Genuine HRC Throttle cable Type A for CBR1000RR 2013
This is the second throttle cable (Type A) as I needed the set for the bike, I already ordered (Type B). My friend asked if I knew of a website that they could get Genuine HRC parts from that are hard to get in the UK. I suggested Webike. Upon checking, these were very hard to get hold of in the UK but Webike had both throttle cables needed for my friends project. Again, brillaint price, more than half what they are available here in the UK for genuine HRC parts dealer. Unfortunately though, the HRC dealer in the UK could not give an estimate of when they would be able to get the parts. Not an issue with Webike. I rarely get only one part in an order so adding a few makes teh shipping cost a lot easier to swallow. All my order was shipped using EMS as they just get the job done right first time and very quickly. The tracking is in full so I know where my order is at all times. The order arrived in 5 days from shipping and the parts were very well packaged and no damage was sustained during transit. The throttle cables are great. The sleeves are smooth with no bad bends, the cable is freely movable inside and must be teflon coated is my guess. No matter, the action is smooth as butter once fitted. I always use them because they are cheaper than OEM and the quality is good.
However, only the NORMAL length is sold, so it may not be possible to install if an Up Handle etc. is attached.

I tried to install it on my 1997 YZF1000R 4SV, but the inner wire on the side that opens the Axel was too short to install...
The one with the bent tip in the second photo is the Throttle Cable removed from the car body.

I bought this Type 3 Active TMR throttle cable with steel mesh outer layer to match with the overall look of my bike (1988 suzuki gsx-r750J slingshot) with the high-polished frame and swingarm and parts. it really goes well with the Active fast throttle (silver) and the push and pull function is very well defined. Decompression is a must for a long ride.
I was able to start the engine without Decompression for a while without any problem, but it became hard due to my age, so I added Decompression again.

What is Decompression anyway?

The Accelerator Wire on my gsx400Impulse GK79A got stuck and stopped working, so I replaced it myself. Even such a simple repair would have cost a lot of money if I had asked a store to do it.
