NINJA riders must replace it!
It is like a different Motorcycle! If you want to improve the engine performance, I recommend you to install the Full powerKit from Uotani! OEM carburetor is enough. Main jet may need to be thickened a little. View detail
It is longer than the one that comes with the Kit.
I used it for my FZ750 Full kit.
I ordered this one because the cord that came with the Kit was very Tight and I had concerns.
The shape of the Connector was exactly the same as the Kit. And the length of the cord is about 20 cm, so there is plenty of room.
If possible, we would have liked the attached cord to be this length.

For your peace of mind in the future
The Coil was replaced with a new OEM Product about 20 years after delivery, but the Igniter has remained the same since delivery 30 years ago.
We have never had any particular problems, but in the unlikely event of a breakdown on the road, it would be a one-large problem, so we decided to introduce strong sparks from Uotani because we thought we should take measures when there is nothing to worry about.
Cranking sound when pressing Starter is totally different. Very strong sound!
Idling is also stable at low levels.

Ignition coilOEM Parts for 3XV was discontinued.
The condition of the OEM Ignition coil was terrible, especially the terminals and plug cord were hardened by rust, the plug cap was rattling, there were signs of electrical corrosion inside, the contact was poor, and the engine was far from being in good shape compared to back then. I was about to order a new Ignition coil assembly and Plug cap from OEM with Plug Code, but the Ignition coil assembly was finally discontinued.... (with 1P Code) 2Quantity at WEBIKE including other spare parts:In the test stage, the plug was BR9ECM, the engine was started, and the Idling RPM did not change. (It dropped about a little less than 500 rpm, but I adjusted it.) Idling was still unstable, but now it is stable! After warming up the car carefully, I ran a test run and it was clear that the car was easier to start! (Whether or not it can be said that the Torque has increased is another matter.) The car is now back to the good condition it was in when it was a new car, and the mid-range hang-up that had been bothering me for some time has been resolved, and the engine runs well all the way to the Red zone at once. It seems that the cause of the problem was not only the Ignition coil, but also the plug cord and plug cap. Strictly speaking, I am worried about the carburetor setting, so I raised the main jet by 10 and changed the plug to BR10ECM just to be sure, but the car is still running great! View detail
A must for Uotani Coil
This Connector is required to plug the Plug cord into the Uotani Coil.
Installation is no problem if the instruction manual is followed, but it was difficult to insert the 8mm thick plug cord.
We recommend using a standard 7mm thick plug cord.

I have not needed it yet, but the OEM parts are no longer available and I purchased it to prepare for the coming days. If you have some skill and experience in motorcycle maintenance, you should be able to install it with no problem by following the instruction manual. The effect was obvious, the idling was stable and the fuel economy was improved. SPII Power Coils kit for GSX1400 - Great product!!!
I ordered the AS Uotani SPII Power Coils kit from Webike.net and it was delivered in a reasonable time in a well prepared package. No problems at all to receive!!! I have replaced the 15yo coils of my GSX1400 2008 (Special Edition) by the SPII coils with the Power Amplify. The replacement was not difficult (despite the instructions in japanese - tks google translator image). The bike is now running very smoothly. It had worth the investment particularly with the difficulty to find the original parts. But this in fact revealed to be a much better option. I would suggest the supplier to invest in an english version of the product description/instructions. View detail
Coil puncture after 300km of installation
After 300km of driving after installation, IgnitionFuse flew out and disabled driving.
I checked and found that one Coil was Punctured.
No return or warranty was accepted because it was over 30 days after delivery.
100,000 yen was par for the course in 3 hours of driving.

To install on MONKEY125, it is necessary to make your own bracket and some other work is required.
Wiring itself is almost Complet-on, and the Unit rarely heats up, so installation itself is easy once you find a place to put the Controller.
The spark is very strong in Specifications, but it is not good at Plug, which has a thin iridium-type center electrode.
I felt this would speed up the electrode life considerably.
Even with Normal plugs, it is necessary to widen the PlugGap to the specified width, so the PlugGapGauge is a must!
A released electrode Plug like BRISK also sparks well and improves Response!
WideBandAFR measurement shows that the combustion efficiency may be increased or it may be a little thinner, so it is better to make it a little thicker, either sub computer or full computer.

There was a reason why it changed so much....
This SP.PowerCoilKit is for Grom, but it can be installed on MONKEY125 without modification.
Except for the removal of the gold netting from the NORMALA air cleaner and the Full Exhaust System, the plugs are all NORMAL and the NGK MotoDX plugs are still in use, with the gap adjusted to 1.3mm as specified by Utani.
I have replaced ignition system parts such as reinforced coil and plugs, but I could not feel the difference.
There was a reason why it changed so much....
You can feel the thicker Torque at low and mid speeds without any leaks.
The rotation increase in RACING also changes to a blinding speed, and the revs are hitting the revs all at once.
The number of situations where the Accelerator operation can be used alone has increased, and the number of Downshift operations has decreased, making it easier.
The vibration of the handlebar remains the same, but the vibration of the footpeg has increased.
I was hesitant to purchase the product, partly because it was priced at over 30,000 yen and I had my eyebrows raised as to how effective it would be, but I am glad I fell off the clean water stage.

Installed on a HORNET 250 and it worked!
The first thing that surprised me when I installed it was the Engine's startability.
I made the first ignition at night when it was about 10 degrees Celsius, and the Engine started just by saying "squeak". Impressed at this point (no Chalk)
I ran the car afterwards and could definitely feel a clear increase in Torque from low speed to about 6000 rpm.
At first it was just uncomfortable and weird. It accelerates very smoothly from low speed.
It spins very nicely up to high rpm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The other thing is that I was surprised that the Response of the air blower is so much better.
I have not changed the carburetor Setting.
Commuting and TouringAlmost every day I spent with HORNET and rode it for almost 3 years, so there should be no doubt.
I also changed the plug cord and iridium plugs together.
If you're not sure whether to buy it because of the price, you may as well buy it anyway.
