The new Duke 200 would also adopt a similar styling albeit with a different color theme.

 

The 2017 KTM Duke 390 has been rendered based on the spy shot and boy , it looks sharp! KTM designers have upped the aggressiveness of what is an already aggressive street fighter.

 

Slated to make its world premiere at the EICMA 2016 in Milan, the motorcycle’s design derives a few cues from the flagship Super Duke 1290, especially the prominent fuel tank extension.

The rendering also comes up with a new fuel tank and tailpiece for the next gen model. Holding together the new Duke would be a trellis chassis with a fresh rear sub-frame.  Thanks to the Euro-4 emission norms, the underbelly exhaust system would give way to a conventional canister (the rendering shows a custom Akrapovic unit).

 

The spy shot revealed that the motorcycle will receive a futuristic LED headlamp and a larger fully digital instrument console. The switch gears and handlebar grips that were shared with the Pulsars have also been phased out in favor of better quality elements.

Powering the new Duke and RC390 would be the existing 373.2 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine but we could be treated with enhanced refinement and outputs.

 

 The transmission will continue to be a 6-speed unit.

The 2017 KTM Duke 390 and RC 390 would continue to be manufactured at Bajaj’s Chakan plant for global consumption. Sales in India is expected to commence sometime in early 2017.
