A position that will never get old.
The bike had a wide handlebar from the time of purchase, but when I thought about long distance riding, the riding posture, etc., became very difficult, so I decided to go with the OEM handlebar.
Of course, Cableetc. is also OEM.
I have ridden on vehicles with various shapes of handlebar, such as Separate handle, Wide, TRACKER, etc,
OEM Handlebar of Large Body is Pipe Handlebar, isn't it?
Pipe Handlebar
Pipe Handlebar is a handlebar made by bending a single piece of pipe, and is used in a wide range of models from naked motorcycle to American motorcycle, and is the most standard handlebar. 。 There are a variety of shapes and sizes, from flat-shaped models for sports driving to models with high handles for Americans.
Flat shaped Handlebar is Continental handle The high handlebar used for American and other products is Handlebar Up Type It is called
Why is the OEM Pipe Handlebar?
Pipe Handlebar Characteristics
。
Suitable for long-distance touring, as it does not tire easily even after long hours of driving. 。 In addition, the handlebar is easy to turn off, making it easy to turn around at low speeds and maneuver when dismounting.
=It's a Handlebar that is less tiring on Motorcycle. And Large Resistance is easier to handle.
And the material used for OEM handlebars, including ESTRELLA, is Steel.
SteelHandlebar is ...
Characterized by low strength and heavy weight.
→It looks like Demerit, but it's not Demerit.
Since the strength →Cost surface ...
The weight of the handlebar is a good measure to prevent vibration. If there is a lot of vibration, it means that the handlebar is heavier.
We considered those advantages and made it OEM.
What I also liked was the Handlebar width. It's 72.5 cm in actual size and 8 cm high, which fits my physique (laughs).

■ Comments
I bought a modified car and drove it as is, so I didn't know about the OEM's position. But it's not the kind of forward lean that hurts my back, it's a normal NAKED type position.
The handlebar width has been reduced, and the volume of the tank is more prominent, which I like.

Check with Carburetor Vehicles if it is old.
ESTRELLA's Restore is still going on (laughs).
I'm not seeing any glitches at this point, but I'm concerned that there may be some in the near future.
I've been thinking about it a lot again.
The area around the Fuel Cock is dirty, i.e., I saw seepage of Gasoline, so I replaced it. 。
It may be due to the deterioration of internal packing or something, but we decided it would be wise to replace it. 。
Fuel Cock (Negative Pressure Cook)
...Motorcycle Negative Pressure Cook refers to a Fuel Cock that uses air pressure (negative pressure). 。 Motorcycles have Parts called Fuel Cock that connect the Fuel Tank (Fuel Tank) to the Carburetor (Fuel Cock).
Where's Cook on this thing?
The parts called "Fuel Cock" are attached to the bottom of the fuel tank.
Applicable to vehicles with *ESTRELLA or Reserve (reserve fuel) Tank. Mainly Carburetor vehicles.
How Fuel Cock works.
‥ Negative pressure type Fuel Cock is generated when air (properly mixed with Gasoline) is sucked in when the Engine is running. "Negative pressure" The valves are opened and Gasoline flows through them by
Simply put, Gasoline flows when the Engine is running, and when the Engine stops, Gasoline flow stops.
[If the Fuel Cock malfunctions...
. Fuel supply will not be normal, causing Engine malfunction or fuel leakage.
→Idling unstable, frequent stalls, Gasoline smell.
Why is the Fuel Cock broken?
Cause
Rust in Fuel Tank, Gasoline mixed with rust passes through Cook →Damaged parts in Cook 。
Internal packing damage due to age-related deterioration.
*Packing is mainly Material:Deterioration occurs due to constant contact with Rubber and Gasoline.
→ Here's my case.
A simple image would be a water faucet, which is leaking even though it is supposed to be shut off properly, right?
This is similarly true for the Material inside:It's because RubberPacking is deteriorating.
Replacing the cook itself is not difficult, but there is a lot of work involved.
How to Replace Motorcycle Fuel Cock ~ESTRELLA~.
(1) Empty the fuel tank (Gasoline). 。
If you see Rust in the tank, remove the rust. Soak the tank in rust remover (Sun Pole can be substituted) and leave it to soak overnight.
↓
Turn the Fuel Cock to OFF.
↓
Pull out the Fuel Hose and the Negative Pressure Hose.
↓
(4) Remove the Motorcycle Seat and Side cover.
It can be done even if * attached, but if it is a Side cover with Gasoline, there is a risk of the paint peeling off or the Seat deteriorating.
↓
(5) Remove the bolt securing the tank and lower the tank.
↓
?Replace the Fuel CockAssy.
↓
? ?→? Return in this order to complete the process.
If you want to keep the cost as low as possible, you can replace only the packing with a large sturdy one, but if it is an old car body, it is better to replace it with a new one.
OEM is recommended over external if possible. Due to durability issues.

