Usually, NBR is used for fork oil seals, but there is a more suitable material than NBR.
That is "XNBR".
This material, which also has high sealing properties, is about three times as abrasion resistant as NBR and about 1.5 times as fracture resistant.
The dust seal is ARI159.
XNBR has higher sealing performance than NBR normally used for fork oil seals, with approximately 3 times the wear resistance and 1.5 times the fracture resistance of NBR.
