You should pay attention to them from time to time.
Kick start, synonymous with SR400.
The Kick Arm that I have been using for many years still seems to work, but I feel fatigue (Gold fatigue), and if it breaks in the future, I will no longer be able to apply Engine, so I renewed it.
Kick start
‥To start Motorcycle and other Engines using Kick starter.
What is Motorcycle's Kick starter? ]
The electricity from the battery is used to rotate the Cell Motor, and the engine is started by the power of the Cell Motor. Cell start In contrast, the Rider's own kicking force is used to start the Engine. Kick start." is 。
The benefits of Kick start.
No burden on the battery.
Cell start motorcycles use electricity from the battery when starting, but kick start motorcycles do not require electricity when starting. Therefore, the battery is not burdened, and battery buildup can be suppressed. In addition, even if the battery does run up, the Kick start motorcycle can start the engine manually, which can be helpful in an emergency.
However, if the engine displacement volume is a CUB or something like that, there is also a demerit for Kick start.
[Demerit]
If the force to step down on the Kick pedal at the start is insufficient, not only does the Kick start fail, but the Kick pedal may jump up in the opposite direction with great force. The so-called Ketin." Ya Kickback." This phenomenon is called "ketchin". When kettling occurs, some Risks are hit hard on the shin or other parts of the body by the Kick pedal that has bounced up, causing them to faint in agony.
Ketching Prevention
There are two ways to prevent kettling:using Decompression or not using Decompression.
. How to use Decompression."
The KICK pedal is then lowered vigorously and the engine is applied.
. How to do it without Decompression.
After returning the Kick pedal completely to the top, step down the Kick pedal to the bottom again to start the engine. 。 This is the basic way to hang an Engine using Kick starter.
Kick pedal and Kick Arm.
There are some precautions to be taken when installing the product.
This is the relationship with the Pedal position.
If you are replacing the footpeg with an external footpeg, the Arm itself has less clearance, so there will be interference→at that time, please return to the OEM footpeg.
The OEM footpeg is too large and interferes with the exhaust system. →Kick Arm is OEM.
Replacement is not difficult, since all you have to do is remove the bolt attached to the base of the Kick Arm and replace it.
However, the place where the Arm fits is geared, so be sure to insert it properly aligned with the gears.

Genuine Honda Front Indicator Assembly for MSX125 2017
This was purchased due to a small fall and the front and rear indicators got some damage. The correct part was a little tricky to find as the Honda schematics aer not perfectly clear, but I got the right one in the end. The original part number was now superseded to this newer version free of charge by Webike, so that was nice. The cost of the assembly was slightly cheaper than could be sourced locallly but the local dealer did not have this in stock. I also added a few other parts needed for this repair to my order and this meant the cost of shipped was good value. My orde rarrived in 5 days from being shipped and everything was in 100% perfect order. The indicator assembly came in the Honda box and was wrapped in a padded material. The assembly itself is well made and all the joints to the lens are spot on. The lens is crystal clear orange but looks amazing. The connector was kept safe too and it was just a plug and play fitment. Very pleased with this purchase. Thanks Webike. View detail