Genuine Kawasaki Front Brake Pads for NINJA ZX-6R 1998
This Ninja came in and needed some new front brake pads. No point in going silly and getting after market ones as the OEM Kawasaki ones will be more that ample for this bike. It was decided then to get the Genuine Kawasaki brake pads so I looked on Webike and they had them in stock. I purchased the front set but the rear were just fine for at least a few hundred miles yet. Finding the correct ones was pretty easy using the help pages and cross referencing Kawasaki schematics. The price Webike had the for was very good value for money for genuine Kawasaki pads. With a few other items in my basket, shipping was spread out so was also very reasonable. The order took 5 days to arrive here in the UK. Everything was packed really well and no damage at all. After removing the old pads, they were defintiely needed as there was very little left. The new pads are really solid looking pads. They are clean and free from any contaminants. Super easy to fit and now the bike is back in good health. Thanks Webike, great work. View detail

Brake masterTank on the Front. [Color] I made it Smoke and so did Rear. [Color] I bought it to make Smoke.
The original bracket to prevent the cap from falling off has a gap between the top claw and the gap, so I bent the claw part down with pliers and attached it for the time being. It is ugly, so I'm going to keep it until I buy a dedicated one.
The appearance is less noticeable. [Color] I am satisfied with Smoke because there is no worry about yellowing, but I think it is too expensive.

ESTRELLA's crying place.
ESTRELLA's Restore, which has become immobile, maybe the end of the line here.
Just before it became immobile, it was leaking oil frequently, and I was looking for various causes this time while restoring it.
(1) Deterioration of Piston ring → done.
(2) CamTensioner problems→done.
(3) Gasket degradation → done.
I have been repairing the grains in various ways, but there was a blind spot.
There was oil leakage from the root of the oil pipe on the crank side.
Is it Gasket?
I took it off for a test, and as I expected, it was Gasket. I replaced it.
Oil pipe, as the name implies, is a pipe through which oil passes, but why is it attached?
It has to do with oil pumps.
Oil pump
Equipped on the lower front side of the cylinder block and driven in conjunction with the crankshaft.
The OilCleaner sucks up oil accumulated in the oil pan and supplies oil to the sliding parts of the cylinder head and cylinder block. 。
Think of it as gravity, so Oil goes down too, it accumulates in the Oil pan.
The oil pipe is where the oil passes through.
Oil pipe
Oil pipe is a piping that serves as a route to feed engine oil. 。 Engine oil plays a role in lubrication and cooling, and oil leaks can cause seizure and other problems. 。 Also called oil transmission pipe.
Engine oil not only lubricates the engine, but also cools it.
If the engine is air-cooled, the engine oil cooling effect is even more important.
And if the oil as an auxiliary role for cooling does not circulate correctly due to leakage, .......
→If the amount of engine oil is less than the proper amount, a strange noise may occur while driving, or the engine sound may become louder than usual. 。 In addition, low engine oil reduces the natural lubricating effect of the engine, causing a risk of engine seizure in some cases.
In my case, I don't know why it didn't burn out... I was able to manage to ride it while adding oil... now that I think about it, it's scary (laughs).
Gasket replacement.
Procedure
Remove the oil pipe from the cylinder head side, the carburetor side, and the crankcase side.
↓
(2) Gasket of rubber is confirmed at the tip of the pipe on the crankcase side. 。
↓
Replace (3).
↓
Assemble in the order of ? ?→?.
[After exchange]
◎Oil leaks are completely gone 。
◎A little test drive made it run Smooth.
This completely fixed the Oil leak. 。
Regardless of the year, it is a part that comes in contact with oil, so deterioration is to be expected. If you feel oil leakage even a little, it may be a good idea to suspect this part. 。
It seems that ESTRELLA has many examples of repairs here (laughs).
The only thing left to do is to adjust Tappet.

