Used for SL230.
I bought this for touring with my SL230. If I had the budget, I would have purchased a plated or anodized coated chain, but this time I compromised with steel. I chose this one because I can ride long touring without worrying about durability and maintenance (although of course I will maintain it after long touring).
I have only used it for about 500 km, but the surface has rusted due to moisture, my fault for choosing Steel, but I am disappointed. Next time I will buy one with surface treatment.

DID for peace of mind!
I replaced the WR because it had never been replaced since I purchased it and because it was rusting badly and its movement was becoming sluggish.
I think the Chain before the replacement was a little more than OEM so that it could be used with the Rear Sprocket for Off-Road! (I think it was 110 LINK)
However, I don't use the Rear Sprocket for Off-Road anymore and when it is set to MOTARDSpec. it was a little loose even when the Chain Adjuster was extended to the limit, so I reduced the number of LINKs to 108 LINKs.
I think that OEM Rear Sprocket can be installed without any problem, but I had to increase the number of Sprocket on the Front to make it larger, so I was able to make a Limit Joint with the Chain Adjuster at its shortest (lol).
I thought the chain might be too tight, but it was surprisingly roomy and did not break....it might break if the rear suspension is at full bottom....but it is no problem in town driving.
After the chain replacement, the rear tire turns smoothly, and the chain noise and squeaking noise are reduced when driving.

Chain replacement
Since the Front and Rear Sprocket were replaced, the Sprocket was also replaced.
I had been using D.I.D.'s VX, but this time I decided to go with the high-grade ZVM-X.
OEM is 114 LINK, but we purchased 120 LINK and will pack Piece.
Chain Cut & Crimp tool is used for press fitting and crimping.
Plate was measured and adjusted with Caliper.
The ZVM-X has a pin length of 21.1mm, while the VX we have been using has a pin length of 18.7mm.

Other items that would be helpful
For crimping joints, we recommend the Chain Cut & Crimp tool. Other tools may tend to over press-fit or insufficiently crimp the joint. The DID website has a formula for changing the number of pieces when replacing a sprocket, so you can find the number of chain tops you need by entering the number of OEM pieces, the number of FSprockets and RSprockets, etc. The tool is sold in two-piece quantities, so you can buy a just-size one. The price is low and you don't have to do any cutting work.

Periodic replacement and improved maintenance
Changed to Clip type to simplify periodic replacement of Chain, which had been somewhat unevenly stretched since purchase of used equipment, and cleaning after off-road driving.
Since they are available in 2-piece increments, they do not require a cut and are easy to install.
However, the process of cutting with a sander, etc., requires a high level of skill and tooling, since it is originally a crimp type.
After the replacement, the spinning of the rear tires became lighter.
Since they are stored with grease on them, it is a good idea to remove the grease first to make it easier to clean them at a later date, and also to avoid collecting unnecessary dirt.
In addition, removing the drive sprocket cover and cleaning the accumulated grease is a recommendation to make it last longer.

Daido's ZVM-XSeries was selected for its durability.
We raised the FrontSprocket by 1T, so we increased it by 2 LINKs from OEM to 108L.
