ESTRELLA's Crying Place
I started Restore of ESTRELLA, which was immobilized after I stopped riding it.
I was looking for the cause of the problem I felt at the time I was riding and was concerned about the restoration of the engine.
One of the causes we considered and replaced was the Piston ring.

Simply put, it is the Seal of compressed Gas.
The Piston ring acts as a seal when compressing the fuel/air mixture inside the Engine's Cylinder. 。 This maintains the pressure in the combustion chamber and keeps the Engine's Power.
Why did you think it was a Piston ring? ◆Why did you think of Piston ring?
*Looks like it's going up Oil.
Oil is running high...White smoke from the exhaust system while driving and engine oil is running low.
This is a symptom of oil wear→ Oil leaking from the gap between the Piston and Cylinder. Then, it is possible that the Oil leaks to the outside.
Here, we replaced it with an OEM product, not a low-priced external product, etc.
Piston ring replacement procedure
(1) Remove the cylinder head.
If you drop the Camshaft Chain down, you will have to lower it below the waist, so it is better to hang it with a needle gold with tension.
↓
(2) Remove the Ring of the Stopper with radio pliers and pull out the Piston Pin.
↓
(3) After the Clip is removed, press the inside Pin from the inside to easily pull it out and remove the Piston. 。
(4) Take out the old ring. It is deformed rather than chipped.
(5) Ring is correctly set to Quantity.:Set and Install 。 The order is ExpanderRing → top and bottom SteelRail→ Top ring→ SecondRing.
? Simply assemble in reverse order.
[After exchange]
White smoke from the Exhaust System is gone.
It seems that the Oil uplift was the right way to look at it.
However, the oil leakage does not seem to have stopped.
I would like to start on the next part.
The clearance between the cylinder and piston is very small (around 0.1mm), but this small gap makes it impossible to compress the air mixture and receive combustion pressure without loss.
It seems that there are many cases of malfunctions in ESTRELLA's Initial Model (90's), and one of them is oil leakage.
Initial Model's Piston ring is thin and has low strength.
If you suspect oil leakage as well as oil rise, you should consider replacement.
Oil leaks have not gone away yet, so next we will look at the Camshaft Chain Tensioner.

I have never been led astray on any yamaha oem part and when it came time to split the cases for a bottom end rebuild I added the oem piston kit (does require case split to install the oil sprayer). I put a scratch on it, so I am repurchasing it because I can buy the same OEM ProductSticker.
Perhaps it is because it is not that inexpensive, but it is properly protected and packed with cardboard.
It helps that HondaOEM Product sells the same thing, but every time I buy it, I wish it were cheaper because it is a Sticker.

To correct rattling of Pedal in Rear Sets
Quantity of 1-positionRear Sets in FAZE before.:Pair (for Left and Right) The included Wave washer to prevent rattling of the pedal was not well-seasoned, so it was very soft and rattled easily. I put this YAMAHAOEM Wave washer in and it worked perfectly.:Pair (for Left and Right) I bought two for two minutes.
Incidentally, COERCE's Rear Sets are probably manufactured by the same manufacturer as FAZE, so I believe this part can also be used.

Genuine Yamaha Screw Set for YZF-R6 2006
I needed to replace the front brake screw set as it the original were failing and the head was mashed nd this did not make the bike look good at all, I decided I would change these for OEM screws as they fit with the age and how it looks on the bike. I went for the standard OEM Yamaha ones as this is what would look best by far. The correct parts was found using the tools Webike provide and cross referencing with Yamaha's own schematics. Best price ever for this set of screws and better than I could source locally. With some other parts in my order, all were shipped together with EMS and arrived in perfect condition in 5 days from shipping. The parts were well packed and no damage was sustained during transit. The screws that were on the bike had gotten a little chewed up but these are absolutely perfect and make the bike now look a lot better. Yamaha Master Cylinder used on YZF-R1 2018
I got this as a replacement for the one that was already fitted to the R1 2018 but the seals had stared to go and the front brake was not holding as it should. The ones I have seen here are not great so I wanted to just get a fresh new Yamaha part so I jk ow it will work as it originally should do. I already have access to the Yamaha parts catalogue and this meant finding the right master cylinder was not difficult at all. The price Webike had this for was a bit of a surprise actually and lots better value that where I would usually get my parts from. The shipping cost was pretty good too and I used Fedex as I have used them may times beofre with no issues. My part arrived in about 6 days if I remember correctly. The master cylinder was packed well inside a large amount of wadding inside the outer box. The master cylinder with it being the same as I had just removed went on really fast and once I bled it all up, the front brake now works better than I remember and obviously, this is how is should work. The finish of the master cylinder is weird as it has a texture going off but this feels really nice. Well made part. View detail

Genuine Yamaha Diapragm Reservoir Gasket for FZ8 2012
The old reservoir diaphragm was not in the greatest of condition when checking the fluid for maintenance. There was a noticible split in part of it and this is no doubt why the braking was useless on this bike. I was not going to leave it like that so decided to get a brand new one from Webike. The part was easy to find using the tools Webike provide and cross referencing with Yamaha schemaics for my own assurance. The price was excellent and better than I could surce locally. Shipped with EMS all my parts arrived in 5 days from shipping. The diaphragm came in teh usual Yamaha packet and aslo inside a bubble wrap encelope for safety. The diaphragm itself is a lovely moulded piece. Very supple and maliable which is of course needed to cope with the constant preseures of the brake fluid. Not too hard to fit as it is just a straight swap out. Now all back together, the brakes now work as they should. Give it a week and I will also bleed the brakes again. Genuine NGK Spark Plug for Yamaha YZ250F 2018
This is a racing spark plug for the YZ250F 2018. We decided we would try a racing plug for a change to see if there was any difference in performance. Finding the correct plug was not super hard as I already have a bookmark for NGK website and that way it's easy. Webike's price for this part was very good value. A lot lower than I could source locally here in the UK. With some other parts in my basket and shipped by EMS all arrived in 5 days.EMS are good value, very fast in delivering and better than some other couriers. All the items in my order were packed individually by Webike warehouse and all nicely padded out in the box so nothing could get damaged in transit and fill any space with bubble wrap and air pockets so nothing can be bounced about in transit. All arrived at my door perfectly. Didn't take too long to fit, pretty straightforward, after all it's a spark plug. Take your time and you will be just fine. These gaskets are solid.
Ultimate kit for my CRF250R. Turned it into a competitive weapon. The cylinder gaskets that Oem provide with are very good quality. I had to replace my head gasket due to overheating and blowing it, I think it blew because I got too much oil on the stud when I lowered them in and it got on the head gasket and leached under it. The new gaskets worked great since.but with as hot as my bike was running, I'm glad the gasket blew before anything else did!! View detail