If the vehicle is in the 90's, I would recommend replacement.
I started Restore of ESTRELLA, which is no longer ridden and immobilized.
Just before I stopped riding, I had frequent oil leaks, and I was looking for various causes this time while I was restoring the car.
(1) Deterioration of Piston ring → done.
(2) CamTensioner problems→this time.
(3) Gasket degradation→ yet.
I would like to look at the Camshaft Chain Tensioner.
I was suspicious because of the following symptoms
▲Oil leak
▲Engine noise is annoying and rattles.
The higher the rpm, the slower it gets.
Because of the symptoms of the disease.
[Camshaft Chain Tensioner]
It is designed to prevent the camshaft chain from loosening or sagging, and is made of rubber or spring. 。 The camshaft chain is a very large component located above the cylinder head.
If there is a problem with the Chain tensioner...
Oil leaks or oozes, rattling noises when cold, and the Engine warning light may come on. 。 The chain tensioner is attached to the chain line between the camshaft and crankshaft inside the engine in connection with the chain slider.
It seems that the Camshaft Chain starts to stretch after 20,000km, and the failure of ESTRELLA seems to be a design defect depending on the year. I have an Initial Model, so bingo!
The Camshaft Chain Tensioner is supposed to maintain the proper tension of the Camshaft Chain so that it does not go out of control, but since it is defective, the Camshaft Chain is running out of control while it is stretched.
I would like to make an exchange.
According to the story, after 2000, Tensioner is the countermeasure, so I used that one.
It seems that there are a lot of Tensioner's galling in the 90's cars.
Procedure
(1) Open the Head and remove the Tensioner. 。
Open the Head from the vehicle Left and remove the Tensioner. 。 You just take Bolt in two places.
The old Tensioner has some signs of being scraped by friction. I guess it was probably scraped by rubbing against the Camshaft Chain.
↓
(2) Put on a new Tensioner.
↓
(3) Complete with Head's Cover.
Oil can be worked without removing it. However, it is easier to work if the vehicle body is level, so it is recommended to use a center stand.
[After exchange]
The Tappet sound is bothersome, but the clattering sound is gone.
There is no oil leak near the cylinder, but there seems to be oil leak near the oil line, so it will take more time.
If you are driving a 90's vehicle like myself, or if you are planning to buy a used vehicle, I think you should replace the Tensioner with one from 2000 or later.
I believe that this repair is possible on an individual Level.

ESTRELLA's Crying Place
I started Restore of ESTRELLA, which was immobilized after I stopped riding it.
I was looking for the cause of the problem I felt at the time I was riding and was concerned about the restoration of the engine.
One of the causes we considered and replaced was the Piston ring.
[Piston ring]
Simply put, it is the Seal of compressed Gas.
The Piston ring acts as a seal when compressing the fuel/air mixture inside the Engine's Cylinder. 。 This maintains the pressure in the combustion chamber and keeps the Engine's Power.
Why did you think it was a Piston ring? ◆Why did you think of Piston ring?
*Looks like it's going up Oil.
Oil is running high...White smoke from the exhaust system while driving and engine oil is running low.
This is a symptom of oil wear→ Oil leaking from the gap between the Piston and Cylinder. Then, it is possible that the Oil leaks to the outside.
Here, we replaced it with an OEM product, not a low-priced external product, etc.
Piston ring replacement procedure
(1) Remove the cylinder head.
If you drop the Camshaft Chain down, you will have to lower it below the waist, so it is better to hang it with a needle gold with tension.
↓
(2) Remove the Ring of the Stopper with radio pliers and pull out the Piston Pin.
↓
(3) After the Clip is removed, press the inside Pin from the inside to easily pull it out and remove the Piston. 。
(4) Take out the old ring. It is deformed rather than chipped.
(5) Ring is correctly set to Quantity.:Set and Install 。 The order is ExpanderRing → top and bottom SteelRail→ Top ring→ SecondRing.
? Simply assemble in reverse order.
[After exchange]
White smoke from the Exhaust System is gone.
It seems that the Oil uplift was the right way to look at it.
However, the oil leakage does not seem to have stopped.
I would like to start on the next part.
The clearance between the cylinder and piston is very small (around 0.1mm), but this small gap makes it impossible to compress the air mixture and receive combustion pressure without loss.
It seems that there are many cases of malfunctions in ESTRELLA's Initial Model (90's), and one of them is oil leakage.
Initial Model's Piston ring is thin and has low strength.
If you suspect oil leakage as well as oil rise, you should consider replacement.
Oil leaks have not gone away yet, so next we will look at the Camshaft Chain Tensioner.

