Improve visibility
[How is it used?
I bought this for safety because with OEMMirror I can't see directly behind me at all.
Long Type was selected to improve visibility.
Was the installation difficult?
I would just re-tighten it with OEMBolt,
It was a little difficult to install the product in the folded state because it interfered with the cowl.
How was your experience with it?
Visibility has been improved by a large margin compared to the OEM.
The purple mirror surface was easy to get used to and had a dress-up effect.
[Included Parts:were they on?
It has Spacer and Bolt to accommodate various types of vehicles.
R3 did not need it.
[Was there anything that disappointed you?
Nothing in particular, but it is quite heavy compared to OEM, so I'd like to see it lightened.

Standard mirror Safety Standard Corresponding Product
Installed on Ape100.
Hopefully, we wanted the OEM Mirror, but it was already discontinued, so we chose the OEM-looking MotorcyclePartsCenterNo.12 Mirror. Although it is a standard mirror, it meets safety standards and provides excellent rearward visibility.
Motorcycle mirrors are available in various types such as Mini type, Aluminum Cut-out Type, Foot shape, AeroCarbon, etc. You can choose any type of mirrors for motorcycles, but please note that any type is not OK. However, please note that not all types can be replaced.
Motorcycle mirrors are clearly standardized under the Road Trucking Vehicle Law. The details can be viewed by anyone at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's Home Page, but the drawback is that there are many legal terms. To put it bluntly, it is difficult to understand. Therefore, I would like to explain what I have researched in my own way as simply as possible.
There are two points.
One is that the standards vary depending on the year of the Motorcycle.
The other is, Area." Large. The addition of the criteria for
The latest safety standards apply to all motorcycles manufactured on or after January 1, 2007, and all vehicles type-approved on or after January 1, 2005. The following is a step-by-step explanation of the safety standards for Motorcycle mirrors that meet these requirements. It is important to note that all items of the safety standards must be [Color] It is something that needs to be CLEAR.
The mirror itself can be of any shape, round, square, or hexagonal. However, the area of the mirror part of the Mirror must be at least 69?.
If you are wearing a circular mirror, it must be neither too large nor too small. It must have a diameter of at least 94mm. On the other hand, it should not be larger than 150mm.
For noncircular Mirrors, the Large size must be within 120×200mm. This is the same condition for any shape other than a circle, such as a square, oval, or hexagon. The opposite size of 200×120mm is also acceptable. The size must also be able to fit a circle with a diameter of 78mm. Mirror that is too large or too thin is not acceptable.
In addition to area and bulk size, the other important point is the installation. The following must be satisfied for the installation.
Firmly attached.
The handlebar must be installed 280mm or more outward from the center of the handlebar.
・Quantity:Pair (for Left and Right) Must have Mirror on both
Firm means solid and unbreakable, so Mirror that can be easily detached is not acceptable. Also, the center point of the Mirror mirror surface must be at least 28 cm away from the center of the handlebar. Finally, Quantity:Pair (for Left and Right) Both must have Mirror. If only one side has Mirror, it is NG. (Motorcycle with one Mirror is not acceptable except for Moped 1)
There are other rules besides area, size, and installation method.
The driver must be able to adjust it in the normal operating position.
The structure must be capable of cushioning the impact of contact with pedestrians, etc., and must not be of a type that could cause injury to pedestrians, etc.
Vehicle Quantity:Pair (for Left and Right) Ability to check traffic conditions 50m above the outer line.
The mirror shall not conform if it has significant distortion, cloudiness or cracks on the surface.
Particular attention should be paid to the fact that cracks and other problems can be NG. Even a few Cracks should be replaced before the vehicle is inspected. It should also be adjustable.
For example, a Case that is welded and fixed in such a way that it cannot be oriented; this is a no-no because it will not be adjustable.
Strictly speaking, there are a few more Mirror security standards, but the rest is too detailed. [Color] If it is clear, it is large and sturdy. However, we have talked about area, Large sturdiness, mounting, and many other criteria so far. [Color] It means that you have to be CLEAR.
So what exactly happens to Motorcycles manufactured before 2007? Motorcycles manufactured before December 31, 2006, and motorcycles whose type approval date is before December 31, 2004. but in this case, there is no stipulation on the large size (area and diameter) of the mirror surface, otherwise they will be together.
In other words, the basic safety standards are the same, but for motorcycles manufactured in 2007 and later, the requirement for a large mirror surface (69?, 120×within 200mm, or within a circle of 78mm, etc.) has been added.
Incidentally, for motorcycles manufactured before November 30, 1975, the safety standards are even different 。 However, since there are very few of them in this year, we will omit them.
You may have noticed that Motorcycle Mirror also has safety standards that are quite detailed. Then, what happens if they do not conform to the safety standards? First of all, if the vehicle does not conform to the safety standards, it will not pass the vehicle inspection. In addition, not only will the vehicle pass or fail inspection, but it will also be the subject of enforcement action as a vehicle that has been improperly modified or poorly maintained.
(Prohibition of unauthorized modification, etc.)
Article 99-2 No person shall, with respect to a motor vehicle for which a valid automobile inspection certificate has been issued pursuant to the provision of Paragraph 1 of Article 58 or a non-inspected mini motor vehicle for which notification of use has been given pursuant to the provision of Paragraph 1 of Article 97-3, perform any alterations to the vehicle or its parts, installation or removal of equipment or any other similar acts, which would cause the vehicle or its parts to conform to safety standards. 。 Citation:Article 99-2 of the Road Trucking Vehicle Law
If the vehicle is tampered with, the penalty is imprisonment for not more than 6 months or 300,000 yen, and if the vehicle is poorly maintained (e.g., tail lights), the penalty is one point and 6,000 yen in penalty gold.
In practice, it seems that Mirror does not often face enforcement action, but you should be aware that there is a good chance that you will be caught for violations or illegality. (If you are caught, you cannot complain.) And of course, the same applies to motorcycles under 250cc without inspection.
Especially, the size and the area of the Mirror are likely to be caught by the security standard, if you want to add a Mirror with good parenthesis or a slim Mirror,
The area must have an area of 69?.
Circle with a diameter of 78mm must be concealed.
For circular Mirror, the diameter must be between 94mm and 150mm.
In the case of a motorcycle manufactured in 2007, the above three points are particularly important. The most important thing is to be able to see the rear of the vehicle.
I hope you find the above helpful.

