Installation is very cumbersome and complicated
I installed it on a honda xr50 motard model. Originally, honda xr50 motard did not have a gear display. I very much hope that a gear display kit can be installed on the car, so I chose not this PROTEC SPI-M01 gear indicator kit. However, during the installation process, I found it very complicated just by looking at the contents of the manual. There were a lot of lines to be installed. In the end, I had no choice but to hand it over to a professional to solve the installation problem. I hope that after the installation, it will give me satisfactory results. View detail

For the Analog Motorcycle.
Since it is originally an analog tailor-made motorcycle …, it is very easy to What speed are you going? I've been doing this for a while. I thought I'd ruin Clutch if I did it like this, so I introduced the Shift indicator after the fact.
This one was left to the Motorcycle shop to do the impressions of use.
good point
Because it is small, the feeling of retrofitting is low.
It is very useful for touring.
The LCD is easy to read even at night.
Waterproof is also expected there.
A bad point
It's better to do it at a shop than to replace it by yourself. Especially for the electrical system.
The price is high. But it is reasonable because of its accuracy and durability.
The sound of him running.

We're back in business.
I installed Shift positionIndicator about 4 years ago, and for mechanical car models with speedometer, it is necessary to attach a magnet to the wheel to pick up the rotation by sensor. The kit for the car model was specified to be attached to the front caliper, but I modified it a little and attached the sensor to the brake disc of the rear and operated it.
Recently, I started to have more and more chances to have malfunctions, and I felt bad, but the other day, when I went out for Touring, my Body finally "1" and Neutral "0" Since the body recognized Neutral, I suspected that the sensor was broken and bought this product. When I removed the existing sensor, I found that a part of it was melted, so it seems to have been broken by the brake disc which became hot by using the rear brake a lot on the mountain road. It seems to have been broken by the brake disc which became hot due to the heavy use of the rear brake on the mountain road. Since there is a risk which breaks by heat even if it is installed in the same place, this time, the installation place is changed to Sprocket. I made a new bracket with aluminum plate and tightened it to the bolt of the Chain Guard.
After installation, I reconfigured it and it works fine. At first, I thought I would buy the harness kit from Repair Parts, but I found this one in Universal Product and I am happy that I could fix it at a reasonable price.
This product does not have a coupler on the wiring, unlike the one that came in the kit for the car model. In my case, I extended the wiring to install it on the rear when I installed it last time, so I cut it from there and put it on the Solder. This was OK, but if you use it for repair without any modification, you will need to do some processing.

I installed it on my FZ400.
ManufacturerSite has installation examples for each car model, so I used that as a reference.
The Kit does not include the terminals and resistors necessary for coupling, so you will need to make your own arrangements for these.
Also, there was a mistake in the Wiring color in the Manufacturer's installation example, so it was not easy to install.
Although Neutral is said to be GreenWhite in the Manufacturer, it is really light blue.
If your car does not have the kit, you will need to use the Skill for installation.

I installed it on my FZ400.
The Instruction Manual says that the clearance of the sensor part should be within 10mm, but since the wider the clearance, the wider the error, it does not mean that it is large and strong if it is within 10mm, but it is better to make it as close as possible.
If you are someone who changes the fork oil frequently, because it is installed in the front fork.
We recommend that you install the product in such a way that it can be easily removed.

Frustrated with Manual.
I haven't even used it yet, but I installed it on my CUBJA07 and destroyed the body.
The Harness is short and both the Harness and Instruction Manual call for the power supply to be taken from the IGCoil, but the Manual does not give enough warning, so I connected it to the wrong side.
After I broke it, I read the Instruction Manual carefully and found that it says "Connect to the 0-colored Connector side of the IGCoil. It says "Connect to the 0-colored Connector side of the IGCoil", but the Harness shape is the same and the side of the Harness that should be connected is hidden. However, the Harness shape is the same and the side of Harness that should be connected is hidden, so I connected it without thinking and this situation happened.
I think you should try to get the power from another source, or give more warning in the Instruction Manual.
15,000 yen was an expensive study fee.

To maintain the RPMs when driving around town
I bought this for the purpose of knowing what speed and RPM I am at when I want to drive slowly in town. I bought it to know what speed I'm at and what rpm I'm at.
However, I mistakenly purchased the previous term and the latter term, and when I consulted PROTEC, I was able to exchange Harness free of charge, and I visited you also for installation.
If you are using OEM Handlebar or HURRICANE typeI, the position shown in the picture will not cause any problem, but if you are using type?
So it's better to install it a little bit to the left side so it won't interfere with Handlebar operation.

The one that was sent to me was not Cover processed as shown in the picture, but a normal METAL resistance.
It was a lot cheaper to buy a regular METAL resistance.
At least make it the same thing as the picture. I feel cheated.