Please examine things carefully as this is a Large cut-off place.
We are currently working on a Restore of the immovable ESTRELLA,
We recently replaced a Camshaft Chain Tensioner.
Since the head cover was opened at that time, the head gasket was also replaced.
The original reason for the oil leak was the wear of the Tensioner, but since the oil was leaking through the →Gasket, the Gasket was unusable.
It would be wise to replace it. Basically, Gasket is not reusable.
Gasket and packing are used in various places, but what is the function of the gasket attached to the head cover?
[Head Gasket]
Gasket between the Cylinder block and Cylinder head of an internal combustion engine.
The seal must be strong enough to keep the internal pressure of the cylinder from escaping and to prevent coolant and engine oil from flowing into the cylinder, and it must have the highest strength of all the gaskets used for engines.
Why do we have to replace it?
Material of Head Gasket is Rubber 。
It deteriorates when exposed to outside air. In addition, the oil and the mixture of air are exposed to the air, so it is a very severe condition.
Deterioration may be severe.
[When it deteriorates...]
Oil cannot be held in place, which naturally leads to a decrease in oil.
As a result, the → combustion chamber suffers Damage! 。 The reduction in Oil will cause the Engine to burn out, further increasing repair costs and time.
The difference is obvious when you consider the cost of Gasket and the time it takes to change Gaskets (laughs).
Better to replace it before that happens.
Replacement Procedure] 〜For ~Head Gasket~.
Remove the head cover.
↓
The rubber rim on the reverse side of the head cover is the Gasket.
↓
(3) Remove it by pinching it with the tip of Tweezers or Radio pliers.
↓
(4) Clean the area where the Gasket was installed with parts cleaner, etc.
↓
(5) Place the new Gasket on the reverse side of the Head cover. Align the position properly.
↓
(6) Adjust the Head cover to the original position and tighten the Bolt to complete.
[After exchange]
Oil leakage near the head cover has been completely eliminated.
However, there is an oil leak near the oil pump.
I am glad that after the purchase, I never had to open the Engine area at all.
Is Gasket a low-cost or OEM product?
Gasket is easily available at low prices and is often convenient and substitutable, but OEM products should be recommended.
Since the durability of the engine area and other parts is required for durability, it is better to choose an OEM product or a product equivalent to an OEM product if you intend to drive the car for a long time.

I used it as packing when I replaced the Oil Filter in my Ninja 250SL. 'More expensive, but of higher quality!' I thought it would be a good idea to use the cheaper Other Brand Product packing, but the quality is the same, so the price is about the same. We also tried using another cheaper Other Brand Product packing, but the quality is the same, so we recommend you to choose the cheaper one unless you are concerned about the OEM product. View detail

I replaced it with a new one when I replaced the front sprocket on my Ninja 250SL. This product can be reused, but in principle, it should not be reused. Absolutely not." It is a part that must be damaged when attaching and detaching (I learned this from a PRO motorcycle shop)! (I learned this from a PRO Motorcycle shop.) It is a part that always hurts when you put it on and take it off… If it falls off, the front sprocket will fall off and it will be a big disaster… It is only a 200 yen item, and to ride your motorcycle comfortably, be sure to buy and install it every time! To ride a motorcycle comfortably, be sure to purchase and install the front sprocket every time! View detail