OEM is practical.
I have tried many different Grips, but I have never had an OEMGrip on me.
It had an external Grip on it when I bought it, and I didn't like it and changed it as soon as I could (laughs).
But recently, I've been thinking more about practicality and decided to try OEMGrip.
What is Motorcycle Grip?
Grip, the point of contact between rider and motorcycle 。
The amount of operational stress that can be eliminated is critical to maintain safety and to achieve the desired level of driving performance. 。
[Grip type
.......Grip has Penetrating." When Non-Penetrating." There are two types of 。 If you use Bar End, select Pierced Type; if not, select Non-Penetrating. (Note that removing the Bar End will increase the vibration of the Handlebar.)
→BTW, the OEM of SR400 is Non-Penetrating.
Closed End has a difference in thickness from Pierced Type that uses Bar End.
Closed End has thicker and thicker grips in many cases.
The advantage of thicker grips.
The thinner the grip, the easier it is to transmit vibration to the hand, but the thicker the grip, the harder it is to absorb and transmit vibration.
Therefore, it can be said that the thicker the better if the main goal is to reduce fatigue by not transmitting vibration.
→If SR400 has a lot of vibration, it is best to choose a thicker one.
However, it may be too thick and interfere with the control system, so you should choose one that fits each hand.
OEM→s for everyone, so it's not too thick, and it also reduces vibration in its own way.
Grip is also consumable.
...Motorcycle Handlebar Grip Over time, Rubber has lost weight. It's getting sticky." and Timing is due for replacement.
Since the grips are large parts that are held while driving, if the rubber is worn out, it is difficult to make a quick move, which can lead to danger.
I thought about replacing it because I felt that the grip was getting weaker. There is no hard-and-fast replacement time because the temperature and usage conditions vary, but when the rubber becomes thin and a little sticky when you grip it, it might be a good time to consider replacing it.
Replacement is easy.
(1) Spray the gap between the grip and handlebar with Parts cleaner.
↓
(2) Insert a slotted screwdriver from there.
↓
(3) While spraying Parts cleaner, insert the slotted screwdriver to the depth.
↓
(4) The adhesive can be peeled off by turning the Driver once.
↓
(5) Pull out.
↓
(6) Apply adhesive to the Handlebar or Throttle cone and press the new Grip into place.
〜After replacement
Easy to grip, especially the Clutch operation.
○ Fine Accelerator operation is possible.
Vibration seems to be suppressed there as well.
It may be no surprise that Grip also considered this when designing the product, so there can be no mistake.
It is not as glamorous as Other Brand Products, but if it works practically in the same price range, OEM seems to be a possibility.

Blinker's blinking malfunction is one of the first things to suspect.
I have been doing a lot of maintenance work, but I have not touched the electrical system much at all, so I decided to take this opportunity to do maintenance work.
Blinker stopped blinking and,
It vibrates a lot, and the bulb often goes out, and sometimes the battery is weak, but I suspected the blinker relay, since it had just been renewed.
What is Blinker relay?
Blinker relay is a component that operates the blinking of the direction indicator installed in cars and motorcycles. 。 Also known as a "flasher relay," it enables blinking at regular intervals by switching an electrical signal on and off.
Blinker relay seems to have different usage and characteristics between external and OEM.
Blinker relay outside the company
[OEMBlinker relay
The Blinker relay of the ManufacturerOEM is designed to match the power consumption of the OEM Halogen bulb, and when the Blinker Valve is turned off, it will detect the change in power consumption and will flash Polished and High flasher to inform the user. The Blinker relay is designed to match the power consumption of Halogen bulbs in OEMs.
→In my case, I don't intend to change to LED, and I prefer to keep Halogen, so I will replace the OEMBlinker relay as it is.
What are the symptoms of a bad Blinker relay? What is a Flasher relay (Blinker relay)? Blinker blinks at regular intervals." Parts. 。 When the flasher relay fails, The Blinker is still on. Blinker won't stick." Symptoms such as
And if you leave it as it is, it will break.
When it breaks.
The wire is disconnected and the Headlight and Blinker do not turn on when the Switch is turned on.
By the way, in my case.
Flashes normally when Idling 。
When the Engine is revved up, it sometimes flashes irregularly. 。
Flashes irregularly at higher RPMs than at constant RPMs. 。
→I'll replace it while it's still irregular...it would be troublesome if it gets disconnected...(laughs)
How to exchange
Remove ?Seat.
↓
The Blinker relay is a black square Matchbox-like component with a small Elastic band on the bottom of the Seat.
↓
(3) Coupler removes the old Blinker relay and simply inserts the new Blinker relay.
〜After replacement
Incorrect blinking has been resolved.
I was relieved that the wire was not disconnected (laughs).
In such cases, it may be a good idea to replace the Blinker relay first, because the parts cost is low and the work is simple and can be done on an individual Level.

