Hideo Yoshimura, known as Pops, was a very talented man in tuning engine motors. He understood how every single piece of engine parts worked and able to bring out the most of its efficiency to the level that no one can match him.

 

 

He established Yoshimura Shop in 1954 starting with only a family business. From a tuning master, he began to work on exhausts. To be an expert in the exhaust system that well performed with one specific motorcycle, an excellent in the know-how of engine performance was what you need to perfect first. This was what made Pops went beyond any other exhaust manufacturers at that moment as his knowledge in the engine was top notch.

 

 

In 1973 Yoshimura established its first headquarters in USA, California, as “YOSHIMURA RACING” then changed to “YOSHIMURA R&D OF AMERICA” in 1975

The world got a first taste of how powerful Yoshimura’s exhaust and the engine was in 1978 AMA Superbike Championship. Yoshimura, then, claimed the title on their tuned Suzuki GS750 in amazement of all spectators. In the same year, Yoshimura Racing also came in as first place in the debut of Suzuka 8 Hours. This powerful exhaust and the tuned engine still conquer four straight championships of Daytona Superbike in 1978 – 1981 with Yoshimura Suzuki Team. This is what bounds Yoshimura and Suzuki together into a long-term relationship until this present day.

 

 

There is no doubt that a world-class manufacturer like Yoshimura cannot be located in only Japan and America. Its fame and glory spread throughout the world as well as in Thailand. The Asia branch first established in 2013 as Yoshimura Asia located in Thailand in order to provide more high-performance motorcycle exhausts to all Asian riders.

 

 

The most popular exhaust series of Yoshimura at the moment is none other than Cyclone R-11 and R-77 series. The differences of these two series are the looks and sound. R-11 gives an aggressive racing style. Also, comes with a little more power and louder. While R-77 is popular in mini bike and small street bike. R-77 gives a harmonious sound for daily use to an outgoing adventure with friends.
