At last, we are at the end of the 50base bore up.
I have bore up with SUPER CUBOEM 50→75→85. This time I tried 85→88.
4MINI's standard Tune, Bore up, you hear it a lot, don't you?
What is Bore up? Bore up means to increase the engine displacement volume by enlarging the cylinder diameter (bore diameter). 。 Increase engine displacement volume by replacing the cylinder or by replacing it with a larger piston. 。 The purpose is to increase acceleration by increasing Engine Displacement Volume.
Basically, it is generally recognized that the object of modern bore-up is not a car but a motorcycle, because unlike a car, the engine of a motorcycle is made of iron →analog, so parts can be easily replaced. Cars are made of aluminum, which is not suitable for bore up.
Merit of Bore up
◎Ability to improve acceleration performance and Torque 。
◎30 km limit for Class 1 mopeds; two-step Right turn is no longer required. (Notification required)
◎Largeest load capacity also increases from 30 kg to 60 kg.
Demerit of Bore up
◎ Will it shorten the life of the Motorcycle such as Engine? →I guess it depends on how you ride and the degree of bore up.
Oil management is severe than OEM. 2000 km oil change.
◎Tax Gold will increase 。 Insurance needs to be reviewed with the Engine Displacement Volume change.
Clutch and other parts are slippery. Clutch capacity is adjusted to the original engine displacement volume, so the capacity will be exceeded.
◎Failure to file an application for an alteration act could be considered tax evasion.
Bore up increases the Engine Displacement Volume, so it is necessary to report the modification. 。 Specifically, you will submit a proof of registration of modification at the tax department of the city hall. You will need to bring your personal seal (inkan), the License Plate that you have been using, and documents that prove that you have increased the Engine Displacement Volume by modifying your vehicle. 。 Proof of Engine Displacement Volume change is Large sturdy, such as a receipt for a special kit purchased at the time of bore up.
In my case, I bore up the crank and cylinder head to reduce the workload and safety margin, and use the OEM50 as it is.
I would like to write about the good and bad points in this relatively easy Bore up.
Where is the best Manufacturer?
There are a lot of companies releasing these products, including Takegawa, KITACO, DAYTONA, and Clipping point, which is the company we used this time.
Clipping point also has a store on YakuOff, and they are very helpful in answering questions such as confirmation of fitment, and I think their parts are highly accurate. I also like that their prices are relatively reasonable, so I like to use their services.
good point
◎Number will be White→Yellow color, so you will be less likely to be agitated on the road. (Subject to notification, absolutely.)
◎I am impressed by the Torque and acceleration which is incomparable to 50. 50→88 has 1.76 times Engine Displacement Volume, so it is a different vehicle (laugh).
◎Touring performance is also improved:since the car does not run at 30 km/h, it can run with the normal flow of traffic and does not interfere with traffic.
◎The Instruction Manual that comes with the Kit is easy to read, so even unfamiliar users can do it.
◎The accuracy of the parts is not bad, and the price is reasonable and I think it is from the user's point of view.
◎It normally weighs 80 kilograms. Without any pressure (laughs)
Bad points ... or rather, things that should be done.
◎The compression ratio of the Up Kit, in which only the cylinder and piston are replaced while the head remains the same, is higher than that of the Normal Kit because the volume at top dead center remains the same. Therefore, the ignition point temperature is higher. (flame retardant) Please make it high-octane.
Regular is fine, but since it has high compression, the exhaust heat cannot keep up with the normal 60 km/h run, and it will burn out. 。 Most large bore ups have high compression, so I specify high octane for heat exhaust. 。 If the high compression is less than 30 km/h, I think RegularGasoline would be able to handle this.
However, if you weigh the cost of putting regular gasoline in the car with the cost of repairing the broken gasoline, it would be cheaper to put high octane gasoline in the car.
Install High Camshaft + change the GEAR ratio (change the Large size of Sprocket...I set it to 14 in front and 36 in the rear.) If you don't do that, the maximum speed will not increase at all (lol).
◎You should increase the size of the carburetor. 50OEM can only intake up to about 75cc. I think you should use an external or OEM90 carburetor.
Reinforced clutch at a minimum. increase the size of the oil pump if there is room.
From my experience....75cc is the limit for NORMAL50's clutch and oil pump....even with 75cc, I have experienced the clutch slipping and the cylinder valve melting...(laugh)
Comparing the 75 and 88, the 88 has more Torque, but it requires a stronger oil pump and an extended orifice, and a reinforced clutch is also necessary.
If you keep Normal head and Crank is 50, I think Bore up88CC is the limit.
So, what's the attraction? You may be thinking, "Well, I can do it by myself only above the waist, and since I am free from the 30-kilometer limit, I can really use it as a daily leg.
We do require a minimum of notification, Clutch, and Oil pump, though. This alone is safe.
It is less expensive than buying a new Motorcycle with the above Engine Displacement Volume. It depends on how much bore up you want to do, but it won't cost you that much if you can use the OEM parts.
If you have done the bore up yourself once, there is also the convenience of being able to fix it as soon as it breaks.
For now, just try Bore up. It will be a completely different ride. But it's a hassle to manage the oil, etc. (laughs).
I am planning to replace it with CUB90 OEM in the near future.

