Rust Bucket
Total waste of money. Vance & Hines will not refund money for this piece of cheap steel. West Coast crooks. Lasted 2 months, then tossed in trash. Bought an Arrow and so happy with it! View detail
Don't buy this exhaust!
Unfortunately, I bought it. the exhaust was already corroded upon delivery! the shipment was very poorly secured for transport. A rust-colored fluid is leaking from the end exhaust connection. the exhaust is too loud in certain engine speed ranges, it is poorly tuned. The manufacturer's response is simply ridiculous: "1. As the exhaust is heat cycled, the metal will expand and contract. So it will have a slight leak when the exhaust is brand new. Over time this will seal itself with carbon build up and the metal will expand/contract together. 2. The inside of the pipe is not ceramic coated, as this would discolor and flake anyways. The surface rust is nothing to worry about. Any loose surface rust will blow out of the exhaust as you ride." The leak continued. The factory exhaust is installed exactly the same, and there is no leakage or corrosion. I'm sure that in a few thousand kilometers the entire rear of the bike will be covered in rusty dust. High Stainless Steel Slip On Exhaust from Vance & Hines
* About quality and texture, Beautiful brushed stainless steel finish header pipe and muffler with a black CNC machined billet end cap. * About the feeling of use, This slip on exhaust has a deep throaty note while still retaining the OEM Honda emission complaint portion of the header pipe. * Products to buy together, An aftermarket air intake will definitely want to be purchased along with an exhaust, Kitaco have a great one on offer at the best price around. * Difficulty of installation, Being just a slip on exhaust and not a full exhaust system does make the Vance & Hines easier to install. The process was completed in 60 minutes with little difficultly. * Cost performance and comparison with other products, The Vance & Hines slip on exhaust is much more expensive then other slip on and comes at even a higher cost then some full exhaust system which is disappointing but it is still definitely worth the money for the quality finish and additional chassic cover included. * About shipping and packaging, I am happy to wait 6 weeks on average for my parts to arrive in Sydney Australia via Webike's sea freight which comes with tracking and insurance so I know I'm covered in case something was to go wrong but with there outstanding bubble wrapping and boxing there have been no problems. * Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing, If you want a performance exhaust to get the most out of your engine then this is not the exhaust for you but if you want a cool lookng exhaust that sounds mean and stays emission complaint then give it a try.
