It looks natural, like it was already there.

There are various types of sliders and guards, but this time we installed a guard on both sides of the engine.
I don't want to test the effect too much, but first of all, I think it will be grounded first because it sticks out more properly than EngineUnit.
The foundation is made of Plate and Pipe of the genus Gold, and is attached to the frame, creating a certain degree of rigidity.
In addition, the gold plastic finisher with the Yamaha logo and the decorative spacer reduce the ruggedness that is often seen in the Guard and make it a stylish Yamaha-like product.
I don't want to be a burden to you, but I think it is a good choice to stock up on them as a fallback plan.
One point, the bolt at the stopping point on the front side of the vehicle may need to be Torque managed properly.

I ran about 100 km.
As soon as you get on board, you can feel that, ah, things have changed.
It is not so much that vibration is reduced, but rather that the rigidity around the Frame has been increased several notches.
In Winding, the grips on the rear tires have improved and the front and rear suspension seems to have started working well.
On the other hand, the Retro-chic dullness of SR400 disappears, so a consideration is necessary.
As others have said, I think the stiffness up stiffness is Stress for Main for city driving.
I don't know if I can recommend it.

However, the mounting part is also the part that makes the car run smoothly, so it is important to keep it in place.
I think Shock absorber is doing its job....
The rest of the time, I think it is highly evaluated as fashion parts because of its good appearance and processing.

Mostly satisfied!
In city driving, I can no longer feel the vibration to my buttocks at traffic lights. On the highway, I could feel the difference from before the installation. No discrepancy, performance?

Upgrading a Frame
YAMAHA's liveried Performance damper.
Installation can be done without any problem as per the Instruction Manual. However, it is necessary to prepare TorqueT50 with anti-torque protection.
Personal impressions after installation
Dumping ability of the vehicle as a whole is increased! Impacts from disturbances from the ground, etc. are clearly reduced. In addition, the vibration of the car body (my Racer is around the footpeg) is also reduced.
For some people, the Rider's input is also damped by the Minus point, which dampens the impact to the body etc. To get the best mobility, it is necessary to be aware of the input with a good balance. However, once you get used to it, it will not become a large problem.

I bought it out of curiosity and enthusiasm when I saw a Performance damper for sale that could be attached to the Tor Racer I use for medium to long distance touring.
Was the one you received as per Image?
The performance damper itself is a Yamaha Universal Product. The damper itself is a YamahaUniversal Product (or maybe the contents are slightly different?), so I had seen it on other cars before, so it was exactly as I had imagined.
Was the installation difficult?
A helpful and illustrated Instruction Manual is included in the package, so you can install it without any problems if you read it carefully.
How was your experience with it?

Installed on 2021 Yamaha XT250. Fits perfectly.
Post-install first ride impressions: For city riding, I did not feel any difference in the ride. I felt the same handlebar and seat vibrations as I did pre-install. I sped up to 40 mph. While going over bumps, I felt the bike was a bit stiffer, but I do not know if it actually was, or if I just felt that it was, because that is what Yamaha’s demo video demonstrated that it would be. Perhaps it was just a biased psychological feeling. Based on the high-cost of this mod, for city riding, I would not recommend the Yamaha Performance Damper, because there is no noticeable difference in the ride. I have not ridden it on a highway above 40 mph, so I am not in a position to comment on that. We either trust Yamaha, or we do not. There is no in between. It fits the body of the car very well.
I've never had a fall before, but I installed it just in case. It is very stylish unlike the rugged guards. It does not stand out and is not too assertive, which makes me feel as if it was on this car from the beginning.

Processing is a pain.
I installed it on my Giorno OEM VINO.
I used a hot knife to cut off the Under Cover.
I don't go for Beauty. It's a compromise because it's almost invisible.
However, the convenience is still very different without it.