This is also useful for this.
The Center Stand was recently renewed, and at that time, the Side Stand was also replaced because it was quite damaged.
I thought that the Center Stand is useful for maintenance by myself and the Side Stand is a simple stopper, but......it seems not so. 。
What is Motorcycle's Side Stand?
The Side Stand is located under the body of the MotorcycleLeft Side. 。 The Center Stand allows you to park your motorcycle in an upright position.
You→re often in and out with the Left foot. 。
With the Center Stand, you have to get off the vehicle, grab the seat and handlebar, and stand up using the lever principle.
It's a self-serving Image,
Side Stand→ stability.
Center Stand→ firm and stable 。
The Image is a "Side Stand", but it seems that Side Stand has its own unique Merit.
Merit of Side Stand
◎If you use the Center Stand when strong winds are blowing in a typhoon, the Motorcycle will be pushed by the wind and the Tire will float, reducing the ground contact area and making it easier for the Motorcycle to fall over. 。 By using the Side Stand instead of the Center Stand, you can stabilize the vehicle body by supporting the front wheel, Side Stand, and rear wheel at three points. 。
◎Earthquake resistant (in my experience)
◎Putting the Side Stand in the upright position when two people are riding together will prevent the back passenger from losing balance and falling over when he/she puts his/her weight on the footpeg.
◎In Japan, cars and motorcycles are driven on the Left Side of the road, so it is easier to get in and out of them if they are parked on the shoulder of the road and the vehicle is leaning on the Left Side in Side Stand.
It is safer because you don't have to go out on the side of the roadway.
[Demerit]
Strength
Center Stand→ Large load-bearing area.
Side Stand→ Pinpoint the area that will receive the load.
Strength is concerned because the load to the load-bearing area is not dispersed but concentrated.
How to exchange
(1) Use Center Stand (or Jack if you don't have one) to keep the car body vertical.
↓
(2) Remove the old Side Stand (with Spring).
↓
(3) Remove and clean Spring.
↓
(4) Attach Spring to the new Side Stand.
↓
(5) Installation.
important point
*If your vehicle is not lowdown, you should not use Short Stand or something like that. It is not stable on the contrary because there is not much tilt.
*Check the Center Stand Sensor under the Engine to make sure it is working properly.

I think it is an elaborately designed OEMMirror.
I would love to have a stylish Mirror for ESTRELLA, but I have returned my SR400 to OEM Mirror, and I have reaffirmed the visibility and safety of OEM Mirror, so I have decided to buy another OEM Mirror for ESTRELLA as well.
ESTRELLA's OEMMirror, Quantity:Pair (for Left and Right) to
[Motorcycle Back Mirror]
... can check the back of the Motorcycle. Back Mirror is a safe way to travel. Security Parts 。
For motorcycles with a maximum speed of 50 km/h or more, the Quantity:Pair (for Left and Right) s Back Mirror is not installed, it is subject to violation of the Road Traffic Law.
Mirror is a must for Motorcycle.
Back Mirror is indispensable to check the backward direction while driving a motorcycle.
Considering the current traffic situation, there are many cases where it is dangerous not to check the rear of the vehicle, and it is a very important security component.
And if you don't wear Mirror, you will be punished with Gold as a violation.
Mirror safety standards
...Motorcycle's mirror surface area is more than 69 square centimeters 。 If the Mirror is circular, the diameter must be between 94mm and 150mm to comply with the safety standard.
Mirror mirror surface area, regardless of shape, must be at least 69?! 。 For example, 70mm×100mm is OK, but 70mm×90mm has an area of 63?, which is ? in terms of safety standards. 。 For a square, 83mm×83mm is ? at 68.89?.
(Since it is a 250, it is not subject to inspection, but in the rare case that it is stopped by the police on a public road, it will be subject to improper maintenance as a vehicle with unauthorized modifications. 。 He said that it would be policed as an illegal modification, Gold, a penalty of up to six months in prison or 300,000 yen. I'm not sure if it's a good idea. →It's pretty tough...there's been a lot of enforcement lately, so you have to be careful.
And Mirror is only one ?.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, "Motorcycles exceeding 50 km/h are Quantity:Pair (for Left and Right) Both Sides must have 1 pc. each of the posterior mirrors."
Quantity:Pair (for Left and Right) I was certainly surprised at how much easier it was to see the "A" on the "B".
[Visibility] Safety Standards We want to focus on such things as the OEM.
【good point】
◎Rounded rectangular shape Mirror.
Design is good when considered as OEM.
Visibility is of course there. The blind spots seem to have been reduced.
I like the ◎Plating is beautiful and suits the car body.
[Bad point]
The design is so delicate that it can be loosened by vibration (laughs).
▲Steel, so worry about rust. Please wipe it with a blister.
The concept of ESTRELLA Motorcycle is Retro, and I have the impression that it is a well-designed Mirror even if we consider it as an OEM.
It is easy to see, and this shape can be used with the Quantity:Pair (for Left and Right) I think Parenthesis is a good idea even if you put it on.

