Description
SHOWA Balance Free Rear Cushion lite Kit (rear shock "BFRC-lite")
The bike has been tuned to provide the same performance as the JSB machines used in the WSBK and All Japan Championships, but with the ability to be enjoyed on public roads.
This rear cushion unit has independent pistons, damping valves and sub-tanks, and the compression and extension damping valves are arranged in the damper case as a compact unit called a plug-bolt COMP 1, which makes it possible to minimize pressure balance fluctuations.
The rear shock of BFRC-lite has a piston diameter of 30mm and a rod diameter of 12.5mm.
The world's first separate pressurized front fork for street sports is, of course, a world first, but its cutting-edge works machine-like appearance and bolt-on installation without the need for fitting parts are also appealing.
Of course, it is fully adjustable (Max -2.25 turns for extension / Max -1.75 turns for compression damping force, preload), but the hydraulic preload adjuster is mounted on the rear side (link side) for easy operation (normally it would be the opposite).
Hydro spring adjustment Min+16 clicks (total: 40 clicks)
Stroke 63mm: Spring rate 99.8 N/mm
While the arrangement seems like nothing, this area is also an effective use of space.
In addition, the shock length (= ride height adjustment) is also variable.
It is a nut type and its adjustment part is located on the upper side.
The rear shock is equipped with a compression (COM) and extension (TEN) damping force adjustment mechanism on the upper side (frame side).
The upper mount also has a variable shock length mechanism.
On the other hand, hydraulic preload adjustment is located on the link side.
