Phantom 7-speed measures
Since there is no dedicated mounting bracket, I used a homemade bracket made by cutting an aluminum plate to mount it on the Meter.
Instead of using the included PG110Sensor, we soldered and connected DAYTONA's Electric Type Speedometer Conversion Adapter Twin Type.
The operation is perfectly fine, and although there is a slight time lag after a shift change, the display is easy to see, and I thought it would be a useful part if it were available.

If you are a bit cheaper ...
I often go on unexplored tours where there are no service stations around.
I bought it because I was dissatisfied with the SL fuel gauge which was not very reliable.
Naturally, the fuel is very accurately measured. But the product is a little cheap for the price.
I wonder … If it were a little cheaper, I think there would be more Users who would like to install it.

It's Recommendation
It is easy to install. No configuration required and the RPM is great. No more searching for the phantom 7 speed. View detail
If you want to buy a little peace of mind, add Security.
When looking for a theft alarm for motorcycles, Large Land products that can be operated by batteries with a REMOTE CONTROLLER can be found for as little as 2,000 yen.
However, motorcycle is a vehicle that has a low carrying capacity, so you want to carry as little as possible. (Is it just me?)
In such a situation, only the key (key) of Motorcycle is turned ON/OFF, and the alarm Quantity:I found a product that can do Set, and this is what I found.
Security includes alarms for tilt and vibration sensors.
Installation only requires wiring to the battery and ACC, so it takes only 5 to 10 minutes, and even if you add the time to find a place to install the alarm itself, it takes less than 20 to 30 minutes.
Motorcycles are vulnerable to theft.
Parking on the road and daily storage management are also necessary, but for about 10,000 yen, it is inexpensive if you think you can handle it with a little ease and buy peace of mind. cH000000} ( *´ω`* ) /
Merit for this product (personal opinion).
? No REMOTE CONTROLLER required, can operate with Motorcycle key only.
The alarm and Alarm are also small, so it is hard to find a good location for them. The small size of the alarm and alarm system makes it difficult to find a suitable mounting location.
? Installation tool is only a screwdriver.
? Easy to handle with no detailed settings.
Demerit for this product (personal opinion).
? No volume control for alarm sound.
? No alarm sensitivity adjustment function.
? Price around 10,000 yen.
? The startup sound uses Siren sound, so it doesn't feel like it's started…. "Peweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" It is a high-pitched sound.
? The double-sided tape for installation that comes with the alarm, Alarm, and LED is cheap…. (You should replace it with a stronger one.)

Prevent phantom 7-speed
I bought it because GEAR is in 6th gear due to Short and it SHIFT UP.
Thanks to this, I rarely SHIFT UP to 7th gear, but it is convenient for Others to know what speed I am in.

unresponsive
If you do Downshift early when stopping at a traffic light, you will not be able to catch up and a different GEAR will be displayed.
Neutral was accurate except for Time lag because Neutral has a dedicated Sensor.
Still, it is helpful for car models that do not have a Shift indicator.

When it works and when it doesn't.
It is easy to see how many speeds.
Time lag is subtle.
Sometimes it is slightly buggy due to idling. (Return by key OFF)
It depends on the person.

bright
In NORMAL, when it is halfway bright with street lights, etc.
I'm not sure if the light is on or not.
This is bright! This is so bright!
Just too cosmetic.
Light adjustment is also hard to do.
And durability? I wonder.
Wiring expired 3 times in 2 years after installation.
After two and a half years, it went dark due to a Valve or Controller failure.
Even Halogen can hold a little more...

Product defective both times.
Purchased and installed at a certain motorcycle accessory store. Immediately after installation, the Lens fogged up and emitted a yellow color.
The product was defective and was replaced by the Manufacturer, but the product sent back had the same problem.
Seriously, I'm disappointed.

There are a lot of false indications on Downshift, but I am generally satisfied!
As for use, there is no problem at all when SHIFT UP, but there are many false indications when Downshift is used. This may be due to the fact that the Shift display is determined by the number of revolutions and speed when connected to Clutch, but it is not very helpful when Downshift is performed all at once after Clutch is turned off at the time of Red signal.
Also, it is GOOD that it has one extra power supply take-out Wiring!
Installation is easy with Couplet-on to NORMALWiring, but there was no room in the Light case and it would not close. We managed to get it to fit after some maneuvering, but in the end it took more than 30 minutes. The Instruction Manual says to install it on the top of the Meter, but I stuck it on the panel under the Meter because the Bracket was unreliable and it did not seem to fit well.

Convenient, but...
Retrofit Shift indicator.
It is more convenient than I had expected to be able to see the Gear position when it suddenly occurs to me.
I installed the UniversalKit before the dedicated kit came out, and it rarely stops reading Shift, but the countermeasure is posted on Protec's blog, and I don't think that problem will occur as long as the dedicated kit is available.
The visibility is as shown in the image.
The LCD itself is slightly reddish, so it was sometimes difficult to see in strong sunlight.
Therefore, we cut and pasted a cutting sheet to cover all the parts of the LCD except for the digital meter.
It is much easier to see.
I have been using it for more than 2 years since installation and have not experienced any problems.

Very bright LED Bulb
We used to use LED Headlight made by another company.
Protec's CYCLONELED uses a fan system for heat dissipation.
The previous LEDs sometimes seemed a little dark at night, but I had no complaints while using them.
However, I have had the opportunity to use this product with the edge, and it is brighter.
This product was my first experience with Protec products, and I felt that I would like to continue using them in the future, including the sincerity of the engineers toward their products.

Items that make riding fun!
From the owner's son (who rarely rides now).
We installed it at the request of the customer, who insisted on having it installed.
ESTRELLA Motorcycle is a Classic Motorcycle.
I thought Simple was the way to go.
He said it's easy to get on because you know where the Shift is.
It is not difficult to install, so it is a convenient equipment if it is provided.

Was the installation difficult?
Wiring diagram with Illustration is included in the instruction manual, so even a beginner can easily install it.
How was your experience with it?
I haven't been able to install it yet because I haven't had time to work on it, but the design is simple and the wiring is easy, so it looked like it would fit in pretty well at the tentative assembly stage.
[Included Parts:were they on?
All necessary items are available, but you will need Bullet Terminal, etc., if needed.

If I blip ping and downshift over 4000 rpm, does the display change?
All-in-one, nothing else was needed, and it was selected because it was a sensitive type.
While we are generally satisfied, we are a little disappointed in the following two points. (especially the second point, which I have not seen anywhere else)
The letters are barely visible in the sunlight during the day.
When I blip ping and downshift at around 4000 rpm with the engine running at that rpm, I get the following results.
Every so often, the Shift display remains the same as the original.
If I accelerate or decelerate a little from that state, the correct Shift is displayed, but I wonder why this is the case even though it is a sensor type.
If I drop to 3→2→1 at about 50km/h toward the Red signal, the display will remain at 3 or 2 even though I am in first gear.
I don't think it will bother you if you return to first gear after a stop, or if you Downshift at a slightly lower rpm.
Regarding the second point, I will take a video and contact the Manufacturer.
