Universal Chain Guard from GBRacing for YZF-R6 2016
This was one of the last parts to get this bike as well protected as possible for the upcoming track days this customer had planned this year. This is a part that all UK tracks are essential for. If you do not have one on, you will not get onto the track. It's that simple. The chain guard we chose was a universal fitment as long as you have the threaded holes in the swing arm. Luckily, this bike has already got them. You can of course drill and tap out the threads if you do not have these. Anyway, finding he right part was super easy and I just referenced GBRacing website and what fitted this bike. The price from Webike was really good and as I already had a few biits I needed ordering, I got these from here. The cost of shipping is also cushioned with a few parts and not just the one. With EMS my order was delivered in 5 days from shipping. ALl my parts in this order arrived safely and no damage at all. This is generally down to just how well Webike warehouse pack the orders. Top marks folks. The chain guard is a simple part but the fin does actually stop your feet getting involved with the chain if you do come a cropper. The fin is really tough material. The bolts cast into the fin are solidly in there. No chance of those coming out. All together, this feels like a top quality part. I never had any thought of it being any different to all the rest of the GBRacing products anyway. Very pleased with this fit and hope the customer does not actually need it. Thanks Webike. Genuine GBRACING Cotton Reels for YZF-R6 2016
There were a couple of other parts that I wanted to get for project track bike which will help protect the bike if there is any accident. These are what I decided to get and the added bonus is that not only will they protect the swingarm but you use them to lift the rear wheel with a paddock stand. Dual purpose which is brilliant.I found the correct part numbers by checking GBRacing website and adding the model of bike. Very pelased to see that Webike also stock them, so purchased them from here instead. The price is roughly what I could get them for locally but I can count of Webike delivering my items on time and without a hitch. The outer box was sealed and the littel bit of empty space inside the box was filled with buble wrap. All my parts, even the samller ones arrived in perfect condition. The cotton reels came in their own box which was nice and touch so there would be no damage. They have a really smoothed out thread on the bolts which went in smoothly, not notchy or sharp edged. They attach to the mounting points on the swingarm with no issue. The cotton reels themselves are made from a special nylon I believe, don't quote me on that though but they are very similar to the others I have purchased. I tried them with my standard paddock stand and they are a perfect fit, no wobble like some other cotton reels so a very good product all around. Very pleased with the result. Thank you Webike for your hard work. View detail
Genuine GBRacing Frame Slider Set for YZF-R6
This bike came in and the customer wanted the full kit of protection for their bike as they were planning on taking it to the track this year. My very first thought was of course GBRacing as they are well reknowned for excellent protection. Webike do stock a lot of GBRacing products for various models and manufacturers. I found the correct part by cross referencing GBRacing website. The price was about the same as I could get locally but they did not have the stock, Webike did. With a few other parts, all shipped by EMS and arrived undamaged in 5 days. These crash protectors are a sturdy piece of kit. You can see that there is a lot of material to wear away before any damage can be made to your engine or surrounding parts. I personally have had a small low side and the crash protector did their job perfectly. With these added, this is what we are hoping for too. The machining is brilliant, very well presented. The bolts they provide which are of course longer than you remove are stainless steel so will be just fine. A word of warning if you do not already know, put a support underneath the engine itself. Just remove one side at a time or you risk the engine dropping and then you might come into difficulty. If all else fails, I do tend to have a jack under the rngine before I remove or even loosen any bolts for these items. Take your time, make sure you do not cross thread the bolts and you will be just fine. Torque to instructions and off you go. Thanks Webike, very happy. View detail