Convenient
It is the Shift position of Standard Equipment in recent vehicles.
"It's not something you see all the time, so you don't need it. I was wondering...
Sometimes a phantom 7 speed (lol), sometimes a phantom 6 speed when I'm riding my ZrX1100.
I was trying to get them in and my toes were hurting so I bought them to try!
The Wire harness for the relay was also attached, and the Screen was removed.
It was OK just to install Harness and Body, so I set the installation and Shift.
The work was completed in a little over an hour.
It's a little hard to see the letters in direct sunlight during the day.
It's working fine and I don't have to worry about putting it in 7th gear anymore.
However, sometimes the Shift position is a little off when stopping.
It doesn't bother me.
If your vehicle is equipped with ABS and you want to install the Body to the Meter
You may need to be careful not to hide the LCD display on the Meter's ABS

bugle in a bit
Shift change often does not change the display. Even if I put it in what speed, the display is like 3... Once I turn off the engine, it is fixed.
I had to install the sensor on the front wheel because it is an AnalogMeter, but it includes spare parts in case of failure.

I bought it because it would try to ShiftUP even when I had it in 4th gear! (LOL)
It's hard to see the NeutralPositionIndicator with the Tachometer on, but you can see it here. Zero display and NeutralIndicator are attached, which I appreciate.
All you have to do is remove the Connector and put the included harness in between! There is no need to make a new harness, so it's easy!

GEAR display and SHIFT UPLamp are useful
I don't have to put it into the phantom 6th gear, and the Upshift point of the SEROW without Tachometer is also very nice.
When I use half Clutch, it becomes a false display, and the Time lag to the display is a little worrisome.

RotaryMission, a remedy for those who get lost in the GEAR!
Protec About Shift positionIndicator.
[Work difficulty]
If you don't have trouble removing Cowl, which is a drawback of CT125, it's not difficult.
It is a little more difficult than SP Mukawa or OMPID because of the time and effort required to change the sensor.
It is described very carefully on the manufacturer's website, so if you follow the instructions, the work should be finished without any problems.
[Notes]
The installation method on the website is explained with minimum parts removal, which makes the work more difficult.
If you take the time and effort to get rid of as much Cowl as possible, there is very little difficult work involved.
Personally, OEMSensor Wiring is the most difficult, because it is manual work that cannot be seen on the CowlReverse side.
In some cases, it is necessary to remove the Change Pedal in order to remove the Sprocket cover.
To be precise, you can loosen the fixed bolt of Pedal and pull it out to the full footpeg.
[Performance Evaluation
There is no Large-like Time lag after Gear changing, and the display of GEAR changes, so it is almost a perfect score as performance.
However, there is a scene where it is difficult to see the Red of the liquid crystal display part and the Red of the issuing part (especially when carrying the sun).
In addition to the fact that the time lag after the gear change is very large because of the backward calculation, the meter of Takekawa and OPMID
The disadvantage is that GEAR cannot be displayed at a stop without a signal.
As you can see in the image, the Indicator [1] in the MukawaMeter, even though it displays the GEAR. The part of the
[---] The only thing that is shown on the screen. Recommended for those who feel the need to check when stopping.
Please note that the Bracket that the Indicator is attached to is not included in the kit, but is a self-made part.

Installation is easy
I chose this one by referring to other people's impressions and Net information. As for the Shift position, although Large type Sports type motorbike etc. have many Meter displays as standard, the Meter of WR250x is the Trip meter. Although it is possible to display by the changeover type, because it is the Meter which is light and simple only with the Spartan sports type motorbike, this Shift positionIndicator is convenient for us. It is being installed on YAMAHA BOLT Shoulder Bag Rspec.
This motorcycle does not have a fuel gauge, and I bought it to solve the problem when I went to the countryside for a long weekend.
The installation itself is easy, but the signal line from the ECU was short and hard to get to. I had to use insulated tape to wrap it around the tap.
I am very happy with the function of this product as it has saved me from the anxiety of sudden lack of Gas.
But.
I wonder if the operational procedures could have been better.
In order to use this product, you must have a Gasoline Full Tan. Press and hold the ResetButton. The procedure to do this is mandatory.
was accidentally placed right next to the Press and hold the SetButton. If you do this, the setting value will be erased and you will need to re-setup. This is a problem from an operational point of view because it is easy to make operational errors.
In addition, at the time of purchase, as the Tank capacity of BOLT Shoulder Bag "12.0 liters. has been set.
The same BOLT Shoulder Bag can be used for different years. 13.0 liters. I think there is also a vehicle of the default setting, but it can be used as it is, because it does not change the Large effect.

What speed are we at?
I'm just happy to be able to confirm that.
I've put it on other cars I've owned.
There is no problem if you follow the Instruction Manual for installation and setup.
If you only hold the Clutch, it will mis-display, but you'll get used to it.
