Material is SCM-440 tempered wood
The tempered material is the best material of chromoly with molecularly uniform grain.
Therefore, it is strong and resistant to heat and distortion.
This can be exited with a hex, making it lighter!
The manufacturing process does not end with processing and coating.
Machining → heat treatment → regrinding (to correct distortion created by heat treatment) → special coating of 10μm on one side.
The coating is 10μm instead of the usual 4-5μm, so it is hard to peel off, rust-resistant, and has a smooth surface of its own.
Also, if both ends are threaded, the number of compatible models will increase and the cost will decrease, but the important strength will not be achieved.
Therefore, the nut is used only on one side.(Please use the stock one.)
ZRX1100/1200'08 and ZZR1100 (TypeB) are hollow because of their thickness, while Zephyr400χ, Zephyr750 and Zephyr1100 (TypeA) are not so thick, so they are not hollowed out for strength.
Furthermore, the "chromoly pivot shaft" was completed using the same manufacturing method
Pivot is a swivel axis.
It contributes to increasing the rigidity of this important part that joins the swingarm to the body of the bike.
