Silencer of YZF-R6 is changed to Carbon!
[How is it used?
AKRAPOVICSlip-on SilencerMegaphone until now (Titanium) I had been using a Silencer, but after driving over 30,000km, I decided to change and makeover the Silencer for a change of pace.
Was the one you received as per Image?
Size seems to be similar to OEMSilencer.
The AKRAPOVIC product I had been using up to now was just a gold-attributed Pipe, so compared to that, the AKRAPOVIC product is large and different, and has a presence after installation.
I feel that the black carbon matches the black body of the car.
The inside of the Kan is straight and hollow, and the airy appearance of the exhaust is exciting.
Was the installation difficult?
Since it is a Slip-on Silencer, installation is easy.
If the OEM can be removed, it may be possible to install.
How was your experience with it?
Anyway, the sound is pleasant.
The sound quality has changed to bass, probably because of the change to CarbonMaterial.
I thought that the volume would be quieter because the silencer part would be larger, but the sound is uplifting, and I feel a fresh feeling that I cannot believe it is a motorcycle that has been with me for over 15 years!
I had thought that only a Full Exhaust System could give me a pleasant exhaust sound, but the system has betrayed me in a good way.
YZF-R6OEMExhaust pipe catalyst (a.k.a. Bento Box) I had felt the limitations of the Slip-on Silencer because of the presence of the, what is it? What is it, say, a horn on a musical instrument? Does it have the same effect as a wind instrument? The bass is accentuated and exaggerated, and it sounds great.
And it goes around pleasantly from bottom to top.
Fuel consumption naturally worsened, perhaps because of the reaction to the change in driving style, which turned pleasantly up to the top. (LOL) 。
The sound quality makes you want to rev the engine to high rpm.
However, it also has a Torque feel from below, and its performance is clearly different from that of the previous Gold genus Pipe.
Stop&go in the city is also easier to drive than before.

A pipe is included to connect the silencer body to the exhaust pipe.
It can be connected tightly with high accuracy.

Mounting bolt and nut were included, but they were made of a tasteless Stainless SteelSilverMaterial, so the bolt was replaced with a separately prepared one.

I installed it with a Bolt I had at home and the color is different, so I would like to replace it with a Titaniumium Bolt again sometime soon!

Sounds good.
I didn't have the money to purchase the Full Exhaust System, so I bought it anyway.
The result is a nice sound with more bass than expected.
The only drawback is that it is Aluminum, which is easily scratched.

Two Brothers
I had a Two Brothers muffler on a Yamaha YZF R1 RN12 05. The sound in them is loud, bassy, beautiful. Compared to my current Termignoni muffler, it is quiet compared to the Two Brothers. Carbon looks nice, but it's better to buy a titanium version. View detail

Impre and information are too few to decide, so it was impossible for me to buy inside. It would be great if you could refer to those under consideration. After ordering, the schedule to receive it was about a month later, but I received it in about two weeks. It was packed in a standard cardboard box in a set. I took the weight scale and measured the weight with the least information. Silencer part is about 1 on one side. 4? + Intermediate pipe in the rear part from the catalyst is 0. 4?=1. Was it 8?. 2 in total 3. Is it?. Measure the genuine muffler in the same way left side 7. 2? (long) + Right side 7. 0? (short) Totaling about 14. It was 2? So it was 10. Weight reduction of 6?. Well, although it's fixed, I am at the level of replacing the tail lamps and rear winkers of the falcons. I tried challenging thoughtfully to make a change by myself..
Loosen the nut of the band tightened behind the catalyst, remove the nut of the tandem step and pull it back to be able to detach easily. To install it, first insert the intermediate pipe, then temporarily set the band in the silencer part, insert it into the intermediate pipe, temporarily position it, turn around the tightening bolts and nuts of the silencer band back and look at the balance Once tightened, it was easy to install. Assembly accuracy made overseas (It's rude way of saying) I can not imagine it's pretty. Gasket was not necessary. I think that it is better to tighten firmly.
Next is the sound quality. I tried using the P1X golden color of the baffle optional two bra. Sound is not a level that is noisy and ridiculous, it emphasizes heavier bass than normal and it is a big motorcycle when idling. Turning from acceleration to high rotation, it is not a surprising sound compared to normal time, but it feels a little uncomfortable. (Although it can not be said anything because it is an individual subjectivity) When I installed Yoshimura Tri-oval 4 in 1 in Black Bird in the past, I was irritated with the sound quality inside the tunnel, but this product did not feel it. Also remarkable is that the overhang of the silencer part fits inside the tandem step. The manual is English, but there are pictures so I could understand it. I do not know what will happen to glass wool in the future, but it is safe because Matsumoto engineering can repair.

Installation was difficult, I could do it smoothly. The connection part of Tail Pipe and Silencer is fixed by Aluminum's solid parts and it is satisfying with good making for price. Also purchase P1 Power Tip. Compared with the first iron fitted, the thickness of the sound comes out and there is power.
With this sound, I wonder if the vehicle inspection first goes through. For this year's car inspection, we will try to receive it back to the iron one that was attached at the time of purchase at the trial. I think that it is an exhaust sound of a subtle location where it is made of iron. It is the bank angle that I was most interested in before purchasing, but it is the same as Normal muffler, only footpeg interferes with the ground at Corner.
I think that there are many people who are concerned about this, but as this product is installed and the bank angle never becomes shallow, relieve you. Total and I am very satisfied..

Evacuation pipe is short and exhaust heat is high
Depending on the color, a color tip of Power tip will occur.
A simple example
(1) After the Red color P1 traveled 300 km, it became a thin Pink like red soup juice.
(2) Gold color P1X runs 2,000 km but there was no noticeable discoloration.
The color of Others is unconfirmed.
In addition, the material attached to the Power tip : Rubber's Seal Ring (?) but,