CLIPPING POINTTouring 110cc Kit+High Camshaft (mid-high speed)
I used to have 88cc, but I really wanted to change it to 110cc with 6V. 110cc has a wide variety and this time I chose TouringSpec. I am glad I bought it because the power and torque are totally different than 88cc. View detail
Long-established TuningParts with good cosmetics
[How is it used?
We had been increasing the power output by modifying the OEM 6VHead, but we felt the limit and introduced an external head.
Was the one you received as per Image?
I don't dislike recent brands, but I chose Clipping point because I wanted to use a long-established, traditional manufacturer's product. I think it is well made and of high quality.
Was the installation difficult?
It is not difficult if you follow the instructions. 6VMONKEY, you should always check the Crank length. (I am SCrank).
How was your experience with it?
The output was as expected. I was particularly impressed with the Decompression feature, which I thought was a sign of the times…. Compression is reasonably high and durability seems good.
[Included Parts:were they on?
Custom work is possible with Kit alone.
[Was there anything that disappointed you?
Nothing in particular. I don't know the difference from the famous Brand in detail, but it is enough for me. I am also satisfied with the historical Brand.

Rave reviews for the real fast delivery!!! It's in a perfect condition. The company! I like the products, so I keep using them View detail
RonTwo would be this way.
I changed from a T Company N20 that had run a little over 2000km at once. I ran it for about 100km, but I think this one is easier for RonTwo without a sub computer. The well-known "whirring sound" is heard with or without Decompression, and even without Decompression, the Cell Motor doesn't seem to be turning heavily. I think you don't need Decompression. Clipping point High camshaft ST-1
This high camshaft, which is just bolt on. Can feel the power increases from mid to high end. The best part is low end power still the same. Its an all rounder. Also prices are reasonable. View detail
Clipping point52mmStrokeCrankshaft
I am satisfied with the product with good cost performance. View detail
The mid to high RPM range has been lightened.
I was looking for a Cam with Decompression and the price was reasonable, so I installed it.
I feel that the difficulty level itself is high there, since tools are required to a certain extent and Tappet adjustment is necessary.
(Considering all the tools, it may not be much different from having it done at a store...)
Better extension above 5000 rpm! But when I compare (on the video), the acceleration itself seems to be the same as OEM.
Nevertheless, it is better than the OEMCam for mid to high RPM extension and less vibration, so it is good for those who run on a turn-by-turn basis.
We have also changed the Exhaust System, but in the summer, the FI fuel thinning DTC started to appear.
If the exhaust system is used in NORMAL, or if it is combined with the exhaust system replacement, it is necessary to take measures such as fuel adjustment or increasing the injector volume. (To the swamp...)

It took a while, but I had fun while doing it.
Installed on SUPER CUB 50FI AA01-175****.
It was my first time to work on a Bore up engineCustom, and I had a lot of trouble reassembling and rooting, but I finally finished it.
I gave it 3 stars because I'm going to break it in and I don't know how durable it is yet.
It was a large and strange task for an amateur, but I enjoyed it.
At the same time, we replaced the Takegawa Reinforced Clutch and Oil pump, and installed the FI Controller and Oil cooler.
I'm also planning to replace the Air Filter, BigThrottle and Injector.