Prepare for the unexpected.
When I bought the vehicle used, it had been changed to an external Switch and did not have a Kill Switch.
At the time of purchase, I did not think the kill switch was that important, but when I understood the meaning of the switch, I thought it would be a good idea to put it on and decided to install an OEM kill switch.
What is Kill switch?
‥ A Switch that stops the required Engine when it is directly connected Wiring. →The one that forces Engine to stop.
And it seems that the Kill switch was originally equipped for Race vehicles.
It used to be a piece of equipment on Race vehicles.
The old 2-stoke racing machine etc. did not have a battery, but only the power generation function of the Engine, and since the Engine is started by “pushing”, it is not equipped with a Cell starter, and if it is for Race cars, it is not equipped with an Ignition key. The engine is not equipped with a cell starter because it has to be pushed & rdquo; to start the engine. This means that a switch”is needed to stop the engine at the end of the run, and that is the Kill switch.
In the case of racing machines, an important reason why a kill switch is necessary is that in the event of a fall or accident, the engine may not stop and the tires may continue to rotate, which would interfere with rider rescue and machine removal operations, as well as pose a risk of igniting leaked gasoline. There is also the danger of igniting leaked Gasoline. 。
In such an emergency, we needed a kill switch that could instantly stop the engine.
This is also the case for four-wheeled races, which are required to be equipped with a kill switch on the outside of the vehicle body so that the course marshal can stop the engine from the outside even if the driver is injured or otherwise unable to stop the engine.
It seems like a device to be used in an emergency state, but as a general Rider.
In what situations would it be used?
[Occasions of use.
→Motorcycle when it falls over.
When→Throttle system failure occurs.
and used in emergencies such as
As for situations where it can be used outside of an emergency situation,
Example:For example, at a toll gate on a toll road, if you stop at a toll gate and immediately stop the engine with the Kill switch while keeping the GEAR in first gear, you can remove both hands from the handlebar without emitting Neutral, making it easier to take out the wallet, etc.
→ To re-start, simply hold Clutch and press the Cell button to start the engine (this method is also convenient for long traffic light waits, etc., as it eliminates the need to exit Neutral).
2.Kill switch installation
It is recommended to spray the inside of the coupler of the Kill switch to be replaced with a contact resister for protection.
Pass the wiring of the Kill switch through the designated position.
How do I install Kill switch?
Remove (1) Seat and Side cover.
↓
(2) Remove the Minus terminal from the battery. 。
↓
(3) Plug in the Coupler of the Kill switch.
↓
(4) Tie Wrapetc. so that Wiring does not get tangled and SwitchBody comes to the RightHandlebar.
↓
(5) Tighten the screws at the bottom of the SwitchBody.
↓
(6) Connect the Battery with the Minus terminal disconnected, put back the Seat and Side cover, and finish.
Check the operation.
Kill switch note...
Note that if you forget to turn off the kill switch and turn off the ignition key when parking the car (i.e., leave the key on), the battery will run up.
If used correctly, it is a device that can avoid the worst in the event of an emergency, so it is safer to have it on.

