■4 inches megaphone standard side type The SUPERSTRAP can quickly and easily adapt to various conditions and shows us how much fun it can be to treat the exhaust as a single setting component. The exhaust setting is done by a diffuser disc which has a structure unique to Supertrap. By adding this disc, the area of the exhaust port is expanded and the exhaust air pressure is reduced. This widens the power band and increases power at the maximum rpm of the engine, which has the effect of reducing the fuel mixture ratio and increasing exhaust noise. Conversely, reducing the number of discs has the effect of narrowing the power band, increasing torque at lower engine speeds, thickening the fuel mixture and reducing exhaust noise.
■Super Trap 4 inches megaphone axial flow disc (AXIAL FLOW DISC) rear exhaust AXIAL FLOW DISC means "exhaust disc along the axis of silencer" and it is the latest exhaust system of Supertrap. The axial flow is a special specification for the Japanese market. The Supertrap structure that can change the setting and the silence by the number of discs is kept, and it is developed to meet the requirement of the law without decreasing the performance. The feature of the Axial Flow is the rear exhaust (12 degree angle) unlike the conventional side exhaust (45 degree angle). The area around the exhaust port is now less dirty. In addition, the design is very different from the appearance of the conventional diffuser discs, giving a more futuristic feeling.
