The Front area is quite important.
Restore of ESTRELLA's undercarriage.
The external springs are also attractive, but I don't want that much from an Estrella motorcycle.
So we decided to replace OEM Spring with Overhaul as well.
The large suspension of a motorcycle is usually associated with rear suspension, so how important is the front fork?
Front fork is important for motorcycles.
‥ Front fork is one of the most important parts to keep your motorcycle running safely. 。
Action
The front fork is the suspension of the front, and is the place that controls the absorption of impact and steering performance.
Absorbs shock to prevent shaking when picking up a road surface gap, and suppresses the front from going out of balance when the corner ring is used. 。
Also affects Breaking.
It works to reduce the sinking behavior when the front wheel Brake is applied.
→I feel like I'm responsible for the balance of the vehicle body around the Front. 。
In the case of a large body, the front part of the body is affected by the deterioration of the oil in the fork called "fork oil", but if the spring is deteriorated and worn out....
[Defects in Spring's Downs].
▲ Somewhat fluffy.
When the machine goes over a step, it shakes indefinitely. ▲ When Brake is applied, it suddenly sinks down, and when Release is applied, it suddenly comes back up.
Front is out of control during ▲Corner.
▲Front goes out of control at high speed. 。
→In my case, I felt the shaking when I went over a bump and the jiggle of the Corner ring, so I considered replacing it.
Some people say that as long as the front oil is removed and renewed, it is not necessary to replace the springs, but springs are also consumables, so they cannot be completely replaced.
[Spring's lifespan].
Most vehicles with a mileage (depending on how they are driven) of over 40,000 km are beyond the limit of use. 。 If the front end sinks at 1G (you can't tell unless you put the same car side by side), or if it bottoms out during full brake, it's time to replace it.
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to replace the front brake because it has over 50,000 miles on it and it sinks a lot when you grip it.
Incidentally, the front fork oil seemed to have a life span of 10,000 to 20,000 km.
After much research, it seems that OEMSpring and external Spring are unlikely to benefit from Spring itself, so we decided to use OEM.
The exchange method is
How to exchange ~ESTRELLA~.
(1) Jack-up the lower Frame of Engine.
↓
Front brake caliper, front tire(12mm HEX×Quantity:2pcs), remove Front Fender 。
↓
(3) Loosen the upper Fork mounting bolt with HexaWrench. 。
↓
(4) After that, loosen TopPlug. (24mm)
↓
(5) Wipe lubricant around the Bolt.
↓
(6) Loosen also the lower fixed Bolt. (8mm)
↓
(7) Wrap a Towel around the Top bolt and hit it with a plastic hammer.
↓
(8) If it moves, pull it out.
↓
Remove the TopPlug.
*Spring is compressed so bong! and it pops out. 。 I suggest putting a Towel over it and turning it on top of it. 。
↓
? Oil is absorbed by Oil absorbent material and Spring, Color, and Washer are taken out.
↓
(11) Inner Tube cleaned with PartsCleaner 。
↓
Stroke the ?Tube with new oil and clean the inside. 。
↓
?Upside down for a while to drain Oil. 。
↓
Push the Inner Tube all the way in and fill it with a small amount of oil, stroke it, and let it stand for a few minutes to purge the air.
* Put in a new Spring at this time.
↓
In the case of ?ESTRELLA, the oil volume is 375 ml, and the oil level is 150mm, so measure the oil volume appropriately, then pour in the oil, and finally insert a 30 cm AluminumScale from the top and adjust the oil to 150mm from the top.
↓
Raise the ?InnerSeal to the top.
↓
?TopPlug (Bolt) Tighten the
Large strange to compress *Spring. Do it with two people if you can.
If you are doing it alone, you can afford to do it with power tools and Vise.
The rest is assembled in reverse order.
〜After replacement
◎Calm sinking during Brake.
◎I could feel the bumps on the road surface absorbing the impact. 。
◎Corner ring is also stable 。
I think OEMSpring is sufficient, the key is to change the height of the oil surface to change the feeRing.
I thought it would be better to ask the store if possible.

Genuine Kawasaki Hose Clamp for KX250
This was a replacement for the existing hose clamp that had been beaten up over the years. Although you probably can get away with not being perfect but if you are like me, if a job needs doing, it needs doing well. Not specifically an expensive part so why not just change it. FInding the right part was not hard as I do use the help pages and links Webike provide on their help pages. I also cross referenced with Kawasaki schematics to make doubly sure. The part was good value for what it does. I do always have more than one part in my basket for ordering as this help spread the cost of shipping. I used EMS as I have done for a number of months now, and every time, my order arrives promptly and on time. 5 days from being shipped from Webike warehouse and my order arrived. The parts were all really well packaged and no damage to anything at all. The hose clamp also consists of the plastic ring and metal bracket which both looked great. Really well made and thought out. Fitting is really quick as it just bolts on. As there is already a split in the ring, you can feed the hose down in it with no issues. Very pleased with this purchase and the bike looks great. FForkOverhaul while we're at it.
The OEMFork Guard was getting white due to deterioration, so I purchased it to replace it together with the next ForkOverhaul.
Quantity instead of Integral:If it is 1 set of 2pcs. type etc., it can be replaced without removing the front fork, so it is troublesome.
