■TYPE-R Lineup of "Made in Japan" wheels with attention to detail Equipped with machined aluminum hubs and D.I.D. DirtStar rims. The combination of high-strength hubs and reliable D.I.D rims provides a high level of rigidity. In addition, double-butted spokes are adopted to ensure rigidity while achieving thorough weight reduction. This makes it possible to communicate the road conditions and changes that the rider desires in an easy-to-understand manner through the suspension. As a result, the rider can enjoy riding and extract the performance of the machine to the limit. This is the development concept behind the TYPE-R series, which advocates "real performance".
The hub color of TYPE-R can be selected freely.(For example, change the basic color of red for Honda vehicles to blue.) If you want a hub other than the color of each manufacturer, please select your favorite color from the pull-down menu at the bottom. Please select your favorite color for the colored nipple.
1.CNC aluminum billet hub adopted The billet hubs are machined from 6061-T6 to achieve the perfect balance of strength and weight. The wheel bearings and seals are made in Japan with high reliability and attention to detail. The number of spokes is 36 for all models to give a high sense of rigidity.
2. D.I.D Dirt Star Black Rim The Dirt Star rim is an aftermarket rim that is both light and strong. TGR is particular about the matching of hubs and rims, and has prepared specially designed rims to match the billet hubs. The [Dirt Star] rim has the "perfect balance of stiffness with flexibility" that only a top-notch manufacturer can provide, and it can meet the demands of a wide range of rider skills, from Sunday riders to professional class riders, without making the rider feel unnecessarily stiff.
3. Adopting aluminipple High precision spline drive aluminum nipple. The spline drive nipple manufactured from A2014 material at a specialized factory in Japan is processed with high precision, and compared with general nipples, it is difficult to lick and makes torque management easy. The nipple of the highest level, which is adopted only by the first-class manufacturers at a high cost, is luxuriously used in TYPE-R, giving not only the function but also the pleasure of ownership. Red, blue, green, gold and orange coloured anodized nipples can be selected if preferred.
4. Double-butted spokes Double-butted spokes are used for the special spokes. Double-butted spokes are high-end spokes that are thicker at both ends, where strength is required, and thinner in the middle, where there is more room for strength, in order to satisfy the contradictory elements of high strength and weight reduction. The impact on strength is kept to a minimum, and the weight can be significantly reduced compared to ordinary straight-type spokes. The high end spokes that many aftermarket wheel manufacturers are hesitant to use due to their high cost TGR's commitment is to use the best products without compromise. (The material will be stainless steel or steel depending on the type of vehicle or the type of wheel.There is no option to choose.)
5. Wheel assembly by skilled workers The wheel assembly process is handled by our own experienced and dedicated mechanics to ensure high precision wheel assembly.
6. SKF wheel seal as standard equipment The SKF wheel seal, which has been called the "strongest wheel seal" with both low friction and long bearing life, is equipped as standard equipment on all TGR lineup models.
7. Hub color can be selected as you like! For example, a CRF250 with blue hubs can be done. All models are available in red, blue, green, gold, orange and black.
