Exchange is at the same time as Sprocket.
It will be the finish of the Restore of the drive train. 。
Chain exchange was also done. 。
Sprocket front and rear, Chain to finish 。
[Motorcycle's Drive chain].
‥ The drive chain is the chain of a motorcycle and plays an important role in transmitting power from the engine to the rear wheel tires through a gear called a sprocket. 。 Outer Plate and Inner Plate are stopped by a Pin covered with Bush 。 Since they deteriorate as they are driven, they are consumable items that require periodic maintenance and replacement.
[Chain type].
○Non-seal Chain
○Seal chain
The Large body Motorcycle version is a Seal chain.
ESTRELLA is also a Seal chain.
You mentioned that the Chain is consumable, but the base lifespan is
[MotorcycleChain replacement time
In case of Non-seal Chain, since it deteriorates quickly, it is a Large cut to check whether it needs to be replaced or not by maintenance when the mileage exceeds 10,000Km.
Seal chain has a range of about 15,000 to 20,000 km.
It's more durable than →non-seal.
The life expectancy is only a guideline and varies depending on riding style, maintenance frequency, and storage conditions of the vehicle.
I think it is preferable to exchange it with Sprocket since the duration is similar to Large-body Sprocket. 。
→ In my case, it's been running about 3000 since I bought it, so I'm replacing it no questions asked.
Why do they need to be replaced or maintained?
Chain due to age-related deterioration, etc. [Rust] Deterioration, breakage, or lack of Seal Ring Adhesion happens.
When that happens ... you can imagine,
Noise
Poor acceleration
Fuel consumption deterioration
not running
The chain will break and damage the surrounding parts, resulting in a major disaster.
How to exchange 〜Chain ~ of ESTRELLA
(1) Float the Rear tire with Center Stand or Jack.
↓
Loosen the ASKULNut near the rear tire, and loosen the Chain Adjuster to the maximum large limit.
Also, as with the front sprocket replacement, the engine cover was removed so that the front sprocket could be seen.
↓
The Chain Tool is used to Rose the Pin holding the Chain by applying pressure from Both Sides.
↓
(4) Chain is applied to the Front to Rear Sprocket gear.
↓
(5) When the length is just right, Cut the Chain at a little longer than that.
↓
(6) Clip the ends and ends together.
Adjust the play of the chain (?) and tighten the ASKULNut.
↓
(10) Empty the Tire and check the operation. If there are no problems, the operation is complete.
[Notes]
◯Chain Tool is a must.
The approximate length of the chain should be about the same length as the chain is loosened to the largest size. 。
◯Make sure to use military gloves because you are worried about getting your hands dirty or injuring yourself.
This time it was ESTRELLA, but it can be applied to anything, so there is no harm in learning it.
Since we have purchased a new Sprocket and Chain, I think the drive system will be Large sturdy for the time being.

It's a pretty challenging task (laughs).
The restoration of ESTRELLA was supposed to be completed the other day....
There seems to be another glitch.
Engine's no longer on (laughs).
I just got a new battery.
→After a lot of research, I guessed that Starter motor is suspect.
Since speculation is not an option, we checked the following methods.
1. Even if you turn the key. (even if Engine startSwitch is pressed) There is no response.
2. When you turn the key. (When Engine startSwitch is pressed) The only sound is "Snap".
3.The Engine hangs, but the Starter keeps turning.
(OverRAN)
→It all applies (laughs) Starter motor seems to be the way to go (laughs).
The role and basic structure of the Starter motor
The PinionGEAR at the end of the motor contacts the IdolGEAR and ClutchGEAR in that order to slow down the rotation speed, and the PinionGEAR, which is coaxial with the ClutchGEAR and rotates at the same speed, turns the engine's ring gear to start the engine.
[What are the symptoms of a malfunctioning Starter motor?
Even if you turn a key (or press a Button) Pushing, Pushing." (The sound of the Switch entering the room will be heard, but there will be no operating sound at all). 。
It is difficult to start Engine even if there is nothing wrong with the Battery.
Time to start the Engine is longer The sound of Cell Motor is weak and erratic.
→ and Motor, Motor has a Carbon brush inside. I was wondering if you could replace the internals.
What is StarterBrush's role?
Cell Motor has Brush" There is a component called 。 The Brush serves to increase current-carrying capacity by being pressed by the Spring against the commutator, a part of the Brush.
As it wears out and becomes shorter, contact failure occurs, resulting in poor conductivity. 。 Thus, rotation is reduced and Engine is no longer applied.
[What happens when Motor's Brush wears out? ]
The constant contact between the Brush and commutator causes the Brush and commutator to gradually wear away and deteriorate due to friction! 。 Brush made of gold will not be able to make contact with commutator as it wears out and electricity will not flow properly. 。 This will prevent the DCMotor with Brush from operating properly.
→ i.e., Cell Motor does not turn or turns poorly.
But how can it be broken if it is not a part that touches the outside so much?
[Starter motor life time].
10 to 15 years, or 100,000 to 150,000 km in mileage. 。 However, the service life will vary depending on how it is used and how often idling stops are repeated. 。
→ I don't have a lot of miles on mine, but I bought it used and it's over 20 years old, so it's not surprising that it's deteriorating (laughs) and I'm replacing it.
[Notes]
In the case of ESTRELLA, only the internal Brush cannot be ordered by OEM (lol).:It's a Set, and what an expensive one (laughs).
Replacement Procedure]
(1) Remove the oil.
↓
Remove the Exhaust System.
↓
Remove the right side clutch cover.
The cell motor is exposed and looks like it can be easily removed.....................................but it is well attached to the clutch cover, so the cover must be removed.
↓
Finally, the Cell Motor (tubular) can be removed.
↓
(5) Disassembly.
↓
(6) Brush is located on the lid side of the Cell Motor. Replace it.
↓
? Assembled in reverse order.
after replacement
◎Startability is back. → this is all that is needed.
It may seem easy to remove the Cell Motor, but it is not very efficient as it requires a lot of time and effort to remove the oil, exhaust system, clutch cover, etc. because of its location (laugh).
Maybe it's not a part that is replaced frequently, but at any rate, it was Large strange (laughs).
It paid off with the effect after the exchange (laughs).

OEM Parts are very helpful.
When the StarterButton is pressed, the
The engine would not start (it would press a few times), but it would make a snap sound.
One day, the engine would not stop after parking.
I did some research on the Net and found that the wisdom of our ancestors was described in the book.
The Starter Relay was determined to be defective and was replaced.
So far, it's back with a single start.
It is very helpful to be able to order OEM Parts from this Site.