I think those who do maintenance will feel the benefit.
When you park a Motorcycle, you often say STAND, don't you?
There are Center Stand and Side Stand in STAND,
In this case, the Center Stand was rusted and I was worried about it, so I will replace it.
What is Center Stand?
The Center Stand is a stand that allows you to park your motorcycle in a more stable and upright position than the Side Stand. 。 It is useful for parking bicycles for long periods of time and for maintenance.
The Center Stand looks and feels firmer and heavier than the Side Stand, but what kind of merit or demerit does it have?
[Merit]
(1) Because the vehicle can be parked in an upright position, there is no burden on the tires during maintenance or when storing the motorcycle for a long period of time. 。 Indoors, where there is no wind influence, there is less Space for storage.
The motorcycle driven by the drive chain needs to be adjusted, checked, and lubricated on a daily basis. Especially when checking and adjusting the slackness of the chain, if you stand the motorcycle on the Center Stunt, you can do the work quickly without jack-up time or using special tools.
Center Stand can be said to be a STAND that can take the place of Jack. 。 Since the rear wheel is floating, puncture repair can be started simply by setting up the STAND. It is said that the rear wheel is the easiest to puncture in front and rear tires, and when the Center Stand is set up, the rear wheel floats, making it easy to find and repair punctures.
The work related to the rear wheel, such as adjustment or replacement of the rear suspension, replacement of the sprocket, and replacement of the drum brake shoes, can be done with or without the Center Stand, depending on whether or not the Center Stand is installed. In addition, it is very useful for bikers who want to maintain their motorcycles by themselves, such as oil replacement, oil filter replacement, and brake fluid replacement, because the chassis is standing straight.
If you look at it in terms of doing→maintenance, there's a lot of Merit, but there's also Demerit.
[Demerit]
If you use the Center Stand when strong winds are blowing in a typhoon, the motorcycle will be pushed by the wind and the tires will float, reducing the ground contact area and making it easier for the motorcycle to topple over. 。
The solution is to use the Side Stand instead of the Center Stand, which stabilizes the vehicle body by supporting the front wheel, Side Stand, and rear wheel at three points.
In my case, I put the GEAR in first gear with the + there and park it so the Tire doesn't move! 。
Installation method ~ESTRELLA~.
(1) Jack-up to float the body.
↓
(2) Spring with Cover, (It's fucking hard...)
↓
(3) Hang the Spring on the Body and hang it on the Motorcycle side.
↓
(4) Align the bolt holes and insert the driver into one of the holes. (Insert and tighten the Bolt while shaking the other hole with the bolt (to prevent gapping). 。
↓
Insert the pin.
The assembly itself was not difficult, but the springs were hard and it was very difficult to assemble.
■ After replacement
◎Maintainability has improved considerably 。
I feel that the weight of the STAND and the fact that the STAND is stored in the center of the car body may be contributing to the stability of the car body.
▲Bank angle is obviously reduced. → If you lean the vehicle too much to turn, it will rub.
However, I think that the increased maintainability is a major merit, since the vehicle is not an aggressive type of motorcycle.

Prevents Oil leakage.
The so-called DrainWasher.
If the washer, which keeps the oil sealed, is damaged, it can cause oil leakage.
In the unlikely event that the DrainWasher is crushed too much and engine oil is added, all the engine oil will flow out and be wasted.
What is DrainWasher? ]
DrainPacking is a part that is mainly used for oil extraction bolt of automobiles, and is inserted between oil pan and drain bolt to improve sealing and prevent oil leakage. 。 Since the shape differs from manufacturer to manufacturer, various types are available for each company. 。 Once used, it is deformed and must not be reused.
→Drain bolt crushes when tightened and acts as a seal between Bolt.
[The role of the DrainWasher is].
■DrainWasher, which is the focus of attention when changing Motorcycle Oil, differs from them in its role of increasing confidentiality and preventing oil leaks.
Basically, it cannot be reused.
Replace every time when replacing Oil.
Suppose we continue to reuse DrainWasher as is.
The following dangers may also arise
[Possible hazards].
Since the DrainWasher will no longer be sealed.
→ Inevitably, Oil leakage will occur.
→ White smoke while driving or Engine does not run well.
→ leave it alone and Oil will be low.
→Engine oil can become very hot and damage the Engine.
In the worst case scenario, the Engine will have to be replaced, so the DrainWasher is a very large component.
The replacement procedure, by the way, is done at the time of oil replacement.
First, the car body,
*Prepare an oil pan under the Engine while the car body is cold.
Loosen the drain bolt.
Counterclockwise will disengage.
It is attached to the underside of the Large Body, Engine, and Crank.
↓
(2) Remove the Oil.
Remove the drain bolt by turning it slowly counterclockwise by hand.
Washer is attached to the drain bolt.
This Washer becomes the DrainWasher.
↓
(3) Engine oil flows vigorously at first, but gradually the flow weakens and the oil in the engine is let out by tilting the body of the vehicle to let the oil fall out.
↓
(4) Replace the washer attached to the drain bolt with a new washer.
If you remove dirt (oil adhesion) from the drain bolt at that time, you can get a good result.
↓
(5) When the bolt becomes a drop, insert the drain bolt with the washer attached and tighten it by turning it clockwise with the Glasses Wrench.
↓
?Tightening Torque is 30-40N-m.
The feeling of turning off a faucet with one hand as hard as you can. 。
Be careful not to tighten the drain bolt too hard or the oil pan may be damaged.
↓
(7) After tightening the bolts, wipe the dirty areas around the drain bolts with Parts Cleaner and Dustcloth.
[Notes]
When removing the drain bolt, the MONKEY Wrench→○Glasses Wrench is recommended because it is longer and requires less force than the MONKEY Wrench because of its length. 。
The "Drain bolt" can be tightened "clockwise " and loosened " semi-clockwise. It is possible that you are actually tightening the screws while trying to remove them without realizing it. (From experience) Check before applying force.
DrainWasher should be replaced every time.
And then, substitute diversion with a car model-specific or size-matching one.
The DrainWasher fills the gap between the drain bolt and the engine, and should not be reused because it collapses under tightening to maintain a tight seal.
It is modest, but it is really a Large cut.

