    Even if the "thickness of the friction disc" is within the manual's specified value when replacing the plate, if the cork grains are so black and carbonized that they cannot be distinguished, it means the plate has reached the end of its life.

    If you have replaced the clutch disc on this engine, you may have noticed that there is really only a little oil left in the disc.