Installation Comments
Easy to install, but will loosen as it is not a Nut lock. View detail
I think it would look great on the GSX-S 125.
[How is it used?
This Mirror was originally purchased for a CUB and was lying dormant, but was installed on a GSX-S125. I replaced it because it bothered me very much when I was riding.
Was the one you received as per Image?
I think it lives up to its reputation.
Was the installation difficult?
It is a little difficult to loosen the moving parts, but if you take your time, you can get the firmness you like, so Large is strong.
How was your experience with it?
It is an inexpensive product, but it did not distort the mirror surface, so we were able to achieve our goal. I also think it fits GSX-S125. I searched for the product and found several other people who have installed it, so I am sure it is correct.
[Included Parts:were they on?
nothing special
[Was there anything that disappointed you?
As you say, the screws for mounting the mirror surface are prone to rust. If you clean the rust off frequently or replace it with Stainless Steeletc. It is noticeable, so I am concerned about it.
The visibility is a little poor when installed as is on the GSX-S125, so I installed it with the Napoleon OnOff-set Holder 30mm forward. In this condition, I personally have no problem with the visibility.

This is good.
The shape of the mirror is designed to avoid the arm holding the handlebar, so the visibility is surprisingly good, and the bracket is thin, so it may be good to be less assertive.
The Mounting Base is a little large, so I adjusted it with a washer so that there would be no wound left on the cowl when tightening it.

The view over Mirror.
I feel that my rearward vision has expanded, which makes me feel more secure when changing lanes, and the view behind me when touring is pleasantly reflected in the blue sky. The installation was not difficult, and even a small gap is not a problem while driving. I am very happy with the purchase. View detail

Cheapness is appealing. The picture is good enough.
Installed on a HondaApe100.
Since the OEM Mirror was discontinued, we selected MotorcyclePartsCenter's No. 12 Mirror from among the less glamorous ones that looked similar to the OEM.
The result was a good MATCH for the overall atmosphere of the car body.
I am satisfied with the Mirror's copying.
The construction is commensurate with the price, so we recommend this Mirror to those who, to put it bluntly, are looking for cheapness.

Expected
I bought it for its looks and functionality, but there was an unexpected byproduct.
I have been using a Motorcycle Cover and have often caught the Mirror when removing the Cover. This Mirror is a fixed type, so it does not gap even if it is caught. At first I was annoyed that I had to use a tool to adjust the Mirror, but I personally like the fact that it does not move once the Mirror position is set.
The product is well made and can be recommendation.

I will not shake.
I used to have a ZMirror from Mukawa, but when I was having trouble with the blurred mirror surface, I found out about this one and bought it.
The back of the car can now be seen clearly.
Mirror is also slightly colored and looks luxurious.

Blue sky reflected in the Mirror
The purpose of purchasing the product was to improve rearward visibility when merging lanes.
Immediately after receiving the product, we started installation. First, check the approximate position by placing it on the OEM Mirror. After degreasing the mounting surface, peel off about half of the protective seal on the double-sided tape of the Mirror to be mounted, and slowly apply the tape,
One SideIt took about 5 minutes. The dimensions show a slight gap, but it did not bother me at all while driving.
I bought the Blue color this time and I think the color is good. I went out after noon and the sky was a little white, but when I looked through Mirror, I saw the reflection in the Blue sky as seen in the picture and it lifted my mood. Unexpected effect. I have not driven at night, but I feel that the visibility is not bad even when driving in the tunnel, and I do not feel dazzled by the headlight of the car behind me.

"cool
I think this mirror is still the best looking mirror.
It doesn't make it easier to see or anything, but it's expensive.
I would have gone with Shark Mirror 3, but they didn't seem to have it in stock.
Almost no difference from 3, except for the lack of bolt head covers and the markings in odd places.
I'm running with my Hexagonal Wrench until I decide on an adjustment. lol

FZ750 OEM ShapeMirror OEM
The OEM is no longer in business and there is no supply of new ones.
A few even lick around Oaktion Site.
Even if there are scratches, the price is very reasonable.
There was another OEM company, but I heard that the Mirror part is curved, so it is out of the question.
This item was not listed here, but I was relieved when I placed an order for it in the normal Mirror section.
The difference is the lack of Yamaha's Logo and the texture of the plastic part is a little worse. The color is a little bit blue. It is hard to tell from a distance.
We do not know how long the Manufacturer here will also be producing them, so if you don't mind the difference, we recommend it.
