In order to realize Belfast's concept of "Sporting on Harley-Davidson", the wheel was a necessary part, and it was born by the collaboration with Active Co.
■Design
Nostalgic cross-section 6-spoke design.
Cross-sectional 6-spoke design is adopted to match Harley-Davidson.Despite the nostalgic design, the 6-spoke design with a 60-degree angle provides excellent stress distribution and a well-balanced structure for pursuing rigidity and weight reduction.It is a shape that has been arrived at in order to achieve both design and performance.Two colors are available: gold, reminiscent of the good old days of racing, and gloss black to enhance the feet.
Smooth lines with attention to detail.
In the customization of Harley-Davidson, it is not allowed to compromise the looks in order to get the performance.The design of the BG6 was completed without any compromise.
In particular, the design of the hub area, which spreads out smoothly and rises up, is an important point to produce the volume and depth of the entire wheel.

The unsprung weight of a motorcycle has a great influence on these three actions: acceleration, deceleration, and turning.The weight of the wheel is the largest part of the weight under the spring.By reducing the weight of the wheel, the performance of the motorcycle is improved and the enjoyment of riding the motorcycle at will is enhanced.
[Aluminum forging process for both weight reduction and strength assurance.]
Forging aluminum is a process that achieves a high level of compatibility between the conflicting requirements of reducing wheel weight and securing strength.
In general, cast wheels are designed to have a certain amount of thickness in the rim section in order to secure strength, but forged wheels can secure sufficient strength, so it is possible to minimize the thickness of the rim section.A forged wheel with a lighter spinning circumference reduces the gyroscopic effect and makes the motorcycle quicker in cornering.

To make the Sportster more sporty, I chose 19 inches front and 18 inches rear.Also available on the XL1200CX Roadster in 2016, the rear 18-inchers bring a big change to the Sportster's image with a silhouette reminiscent of the café racers of yesteryear.The rear rim width is 4.0 inches, which allows for tires up to 150 wide to be mounted.You can also choose from a wide range of tyres.
