Genuine Yamaha Bearing for YZF600 2001
This bike came in for a bit of an overhaul in the engine department and needed a few parts to finish the project. One of the main issues was a bad transmission bearing which when removed had seen better days. The bike did have over 95,000 miles on it so was probably due anyway. Finding the right part was easy as I used the tools Webike provide in their help section and then I cross referenced it on Yamaha schematics to be sure. The bearing was surprisingly good value and better than I could source locally. With some other smaller parts, I got them all shipped together using EMS as my couier. My order arrived in 5 days, undamaged and perfect condition throughout. The bearing did come in the Yamaha box and was padded with bubble wrap around the outside. The bearing itself is a pretty big one for this bike. The hard part was getting the old one out as there were also some corrosion on that. The new bearing runs smooth, has a slick movement and fitting in perfect with the right drift tool. There is a long way to go before this bike can be started again but just the mechanical movement by hand and there were no nasty sounds coming from that area now. Job done. Thanks Webike, great work. Genuine Yamaha Circlip for FZ6R 2014
As with when ever I change out bearings regardless of where, if the circlip is also available, I do tend to change these out too. No point putting a previously removed circlip on a new build. Yes, it might look ok but the tension is never going to be what it actually should be. So, finding the right circlip was as straight forward as finding the bearing. Using the tools Webike provide on their help pages and cross referencing for my own peace of mind on Yamaha schematics. The price was excellent as expected. With some other parts for this bike in my basket already, I had them all shipped together to save a little shipping fees. EMS is my courier of choice as they just get the orders delivered fast with no fuss. Upon arrival, the box was well packaged and all the smaller parts were individually packed for safety. The circlip came in the standard Yamaha packet. Not really much I can say about this circlip, it is well machined, the perimeters are within spec. The quality is plain to see but until you attempt top put it in place, you are never going to know how it fits. With no issues on the install, I can say, this is a top quality part and that was the finish of the main bearing in the transmission replacement. I bought it because I use Enduro as my main and use Clutch a lot for logs and gullies.
Was the one you received as per Image?
It is exactly as shown in the Image. I even feel that it is packed more Compact than I expected.
Was the installation difficult?
Simply replace the existing clutch spring that is holding it in place, and if you work with the motorcycle on its side, you don't even need to pull the oil out. You just need to make sure that the spring is properly seated in the Retainer groove.
How was your experience with it?
Since the last time I rode the Washer, there was a little bit of free time, so I could not say that there was a drastic change! I used only one washer, so I may add another washer to change the characteristics a little more.

The bolt has a countersunk hole to reduce friction and a hexagonal head. The torque is 10Nm, but if you do not have a hexagonal tool, you will have to tighten the bolt by feel.

Used for SL230.
I bought this for touring with my SL230. If I had the budget, I would have purchased a plated or anodized coated chain, but this time I compromised with steel. I chose this one because I can ride long touring without worrying about durability and maintenance (although of course I will maintain it after long touring).
I have only used it for about 500 km, but the surface has rusted due to moisture, my fault for choosing Steel, but I am disappointed. Next time I will buy one with surface treatment.