This time, we are going to Restore the suspension of SR400.
I had installed an external Spring, but I don't need that much for SR400, so I installed an OEM Spring as well as Overhaul.
Motorcycle suspension is an image of Large body rear suspension...what is a front fork?
Front fork is important for motorcycles.
‥ Front fork is an important part for safe motorcycle operation. 。
Action
The front fork is the suspension of the front and is used to absorb shocks and improve steering performance.
It absorbs shock so that it does not shake when it picks up Gap on the road surface, suppresses the Front from going out of control (losing balance) during Corner ring, and also affects Breaking.
Reduced sinking behavior when front wheel Brake is applied.
→ Front area is responsible for the balance of the vehicle body. 。
In the case of large bodies, the front of the fork will fail due to the deterioration of the oil filled in the fork, called fork oil, but if the spring deteriorates and becomes worn out....

Front is out of control during ▲Corner.
▲Front goes out of control at high speed. 。
→In my case, I felt the shaking when I went over a bump and the jiggle of the Corner ring, so I considered replacing it.
Some people say that as long as the front oil is removed and renewed, it is not necessary to replace the springs, but springs are also consumables, so they cannot be completely replaced.
[Spring's lifespan].
Most vehicles with a mileage (depending on how they are driven) of over 40,000 km are beyond the limit of use. 。 If the front end is sunken (you can't tell unless you put the same car side by side), or if it bottoms out when fully braked, it may be time to replace it.
I've changed to an external spring, but it feels like it's worn out, and when I grip the front brake it sinks a lot, so I'm not sure if that's the limit of the replacement.
Incidentally, the front fork oil seemed to have a life span of 10,000 to 20,000 km.
After much research, it seems that OEMSpring and external Spring are unlikely to benefit from Spring itself, so we decided to use OEM.

If you think about it in the long term, we recommend replacement.
I was looking at ESTRELLA's Fuel Cock, and I was wondering about SR400 too.
I'm not seeing any glitches at this point, but I'm concerned that there may be some in the near future.
This one is also dirty near the Fuel Cock, I could see Gasoline seepage, so let's replace it!
I feel like I should just replace the internal Packing, but I decided to replace it still wanting to continue to ride.
Like ESTRELLA, SR is also a negative pressure carburetor.
Fuel Cock (Negative Pressure Cook)
...Cook is a Fuel Cock that uses air pressure.
The Motorcycle is divided into Parts called Fuel Tank (Fuel Tank) and Fuel Cock (Fuel Cock) that connects the Carburetor.
Cook's Place.
The parts called "Fuel Cock" are attached to the bottom of the fuel tank.
Applies to vehicles equipped with a Reserve Fuel Tank.
Mainly Carburetor cars.
How Fuel Cock works.
It is generated when the engine is running and the air mixture is inhaled. "Negative pressure" Gasoline flows through the open valve by

Internal packing damage due to age-related deterioration.
*Packing is mainly Material:Deterioration occurs due to constant contact with Rubber and Gasoline.
I think this is also the case for SR400.
A simple explanation is that Cook = faucet.
You know how sometimes you find water leaking even though you've tightened it properly?
Material inside:It leaks because the RubberPacking has deteriorated and is no longer sealed.
Although the replacement is not large, there are many steps involved.
How to Replace Motorcycle Fuel Cock ~SR400~

