Description

The change from a mechanical seal to an oil seal and the lightweight aluminum impeller specifications reduce friction!
The shaft is made of stainless steel, eliminating concerns about rust.
Reducing frictional resistance leads to increased response, acceleration, and fuel economy!
Mechanical seals are also expensive and there is a risk of failure if inexperienced users try to replace them.
Oil seals are easier to replace and can be purchased for as little as 400 yen.
The oil seal is a Stock Honda oil seal for the water pump, so it is extremely durable!
[mounting instructions]
1. Warm the gear lightly with a heat gun to ensure smooth entry without damaging the shaft due to the difference in thermal expansion.
Be sure to press-fit with a hydraulic press.
Do not press directly on threaded parts, such as installing an impeller.
2. Press-fit so that the engine side is flat.
If you make a mistake in the opposite direction, the gear will interfere with the bearing outer and will not turn smoothly.
3. Remove the edges with a cutter knife or bar file to prevent the O-ring from getting caught.
Although not shown in the image, the oil seal next to the bearing should also be installed.
4. After degreasing, apply a thin, even coat of liquid gasket.
5. Apply a thin, even layer of liquid gasket.
6. Carefully push the O-ring in by hand to avoid cutting it.
If the O-ring gets stuck, use a thin flat-blade screwdriver to lightly push it in for safety.
Leave it until it is fully cured.
7. Insert the oil seal so that the concave side is toward you.
Oiling the outside improves glide and allows for firm insertion
8. Apply a small amount of Threadlock to the base of the shaft, insert it, and leave it to cure completely.
Warming accelerates curing.
Do not apply to the bearing inner.
Objects adhering to the tip of the shaft can mix with the inside of the oil seal and cause leakage.
It is better to put a thread lock on the bearing outer part (because the bearing will come off with the shaft when the shaft is pulled out)
9. Apply anti-gouging thread compound or grease to the threads.
Do not forget to include the copper washer.
10. Tighten with approx. 1.2kg -m (impact wrench strictly prohibited) to finish.
