Caliper Cleaning Essentials
[How is it used?
Used to clean the pistons of the Front and Rear caliper of YAMAHA XJR400R.
It was also used to remove the TZr50R piston during Restore, but it was stuck and could not be removed here, so it was eventually removed with Fluid hydraulics.
Was the one you received as per Image?
The size is much larger than I imagined. It is just right for a man with large hands.
It's pretty bulky in the tool box, and I thought it was easy to understand how to use since it comes with an Instruction Manual.
How was your experience with it?
The part that grips the Piston is processed into a ThornThorn so that it has a good bite to the Piston, and it has a butterfly screw to hold the Piston in its gripped state, so that work to turn/move the Piston can progress not only when attaching/removing the Piston but also when squeezing the Piston out.
[Points to note]
ThornThorn will damage the Piston if it is not used with a firm Hold.
You might want to bite Dustclothetc. as it scratches a little bit even with proper use.
How did it compare to other products?
There are plenty of cheaper ones than this on Amazonetc., but there are not many that are ThornThorn processed, so that may be a good Point.
However, the price is somewhat high, so that is a weak point.

Caliper cleaning and removal
It is a useful tool for cleaning/removal and pad replacement for Caliper.
The part that holds the Piston is also non-slip, so you can grind the Piston without slipping. The Adjustment is not likely to be used very often, but if it is not troublesome, it is better to fix the Piston firmly with the Adjustment and grind the Piston.

Necessities
Although it is a Piston Removal Tool, I think it is actually used more often to rotate the Piston.
This is also useful in regular BrakeMaintenance Piston cleaning. Or rather, there are more opportunities to use it this way.
Without this tool, it is necessary to look at the entire circumference to clean and check for rust, and also to turn it slightly when blowing metal rubber or silicon lubes to get them in place.
I think one should definitely have one of these tools.
The clasps...to be honest, I don't use them much.

If you're asking if it's necessary, yes.
The reason I purchased this tool was because the Chinese product I had purchased previously was unusable, and depending on the degree of adhesion, it would be difficult to remove it with this tool. View detail
Good rigidity, normal use.
[How is it used?
For Caliper cleaning and OH.
Was the one you received as per Image?
It was bigger than I expected. No problem using it.
How was your experience with it?
It is not cheap and seems to be hard to break.
The grips are soft and easy on the hands.
The feeling of use was good.
How did it compare to other products?
I chose this product because I didn't want to buy a cheap one and have it break immediately or have the piston scratched all over the place. I am glad I chose this product because I clean the Caliper at a relatively high frequency.
If you rarely use it, you can go find something a little cheaper.

It is easy to use for Piston that is not adhered.
Pistons that are not adhered can be used adequately. However, we cannot pull out a sticking Piston. If the piston is stuck, it is best to pull it out hydraulically. View detail
Difficult to find situations where it is used.
While useful for turning and pulling Piston
It is not as if we have to do without this tool.
It is only useful if it is sticking or if you have a problem with love.
It's functional enough, but it scratches the inside of the Piston.
It is advisable to use a guess cloth.

It worked fine.
I bought this when I was replacing the Brake Pads on my W800.
Before I bought it. "It's cheap, but I wonder if it's large enough." I thought it was a good idea, but I am glad to say that I had no problems using it as far as I was concerned.
I think it's a little weak, so I'd say it's only for personal use.

It wasn't supposed to be this.
It seems that the Pliers with a lock mechanism that was handled before has disappeared, so I had no choice but to buy this one.
It would have been more convenient to have a locking mechanism so that I didn't have to keep applying my grip force all the time.
Well, if the Caliper is in a bad condition, you can't just rub it out with this kind of tool, so in that sense, I don't think it makes much difference either way.

Brake Caliper PistonMaintenance Pliers
Pliers for gripping the Piston of the Brake Caliper.
LargePiston has a concave center, so you can grab it from the inside with Pliers like this one.
This product is the part that grips the Piston (Black part in the picture) It has a butterfly screw to hold the piston in your hand, so it is easy to turn and move the piston.
However, because the above-mentioned ThornThorn hurts the Piston, it can be used without a sense of guilt when it is cured by winding Vinyl Tape.
All in all, it's a must-have for BrakeMaintenance.

This is enough for personal use.
I bought this for brake maintenance on my Motard 100. The grip part is blue, so the dirt is conspicuous when using it with dirty hands. The grip part is blue, so if you use it with dirty hands, the dirt will stand out. I think black would have been better. View detail
It was helpful
It's easy to grip and grips the piston well. It's so easy to use that I don't think I'll need to use the Fixing Screw.Recommendation. View detail
I should have bought it earlier without being stingy. The price is still a barrier.
Purchased to clean my Caliper piston.
I was hesitant to buy it at first, and when I put Dustcloth on Piston and sandwiched it with ViseClip, I got a scratch.
You can't be stingy in the weirdest places.

Doesn't hurt my hands.
The grip is soft so it doesn't hurt my hands when I work with it. I didn't get tired even in long work. View detail

If you're a motorcycle that's regularly serviced, you'll be able to
Cost performance is good
Although it can be used with no problem in Brake which is usually maintained small and diligent, it cannot grasp Piston firmly and slips when movement is reluctant without touching it for a long time.

It can be used normally
There is not much in the way of luxury or design in terms of appearance.
It has been stored in an indoor toolbox and has not rusted for 8 years.
The Grip is thin and painful for a tool that requires a lot of force to use. However, you can turn the Piston with the grip strength of an average man, if it doesn't stick, you can do your best.
Also, I've never felt the need for the Butterfly Screw when using it.
The butterfly screw is used to make it close in Small size when storing. The width is about 43mm up and down without the butterfly screw.
Material is a material that sticks to magnets, so we use separately purchased magnetic holders for storage.
