I'm also very happy with webikes service and glad they will ship to the USA at reasonable shipping cost and they always package the products very well. View detail
Fantastic 45-Degree offset wrench set.
This is a great wrench set that includes all the sizes you will run across on you Japanese motorcycle. As always Kowa fitment to the fastener is spot on and there is not slop at all. This set is small enough that it could probably be carried on the motorcycle itself since most new bikes don't include a a toolkit any longer. My 10-12mm combo has Honda engraved instead of Kowa but I can live with that. View detail
Piston clip installer
I do about 50 overhauls a year and the piston clip installer is the tool I can't live without.
Also, although it says "installer", it can be removed quickly, which is very helpful.
By the way, it seems to correspond to Clip (C shape) of OEM Type. I'm not sure if it can be used for G Type which is sometimes seen in Chinese products. It would be better if you have a Piston Pin removal tool as well.