Idling, replace if you are worried about starting.
Restore of ESTRELLA still ongoing.
We have done various things to improve the starting performance, such as a new cell starter and adjusting the carburetor, but we also wanted to make it even better, so we replaced the ignition coil.
I'm not complaining about some better starting and Idling, but I wanted to fix or replace the areas of concern while I'm at it.
What is Motorcycle's Ignition coil?
Ignition coil is a device that boosts the battery voltage to tens of thousands of volts required for the spark discharge of the ignition plug. 。
The Ignition coil consists of a primary coil and a secondary coil with different numbers of turns. The battery voltage causes the primary coil to generate a magnetic field, which in turn generates an induction voltage of several tens of thousands of volts in the secondary coil.
The role of the Ignition coil.
Ignition coil is one of the components to start the Engine, and is a device that generates very high voltage.
The engine cannot run without the ignition coil, which produces power by burning a gas mixture made by compressing the inhaled air and gasoline.
→Engine starting is important.
[What are the symptoms of Motorcycle Ignition coil failure?
When the Ignition coil fails.
When starting the Engine, not enough electricity may reach the Spark plug and sparks may not fly.
→ The fuel/air mixture is not combusted, so it is less likely to Engine 。
The same phenomenon may also occur while driving, causing the Engine RPM to become unstable, power down, or stall.
And Ignition coils also have a life span.
Although these parts are more durable over the long term, there is a time when they need to be replaced.
When should I replace the Ignition coil on my Motorcycle? As a general guideline, it is recommended to replace the Ignition coil at about 100,000 to 150,000 kilometers Meter or about 7 to 10 years. 。 However, this is only a general guideline and may vary depending on driving conditions and maintenance status.
→In my case, it's been more than 20 years since it was manufactured, so of course I'll replace it........................
Replacement procedure. 〜For ~ESTRELLA

■ After replacement
I don't know about acceleration, power, fuel economy, or anything like that, but what I did notice a change was the Idling! Before the replacement, the idling was going up and down a little. 。 But after the replacement, I don't feel that at all! Well, it's 90's Motorcycle.... It has deteriorated in many ways, so replacing it with a new one would seem to make a small change...! But the question is, won't Idling be lower on rainy days? But the problem is, won't the Idling be low on a rainy day?. We'll see how it goes there.

Heart of the Engine
When I replaced the cell starter the other day, there was a situation where I had to open the crankcase, and since there was an oil pump in the vicinity, I replaced it as well.
Oil pump
The passage through which engine oil flows is the oil line, and the oil pump is the starting point of the oil line.
The →Oil pump is the heart of the engine, and if this part fails, the circulation of oil inside the engine will often fail.
What is the role of the oil pump?
Oil pump works to suck up and circulate oil to reduce friction between Transmission GEAR and Bearing.
It is a very important part, but it is also troublesome if it breaks.
It is the cause of life span and breakage,
Life of the Engine oilPump.
The service life of the engine oil pump is almost the same as that of the engine. 。 As with the Engine, the Engine oil must be changed with proper Timing in order for the Engine oilPump to work properly! 。
Cause of failure
If the engine oil replacement is neglected for a long period of time, the engine oil pump will fail, which will eventually cause the engine to fail.
What exactly happens?
If the oil does not circulate well in the Engine, the →.
The rotation of the crankshaft is transmitted to the GEAR attached to the splines to rotate the oil pump. 。 Oil is pumped from the inside by rotation. Therefore, if GEAR does not rotate due to damage to the splines, the oil pump will not operate. In other words, oil will not circulate inside the engine. 。 Oil does not rotate.
⇒ causes seizure.
In my case, I'm replacing it for the purpose of eliminating uncertainty, not failure, but the way to determine if it has failed.
Symptoms of malfunction
(1) White smoke rises.
(2) Spark plugs are covered.
(iii) Engine burn-in occurs.
Even if you think that the oil pump may be faulty, it is also a high hurdle for a beginner to disassemble it immediately to check if it is normal or not. 。
It may be simplified for this reason, but we will first inspect it as follows 。
Inspection Method
○ ○Idling the exhaust pipe and hold your hand over the exhaust pipe to see if Oil adheres to the pipe.
→ This is the easiest.
→I felt a little bit Oil-like (laughs).
Oil pumps are not often disassembled and repaired in a manner that is → difficult.
Therefore, it is better to replace the oil pump itself.
How to exchange.
(1) Remove the Oil.
↓
Remove the Crank Case Cover.
↓
Remove the oil pump.
There is a screw that holds the Oil Pump Gear in place, but since it is an integral part of the Oil Pump Gear, remove the Plus screw.
Screws are hard, so use a screwdriver to loosen the screws.
↓
Install the oil pump with new gears and tighten the screws.
↓
(5) Attach and tighten the Crank Case Cover and Gasket.
↓
(6) Insert new Oil. Done.
There is no particular effect, no Oil from the Exhaust System, no White Smoke, that seems to be the effect.
It is similar to the heart that pumps Oil into the Engine, or in humans, the heart that pumps blood into the body.
